A slightly longer version about how my OC met.

It feels amazing to finish another comic and more importantly, it's about my own OC. While my own ideas is always too grounded, might be borderline boring, not having big action, not having interesting premise, or not something with fresh idea; it's still a nice form of escapism.

It's said that Ukoku's favorite drink is carbonated drinks and alcohol, but since soda mentioned first, I take it as he'd choose soda over alcohol in pick one situation. He started to like alcohol - particularly, wine, during his time together with Koumyou. I imagined their relationship wasn't like other pair who clicked with good intention, but more Ukoku tolerating Koumyou because Koumyou is the only one who could devour Ukoku. Slowly, Koumyou's everything started growing on him, maybe water tastes like wine when they're together.

(I couldn't find mention about specific kind of alcohol for their favorite drink, but in Saiyuki x HUB collaboration 2023, Ukoku's drink is Whiskey, Kahlua, Cola mix. Koumyou is white wine and apple juice.)

My bad habit is to make something get out from my system first even it's not clear enough 😂 What if they met in already dark world, where they're not on the side of good guys? Where the most difficult, dangerous thing is to become the mayhem itself?

Most of the time I repeat "beware of the nice ones" personality throughout all my fan comics because I'm not satisfied yet with Koumyou being scary, incorporating with "Koumyou might be a sadist to pair Ukoku's secret masochism".

It's been a while since I published it, so I wanna share the PDF version of my 2 Tsukiyami doujinshi that's printed some years ago

Both is Koumyou Sanzo x Ukoku Sanzo ship book, and warning about some violence, blood, dark stuff, the.. standard Saiyuki warning I guess.

Language: English. I'm not native English speaker, so I apologize if the dialog sounds weird.

Is the collection from comics I draw in 2018 until 2021. Originally my comics were drawn for web (vertical) format. It's separate stories and overall theme is dark. !! Warning for a R18 chapter. It's my first book so it's still a bit messy~

Is doujinshi published in 2022, another solo anthology about Tsukiyami relationship in [Four Season] Theme, the stories are all connected. Overall lighter theme because I was terrified after rereading how dark first book was, some Chinese culture references and Teresa Teng's song (lol)

This book very much have implied meaning with dialog, it might be a bit hard to notice the hints, but it's all about Koumyou relationship with Ukoku, between a colleague, also a mentor, maybe friends, or maybe closer than friends, in metaphor of Four Seasons - Born in Spring, Grow in Summer, Reaped in Autumn, Stored in Winter, and its relevancy to current chapter's festival. For example, Qingming festival (festival of tomb-sweeping, to reverence one's ancestors) in Spring, Quifen in Autumn (Midautumn festival to gather with friends and family, to eat moon cake together in happy occassion). Please see notes in the end for short description about what actually referenced in the chapter

2023 is my sixth year in Tsukiyami brainrot -- seventh, maybe. But my first comic is from 2018 so let's put it that way. I love Saiyuki from the end of my elementary school that's so.. very long ago. I got interested with Koumyou and Ukoku just "recently" ("Recently" as in relative with my love for the series haha)

I never thought I could be this consistent on drawing, screaming, and crying about them. Thank you friends who stay with me from 2018, I still can't believe that I am persistent enough to draw them for six years straight: 500+ images of any combination of Koumyou and Ukoku, 200 pages of doujinshi rooted from a mini arc named BURIAL . I always see myself as a lazyass in general so.. I'm genuinely surprised by this willpower.

Last year, those two MIRACULOUSLY gets the attention outside Kagekiden, they featured in Saiyuki FESTA 2022, has merchandise from Zeroin, some from 25th anniversary, and I got a chance to fly to Tokyo Exhibition --- not stopping there, A COLLAB CAFE APPEARED - THEY FEATURED AS DRINKS, it was like, they telling me, "Hey Gio, let's celebrate your dream come true in HUB Machida. Love, shameless old men Koumyou & Ukoku xoxo" 😂

Love (even to 2D characters) work in strange ways...

Here are some preview from the log. This year is noticably less than 2022 log but sure it's gayer

This year I finally saw Mine-sensei's drawings by my own eyes, my dream come true, I shipped myself to Japan, not just my doujin!!! Sensei's drawings.. Sensei's Koumyou and Ukoku.. so beautiful I cried inside 😭😭😭

Congratulations for 25th Anniversary for Saiyuki! I'll be back for 30th anniversary!
