You know what I'm enjoying more and more? Restoring features on period properties like these sash windows. After years of neglect and rot, old sills cut out and pressure treated timber or hardwood sills installed. The big one is pressure treated, small is tulip wood. Fixed in place with treated decking screws and wooden plugs with exterior grade adhesive and caulking. Weatherproofing coats applied ready for the customer to paint. Huge upgrade. New skills unlocked! Contact me if your windows need some tlc...

A neat little project to hide away a messy corner in an entrance way. All the meters crammed into the same space making the area awkward and difficult to work with. MDF construction with flip down sections to allow access. Shoe storage below finished in a shaker style. Customer to paint, more photos to follow.

Customer review:
Sim did a great job on my entrance flat door. It was a struggle to close and lock it. Now the door and lock aligns and easy to use - very happy. Also a fire strip was installed, which was a big help for me.

Acoustic panel to create a softer aesthetic and help with the sound quality of the room. Very quick to size and install. Rerouted the electrical connection by running a spur from the neighbouring room, all cables now discreetly hidden away.

Built in alcove wardrobe. MDF construction. Top section for storage of occasional stuff, bottom kitted out with rails and three decent sized drawers. Two and a half days work. Really good use of the space. More pictures to follow when the customer paints.

That's the quickest time ever a board has made it into a customers home and been put to good use! Pictures on social media in less than an hour during the recent Christmas fair.

What a fun little project! Ceiling hooks for a gymnastics hammock. Attached to 100mm square post timber as noggins between the joists in the loft space to distribute the weight evenly. Two for the hammock and one in the middle to lift yourself out. A long awaited birthday present finally complete. Hooks have a 300kg rating and each could easily hold my weight dangling below. If you've got something unusual you don't know how to tackle then drop me a line.
