Oh, with Dipper's reputation to go easier on kids imagine cults kidnapping kids to try and get a better deal. That fad doesn't last long

Are Alcors standards for deal making different for adults and children? Like, would he accept a deal that's not quite ideal if it were a kid but refuse if ti were an adult? Would he go easier on children?
Definitely. In fact, I would doubt there’d be a time where a child would summon him (it would be rare) and he would ever take advantage of the situation like others demons would. He’s got a reputation to uphold so it’s not like he immediately goes all paternal on them - he’s a lot more subtle with how he treats them gentler.
Dipper does after all, eventually, get the reputation for going easy on kids. Not that anyone really understands why.

I was thinking about Henry and Wendy and I remembered that really annoying “gingers have no soul” joke. Wendy and Henry are friends with and willingly interact with a demon. …they’d have a hard time not having people making that joke then… (well, probably not many people from Gravity Falls would say it but still)

(*1*) Okay, so for the first few dates Henry and Mabel don't encounter anything supernatural (besides Dipper who Henry still hasn't seen). But then on the third or fourth date they're talking when OH GOD SUPERNATURAL ATTACK EVERYONE DOWN. Mabel summons Dipper and the two take out the threat, but they're acutely aware that they're now covered in monster blood, Dipper's got pointy teeth and bat wings, and Henry had to have seen Mabel stab that thing in the eye.
(*2*)So Dipper starts getting ready to protect Mabel and she starts saying it’s okay if Henry leaves. Henry bursts out with “Leaving you? What, no. Why would I…that’s the complete opposite of what I was thinking.” Mabel perks up and Dipper relaxes, but now she’s badgering Henry, trying to figure out what the complete opposite is. Henry goes bright red and mutters something about it not being appropriate for the third date.
(*3*) He realizes his mistake when Dipper starts growling with this murderous expression and quickly backtracks, “Nononono not that at all—marriage I meant marriage!” There’s silence for a moment, and then Henry facepalms. Mabel starts giggling and Dippers just floating blankly until the summons times out and he’s back in the dreamscape. Mabel starts laughing harder as she starts holding the (now invisible) Dipper back and Henry just sits there completely moritified.

ok but what if some of the powers that willow got from dipper are like. EXCLUSIVELY something that only demons are supposed to be able to do. imagine how many teachers freak out because /holy shit this child is conjuring fire at will/. imagine people thinking she's possessed
There is one teacher, new to town, who tries to exorcize the demon from Willow when she is in third grade.
It does Not Go Well.
(Also thank you anon for giving mod s yet another darn fic idea)

imagine if acacia started filming dipper while he's doing things like scrubbing the fridge and making eggs and sneezing like a kitten, and putting them online
Before Henry and Mabel find out and make her take it down, Acacia’s YouTube channel “cute shit my uncle does” has almost 10000 subscribers.

how do you think dip would react if a cat was affectionate towards him? oh god. just. i just imagine a cat rubbing itself on his leg and him letting out the most embarrasing scream
It’s Henry’s lucky day-dipper was corporeal and Henry had a phone camera at hand.
He then plays that clip for the next four years whenever Dipper really wears on his nerves

…i can imagine some pretty bad scenarios for the au but Dip and Mabel’s parents coming over unexpectedly to see a very visible and corporeal Dipper gently nomming nibling toes is still pretty high on the list

from post/99295849788, I imagine a kid being drawn to summon Alcor without realizing what they're doing would be waaay down the line. As in, the family is really dispersed and Dipper doesn't spend as much time with one individual family so he sees each less and less each generation, so they don't know him as closely as, say, the triplets or their immediate grandkids. So when they summon Alcor they think they messed up and don't know he's actually Grunkle Dipper. They get in trouble with (cont)
(cont’d) their school, yeah, and probably get a huge punishment like cleaning all the classrooms or something, but they’re super relieved and curious the DEMON didn’t hurt them and is just… laughing his ass off in the background somewhere (out of visibility). When they finally get a chance to talk Alcor just grins and asks if they want to make a small deal to get some help with the punishment, before explaining who he is. and then sticking around to hang out more with this great-nibling of his

From what I understand, it's unique among demons that Alcor can show up and even physically manifest without summons. I think that's the scariest thing about him; like, 1st time he visits non-family buds like Cassie w/out being summoned is an unpleasant shock even if they trust him by then. For cults/enemies it would be the most terrifying moment of their life. Other demons can only harmlessly dreamfollow you w/out a deal, but once Alcor has an interest in you he won't go away until he wants to.
this is 10000% why Dipper has the potential to become something more akin to a god than a demon further down the road; as he gets more powerful, he needs less and less “outside” energy (from summons and deals and souls and the like) to manifest himself in the physical world. he can come and go as he pleases, and can even begin to alter the world like he would be able to in the mindscape.
it doesn’t take long for people to start realizing this, and is why Alcor is considered the most powerful, and most dangerous entity out there. Demons are crazy strong, but they have a sizable handicap - Dipper doesn’t share that same handicap, and it diminishes as the years go on.

What if, one of Mabel's reincarnations Summons Alcor, and offers up her soul, to which he replies "I already own it."
there is no way this wouldn’t be horribly tense and angsty and possibly heart breaking
but all i can imagine is Dipper grimacing and being all “yeaahhhhhh… this. this is awkwarrrddd….”

Hey if Wendy makes deals so often she'd probably get a summoning circle tattooed somewhere to use whenever she needs to summon Dip (like that one guy did in Blue Exorcist)
yes good

Headcanon: hundreds and hundreds of years down the line Dipper's still sort of keeping an eye on the family line and someone (possibly a reincarnation of Mabel) has quadruplets whose souls are Robbie, Pacifica, Gideon, and Bill, and Dipper recognizes them all as soon as he sees them and he's just "are you fUCKING kidding me out of ALL POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS JFC"

I like to think that there comes a point where it's not just Mabel singing on the answering machine, but Henry and Soos and Grunkle Stan and Wendy and the triplets. Eventually it's not just an answering machine, but like a scrapbook of the recordings of people who were family to him. It keeps growing longer and longer with the new people who he meets, and maybe one day, at the very end, right before he loses that last little bit of humanity, he adds his message too.
those aren’t tears in my eyes hahaha it’s just unsufferable pain

At some point cults should be registered and if your not registered you will be asked to or they will disband you because of the possible illigal activity. Er.. something like that.
hahaha I love it, it’s like making a new fraternity or something. Imagine the paperwork for it.

A huge part of Alcor's soft spot for children is that they can be what he can't. He was twelve when the Transcendence happened, so he never got the chance to really grow up. But they can grow up, and he wants to see them grow up, because he wouldn't wish his fate on anyone. But, deep down, he can't feel a little bit jealous of them.
yes yes yes
in addition, it’s also because children are overall, less corrupted by humanity. it’s easier for him to be around them and not take note of every sin they hold, every possible dark corner of their minds he could potentially exploit
but also because some of his most cherished memories are when he was a child himself before the Transcendence, and when Mabel had her triplets. those were the two points in his life that he had the least worries. children remind him of many things, all of them wonderful and good and pure and he can’t help but want to protect that. and some part of him, deep down, is still that 12 year old human boy who so desperately wants to belong.

What about Wendy?
-Wendy’s favorite weapon is rune enforced and blessed throwing axes
-Wendy rides a motorcycle with a star map on it highlighting the big dipper, Alcor and Mizar.
-Wendy gaining so much knowledge about ghosts and the like writes books about dealing with ghosts, monsters and anything supernatural. She also starts a novel line about her adventures.
-One of her many books is titled “How to: Peaceful Exorcisms” and her best seller “The Supernatural: Threat or No?” Mabel proudly displays Wendy’s books in the library and recommends them to everyone
-Wendy speaking at conventions, in schools, in front of congress, AT THE UN about the realities of the supernatural
-Wendy breaks up a cult one time that was attempting human sacrifice but learns that the sacrifice was an orphaned kid, so she adopts them and trains them to master their trauma
-Dipper placing her under his protection as she attracts more and more attention
-Wendy taking up teaching self defense classes and advocating the end of Abstinence Only classes in schools when dealing with Demon summoning
-Wendy being the cool Aunt and for a while Willow and her work together
-Wendy having her own page on every Supernatural, Demon and Hunter wiki
-Its breaking news one day when Wendy disappears without a trace and only Dipper knows what really happened to her and he wishes he didn’t. Her body is never found.
-Her disappearance becomes very politically charged as both pro and anti transcendence groups try to twist the event in favor of their platforms
-Schools watching documentaries about prominent figures in the early days of the transcendence and Wendy gets a prominent role in each one
-Endless conspiracy theories about what happened to Wendy
-Dipper getting summons asking for the truth behind Wendy Corduroy disappearance but always places a steep price for that knowledge
-Dipper never stops feeling guilty about her disappearance
well that got really dark didn’t it?
