literally. like dont use ai. if you aren’t gonna read a book use like spark notes or like ask a friend. don’t use ai.
i beg of you to cheat with dignity.
Honestly, y'all, I'm begging you. Take the time to think and learn for yourself. Even if it's just something casual like knitting or cooking. Exercise your brain. It's important.

and if i said that the appeal of white supremacy to the right and the feelings of hollowness that follow breaking away from that stem from the construction of white supremacy itself?
if i said that in the construction of white supremacy a white blanket was thrown over a plethora of cultures, ripping people out of their own history for the sake of oppressing non white people?
if i said the lack of connection to one’s culture contributes to the anger and hatred pushed at others who do have a cultural connection?
if i said that white people who are anti-racist and don’t uphold white superiority values, who cut off family members that do but also group up in that environment don’t have a connection to anything?
and yes our the white people that came before us are to blame.
disclaimer: this is in no way implying that any of this is worse than what poc have endured. this is also not true of white peoples globally, just based off my own experience in white usa.

to the anon blogger who informed me that i unknowingly interacted with someone’s abuser. thank you for bringing it to my attention. i am no longer following or interacting with said acc.
i don’t want to support or interact with abusers and rapists and if you see that i have please know you can tell me without me getting defensive. i know what it’s like first hand to see my abusers get support.
stay safe out there lovelies.

The last days of the petition against conversion therapy are FASCINATING to watch. I have been following it pretty closely for almost a year now, and the progress was, above all, steady. There was this jump when some algorithm in Finland picked it up, but even that was local.
And now, everyone is panicking.
Which really shows.
These past three or four days, multiple countries have reached the threshold. Even more notably, the number of signatures in total, the ones that we need to get one million of, are growing rapidly. There are only 400'000 signatures missing. Two days ago, it was closer to 600'000.
You can see the progress here:
Consider joining the fun by making everyone around you sign it!

phd question
im getting ready to finish my masters and will NOT be doing a phd immediately but the option is always on the horizon. so i just wanted to ask:
is it worth it? if my career end goal is a curator instead of a professor would a phd be beneficial to me?
i think when the time comes ill just talk to an academic advisor but i wanted opinions.

dear autistics who
white
low support needs
not need 24/7 support
can work independently
can pay taxes
language privileged
intellectual & cognitive privileged
who can fit in societal definition of useful & productive (yes, even if hard)
when fight back against eugenics & ableism, you NEED to fight alongside, fight with, n fight for autistics who
radicalized & POC
from places of world where there critically lack autism knowledge n support
visibly autistic
higher support needs
need 24/7 care
can’t work independently or even work at all
can’t pay taxes
nonverbal, nonspeaking, minimally verbal, without functional communication, or cannot communicate via language at all even AAC
w intellectual disability or cognitive disabilities
who cannot fit into society definition of useful n productive, no matter how hard we try
because we always are & always will be primary target.
because we most vulnerable most marginalized within our, OUR community, which you belong in.
because once they finish us off you won’t be spared.

fr i understand raising a kid with higher support needs is harder and i do think parents deserve compassion and understanding. BUT there is a difference between “im burnt out and frustrated because raising my kid is harder” and being hostile and abusive.
yeah i wasn’t an easy child but did i deserve to be screamed at, hit, and manhandled because of my autism. no tf i didn’t.
the issue isn’t parents of autistic children being allowed to speak the issue is they are the ONLY ones. Let autistic people talk on autistic issues.
so many parents of autistic children who are “advocates” are so hostile to autistic adults while complaining about how violent and upsetting and hard to manage their children are. like. I’m not sure autism is what is ‘tearing your family apart’, it might be your abuse and ableism.

Taking care of the disabled and injured is human nature actually. We have evidence of our ancestors caring for folks with disabilities. We're a cooperative species that takes care of their own. If our starving, weary, and hunted ancestors could care for the disabled members of their tribe, in this era of modern medicine and abundant resources we absolutely can afford to do the same.

i don’t have a diagnosis but idk i didn’t feel relief at being able to hide. i felt so fucking angry and lost. yes those that can’t hide, we got to help protect them.
but i’ve been working through my guilt and shame in therapy and i’ve finally gotten to a point to pursue a diagnosis because im struggling without one and then i heard the news. i’m not going to get one now but i it’s like something was taken from me.
anyways. i agree: protect the entire community or stfu.
I’m gonna need able bodied people going “thank g-d I’m undiagnosed/didn’t get evaluated!!!” in reaction to the Robert F Kennedy news to shut the hell up expeditiously. Celebrating that you won’t be put down like the most vulnerable members of our community is disgusting. Either you’re disabled, and you’re in it with us, with people who can’t HIDE that fact, or you’re not, in which case it’s none of your business and you’re not one of us.

"Actually many disabled people do contribute to society" is not a great argument against eugenics, by the way.
#this#it doesn’t matter if people can’t contribute they still deserve to fucking exist#i don’t give a fuck#i’d rather need to support my high support needs friends than see them suffer because they “don’t contribute#ableism#eugenics
