The skin color thing happens constantly and it's so annoying. Not only do people accuse others of whitewashing for drawing someone with the correct skin tone, the same people will praise others who draw that same person with a much darker skin tone than they actually have. I wish people would understand how skin tone and lighting works. I swear too many people think that a white person must be very light while everyone else is darker. As a latino, this also happens very often with us since we have a wide variety of skin color from dark to light. You were completely right about that actress's skin tone

Some loser accused me that i’m coloring lady raven from trap movie too white, but when I mention the fact that even though the actress have Indian descent, her skin tone is light as her co-star who is white, just a different tone, they should go look at the photos of the two of them together before accusing me. and not all south asians have dark skin, it was so racist to think that and accuse me of that. And then they blocked me💀 Ugh, it's not that I don't see the importance of representation, but the obsession some people in western fandom have with skin color of fictional characters has always amazed me.
