I think I am psyching myself out with this chapter since this is where a lot of the plot elements start escalating/coming together (even if it's not super obvious to the readers).

Occasionally the perfectionism bug bites me. This is why I often post the chapter only after a couple editing pass-throughs and not doing what I did back in college (which was write, do a couple editing passthroughs, *wait a week*, then do a final edit when I can see everything clearer) and often do the final edit later *after posting*. Becuase otherwise my anxiety kicks in too hard and I find it difficult to finish the chapter at all.

This is 100% I have the "No Beta we die like Polites" tag.

But now it's biting at me while I'm just trying to get the words down and it's driving me up the wall.

Also, the reason I am not surprised characters like Airyn are underrated is because it really takes end game to appreciate her, and she also is hard as hell to find. So.

Makes sense there is little to no fanart.

Sidenote: I do love how the Date Everything fandom is just FERAL about Hector.

Ok so finished my first run (where I had the 'can't max out charm points' glitch so... none of the 100 charm point peeps I could finish the storyline of)

And here is my ranking influenced by the stories and endings I did see-

~(SPOILER WARNING- ALL THE PICS OF ARE THEM AS THEY ARE MOST THE GAME, BUT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ALL THE DATEABLES THAN WARNING! Also really vague and personal spoiler for Mac's ending story which I'm sure most people won't mind, but plummeted them from a B to a E for me basically.)~

Sidenote- How is there is little love for Prissy, Dunk and Phoenicia? Like yes I am a basic bitch with my love for Volt and Eddie, but these three are all easily accessible, adorable, and have great storylines even before you hit the ending.

FINALLY MY NEW CHAPTER IS WORKING. URGH.

...So I've re-written the beginning of the new chapter for my Sharpwolf "Fighting for (a) Home" roughly 3 times. I've deleted at least 5 pages worth of text by now. Turns out, it was just my weird-ass form of synesthesia acting up because I wasn't getting the ~feel~ right (which is a set of sensations and associations for me). I spent an hour going through songs that won't go on the playlist but at least have the right vibe, so now I'm blasting Hozier's Eat Your Young and the chapter is finally working.

The problem with compiling a playlist for my fic to jam to while writing, is it gives me ideas for MORE fic.

Like I already had an Omega!Antinous/Alpha!Telemachus loosely planned based on ideas I had to scrap for my current fic to help it's focus and flow, but now I have an Darker AU idea brewing where Antinous' father was not saved by Odyssesus, and instead given over for his piracy to sooth their allies based on pressure from the Ithacan council.

So Antinous basically grows up disgraced, training his ass off for revenge against nearly all of Ithaca's nobility, AND THAT'S JUST THE BACKGROUND BEFORE THE FIC WOULD START.

And thank you the song Seven Devils for inspiring this as if I needed ANOTHER idea on the books. (Basically this idea comes down to 'hey so what if Antinous COULD string the bow? And had a grudge against everyone in the damn room? Odyssesus good news buddy you don't gotta kill the suitors anymore but uhhhh you may have bigger problems)

It really doesn't help that my Omega!Antinous fic doesn't have a driving idea yet, where this one does and is like a devouring beast taking up my mind.
