“I don’t have to turn you,” Monty says, looking right into Edwin’s eyes. “I can leave, right now.”

“But you will not,” Edwin says, and he says it like it’s a fact- not a fact as in an order, as in you won’t because I’ll stop you, but rather because Edwin knows that Monty would never leave him and Charles, because Monty is as weak to their hunger as they are. “Yes, I could have Charles turn me, but…”

“I want it to be both of you, Monty,” Edwin says, “I want this because I want to be with you two. Close with you two. I would rather be the same as you than not with you at all.”

Edwin lets go of one of Monty’s hands in order to place a finger beneath Monty’s chin, tilting it up so that he’s forced to look Edwin right in the eye.

“You matter, Monty,” Edwin says, “This is all that matters.”

Edwin could not move, could not think, could not comprehend. He dimly heard Niko gasp behind him, saw Crystal stumble backward in his periphery, but he could not react. The ice spread from his heart through to the rest of him, rooting him to the spot.

In the middle of the attic, floating a couple inches off the floor, was a vaguely humanoid assemblage of spectral energy. It had the right number of limbs, connected by a blob that could have been a torso, topped by something shaped more like a light bulb than a head and neck. The whole assemblage glowed faintly, and the wailing seemed to be emanating from it, unbearably loud in the cramped space.

My first piece for @chaoticbooklesbian's fic, The Case of the Faceless Ghosts, done for @deadbangdetectives. This little scene is from chapter one, which is available to read RIGHT NOW AS WE SPEAK, so go read it!! We're both so excited to share it with you!

Daphne looked around before leaning forward and whispering: “She became a ghost.” Edwin sat up a little straighter, his interest clearly piqued. “Come again?” Daphne threw her hands up hopelessly. “I was keeping an eye on a patient while his nurse was out when my assistant came running in and told me that there was a little ghost girl in room 208 looking at her own body.” She lowered her voice to a whisper. “Her alive body.” Or: When a young client comes in caught between life and death, the only people who can help her are the Dead Boy Detective Agency

Creatives are the backbone of a thriving community, and we have some of the best, in my humble opinion. 💜

There are three sections:

Buyable Goods - I.e., any fan merch ranging from art prints, clothing items, accessories, keychains, standees, candles, nail polishes, etc.

Open Commissions Masterlist - Includes artists who are in the fandom and have created art for our community that currently have their commissions open.

Freebies and Collaborative Fan projects - Freebies are any items that members of the community have shared as free resources; this is usually downloadable material (sticker packs, for example) that fans are free to do what they want with. - Collaborative Fan Projects include any organized project where our artists, writers, and so on have come together for a common goal. I've included ones that are finished and ongoing, such as zines (x, x), the Best Frames Project, Oracle Cards, and more.

Down the line, I'm looking at potentially adding a 4th tab for charity-specific projects. But for now, I feel like this is a good start! 💜
