A staircase. Another staircase. A building.

Walls. White walls. And in the center, a red armored door.

An elevator? Maybe.

Claustrophobic? Definitely.

Where are you going?

You don’t know.

You only know you have to go in.

Then stairs again. White walls. The red door.

But he’s there. Always there. Every time you enter and exit and repeat the same sequence an indefinite number of times.

Always those 100 meters behind you.

He does nothing. He just watches you, arms crossed over his chest. Right at the entrance of the building.

But he judges you.

A staircase. This time behind you.

He’s there, at the foot of the stairs.

He grabs a chain and, with slow and controlled—yet somehow ruthless—movements, ties one end to the collar of a brown Pitbull and the other to the neck of a chicken.

Then he lets them go.

But he looks at you. Smiles, just barely.

And you know this is a trial, a test of who survives last. You know he’s testing you. He wants to see if you can escape.

The dog and the chicken start fighting each other as they charge toward you.

The smell of raw chicken meat begins to fill the air. Feathers fly everywhere.

The dog bites. The chicken goes for the eyes.

You run.

Your life depends on it. If the dog catches you, it’s over.

You stop at the top of the stairs. An impulse pushes you to look back.

A lake of blood and a chicken in the center.

A panting dog—a German shepherd—has reached the top of the stairs.

It stops.

It looks at you. You look at it.

You know what’s about to happen. You feel the anguish and you wish you could (should you?) stop it.

And then it happens.

A paw lifts, a sudden and vicious bite at the base, a jet of blood. An animal collapses to the ground.

But you know well that animal suffered. It didn’t want to hurt the chicken.

It was forced by circumstance.

It couldn’t take it.

It was meant to be.

Ghostblade is THE character of all time. He has no hobbies. He spends his entire free time stalking his daughter. He had no tragic reason for becoming an assassin and his job doesn't bother him in the slightest, he just likes people shutting up because he's autistic. He fell in love at first sight. He manages to be a boyfailure despite being a middle aged man. His main method of contacting his boss is via phone call even though he is mute. He doesn't turn the lights on in his own home. He still thinks the name "ghostblade" is the coolest. He's a trained assassin but gets noticed repeatedly by his citizen daughter. He never once thought to send her a letter. His wife left him for reasons totally unrelated to his job as a killer. He's incredibly hot.
