      “hmm?”

      Craig turned to face the other, raising a brow a little from       the other’s words. Well that was the first time someone       complimented his hat. 

      “Got it from my real mom when she put me up for adoption.       To big when I first got it but it fits now” He crouched down       to get a better look at the name “Got a name?”

ah, so there was a story behind it. though he was currious, Ver decided it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to ask why his mom put him up for adoption.

instead, he directs his attention to his dog as the other crouched to get a better look at him. “This is Coda. he’s fairly harmless”

The dog in question tried to jump at the stranger excitedly, luckily Ver had the leash wrapped around his hand to keep Coda from toppling the other man.

not so luckily it didn’t exactly prevent Coda from barking. The husky wanted to say hi, and so he did, loudly.

stranger:

“Uh- It’s a…” Shit. How does one tell a stranger that they’re holding a grimoire? Hopefully, they wouldn’t read through what she had written down so far. Not that it was anything confidential. Sage just didn’t like it when people looked over her shoulder.

“It’s a what?” maybe looking over her shoulder wouldn’t help him get a definite answer. Ver decides to stop looking over her shoulder and try to guess what it was. “Seems to me like it’s a journal of some kind.” he wasn’t sure if he was right or not, but it did look like a bunch of handwritting to him. or maybe it was a notebook for a class or something. “Or are those notes? what class is it for?”

Ichabod:

“I have to say, it looks really nice,” Ichabod said as he looked at Ver’s phone, “I would love to join you in riding it, you chose a really nice colour, man.” He smiled up at the other man as he complimented his new motorcycle, secretly pretty excited to take it out for a test ride with his friend.

“Thanks, man!” Ver smiled right back. he was proud of his new bike, and he was excited Ich wanted to ride it with him. he couldn’t wait to take it everywhere. “If you’re able to we can go over to my place right now and we can try it out right away” This was going to be so much fun! just the two of them riding down the streets on Ver’s new motorcycle. he couldn’t wait!

“I like your piercings.” Ver tells the other. they had some pretty cool ones while the only one he really had was a tongue piercing. “If you don’t mind me asking, how much did they cost?” he was actually quite curious about them. and the person who wore them too.

“Mind if i sit here?” Ver asks as he slides into the booth seat in front of the stranger without waiting for a definite answer. the other seemed to be new in town, and Ver decided it’d be nice to welcome him, whether he was a tourist or new resident didn’t matter. “So, are you just visiting or are you a new kid on the block?”

“What’s that you got there?” Ver asks, looking over the stranger’s shoulder. she looked like she had something interesting in her hands. and being the curious man he was, Ver wanted to know what it was.

“Nice hat, dude” He tells the other cheerfully. Ver had been walking Coda when he saw the other crossing his path “Where’d you get it?” He made sure to hold onto coda’s leash and wrap it around his hand before the husky could jump up to greet the other.
