Even the phantoms holding their ethereal instruments jerked to her sudden appearance. Quickly regaining his composure a quizzical look appeared upon his face. Suddenly the light bulb clicked in his head.
After all today was the birth of Antonio Salieri.

Marie liked spending time with the Servants she had known in life. For her, it was such a blessing to see them all once again. d’Eon was as cute as she remembered, Amadeus loved flattering her at every opportunity he had, and Sanson…ah…she’d be lying if she said that at first she hadn’t been very comfortable around her once-executioner, but they had eventually talked things out, and were now…no, she considered him a friend, though Sanson tended to keep to himself more often these days.
And when she had heard that Antonio Salieri had been summoned, she had been so excited to see him once more. Except…
She didn’t see him. Not for a long time. She had heard that he was around, but not once did she catch a glimpse of him. Not until today. She had just come back from a mission, her hands still stinging from the overuse of her mana to fend off waves of enemies by using her glass fortifications. Thankfully, everyone in that team had managed and they had been victorious.
She had just stepped out into a hallway when she felt a pair of arms encircle her, and she let out a small cry of surprise. An enemy in Chaldea? That couldn’t be possible. She needed to turn around and yell whoever it was to release her immediately.
“Don’t…don’t turn around, Signora. Not just yet. I…” that voice, though a bit deeper, and raspier, was one she recognized.
“Ant-”
“Avenger.”
Eh? What….what did he mean by Avenger? Marie stayed still as the gloved hands that held her finally released her, their wielder sighing heavily behind her. “Maybe some other time I will explain, but it does soothe my mind to see you once more, Madame.”
