a laugh filled the air as eyes cautiously darted around – she usually made up for nerves by a witty, cold comment yet her usual sharp tongue seemed to have softened at this hour of the night. ‘ WELL. i’m lost and completely broke, but i’m not dead, so it’s not the worst off i’ve ever been.’ her jovial smile contrasted with her somber words, yet her tone was surprisingly up beat. she took a large step away from the shrub, heeding the ladies words and watching her step. she knew how protective klara got over her plant friends; she wasn’t going to argue with someone who also clearly knew their stuff. ‘ well – that’s REALLY impressive – all of the plants and trees are truly incredible, and of no discredit – but i was hoping you’d expand on where ? ‘ the second part added in a timid voice ; hushed as if worried it might offend the stranger.

     it’s truly ENDEARING, the other girl’s honestly. back in gotham city, back in new york -- you didn’t get that from most people. perhaps some people would see honesty as a WEAKNESS, but pamela was with kind of girl who saw it as a sign of worthyness. not to mention, her plants like the girl so ... another plus. “ you’re right. i always find not being dead a perk of waking up in the morning. ” not that pamela really needed to sleep, she got her energy from the SUN, but --- it was a hard habit to break. so instead the redhead gives the other a genuine smile. “ thanks, a lot of schooling went into knowing that. --- you’re in a forest right outside of brooklyn. i can get you back there, if you want. but, i gotta ask ... how’d you get here ?? ”

         a limp body fell at her feet,  and harley swings the bat gripped tight between calloused hands toward the next one.  a feral peel of laughter dances out from lips bleeding where a particularly nasty punch had been landed.  “ AN’ ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST !!! told ya’ not to play tag with me, CHUMP. ”

     it’s a SIGHT that pamela is used to seeing. it’s probably the fact that it’s not pamela’s usual style that’s got her STARING ( yeah, that’s it ). “ didn’t you use that song LAST TIME, harles ?? ”

“Ah, the cold winter air. How I missed it,” Jason spoke wryly as the frigid breeze prickled the uncovered parts of his skin. He took a sip of the warm coffee in his hand before he made a beeline towards the first person in his line of sight, hoping that they’d be helpful. “I’m looking for a thrift shop. Supposedly, there is one around here. Got any idea where it is?”

   pamela bites at her fingernails, tugging at her jacket. does she NEED it ?? this was for show for the petty humans. a gal like her didn’t need clothes to keep her warm. “ a GREENHOUSE could do the same. don’t know where any thrift shops are, but i do know where a few greenhouses are at. ”

     “ aceraceae, plantae, and toxicodendron radicans. a combination of those usually does the trick -- in one form or another. ”

Clark felt his face go slightly red at the comments. Rao, why did he have to be the one sent to deal with Ivy. Hal or Guy would’ve probably been a much wiser choice in the matter. “Well ok, let’s say I take your word for that, what about all the mysteriously overgrown vines popping up in Arkam city? Would you happpen to know anything about that?”

     the BLUSH on his cheeks perks the woman up, a slow grin growing on her face. boy, does making the batsy team uncomfortable lotsa fun !! harley would be proud. a chuckle leaves pamela’s lips, head tilting at him and eyebrows furrowing. she hasn’t been in arkam in awhile. her mood drops then, moving to open her laptop. “ i’ve been here, in new york. i’d ask you what kind of vines, but i’m assuming you don’t know. ” she shakes her head at the pictures, they’re UGLY AND HURT -- nothing that would come from her. “ not my style. ”

“Uh no?” Clark returned with a raised eyebrow and he floated down to where Ivy was. “I’d technically be more of Batman’s ‘boys’. You wouldn’t happen to know where he disappeared to would you?”

     “ well, you LOOK like her type -- i think it’s the eyes. ” pamela taps at the corner of her eyes, sighing at the mention of the bat. the redhead scoffs, shaking her head. “ who wants to identify as THAT ?? either way, no, pretty boy. at the moment, i don’t know where batsy is. ”

Iris eyed the woman carefully. “You’re right. Us girls have to,” She said before turning to the guy out cold on the floor. “I should call the cops. They’re gonna want to know what happened here,”

      pamela’s head tilts to look at the body, long hair falling to FRAME her face, and a beginning of a grin growing along her lips. “ or you can ... NOT. ----- what’d he do ?? sometimes cops, especially the male ones, are far too KIND to criminals. ”

 ‘ ah ! ‘  head ducked down, bangs fell down in front of dark eyes as she tried to dodge away. staff held in front of her body, as if trying to disappear. it’s not usual a spell goes this wrong ; she was just trying to get home, but she had been lost in this park ?? forest ?? for the past hour. ‘ well … that’s debatable on your definition of okay.’ a pause, dark eyes now glancing up – light reflecting from dark iris like the stars covering them. ‘ this forest – you couldn’t help expand on that, could you ?? ‘ 

      a look of amusement appears on pamela’s face, a small chuckle coming from her as she tucks a strand of her own hair behind her ears. “ why don’t we start with your definition of ‘ okay ’, then. ” pamela leans up against one of her trees, looking up at it before green eyes lay back on the other girl. “ well, there’s a lot of black ash, hawthorne, SUGAR MAPLE, and hickory in this particular forest. and for every beech tree, you’ll find a shrub that’s a nice purple. here’s a tip: don’t touch that. --- how’s that for EXPANDING ?? ”
