The US is openly punishing Brazil for the crime of upholding our democracy. In front of the whole world to see.

Read this and never forget Brazil is not the first and it will not be the last. Remember the Monroe Doctrine and Operation Condor. This is just an overt display of imperialist interference in Latin America's internal politics. But they've been at it for over a century.

I’m so sad that the Liam’s Law petition is just going to end up going absolutely nowhere. It’s a testament to the fragmentation and degradation of this fandom. It’s heartbreaking and another example of why I have been so disillusioned and disappointed by this entire fandom. We couldn’t even come together in the face of tragedy. When we lost one of the boys. We lost him. He’s gone. Actually gone. And people don’t care enough to sign a petition that could lead to the protection of artists. A petition named after Liam. It would’ve been such a wonderful way to solidify his legacy. But our fandom can’t show enough empathy or real care to come together for that. It is devastating. And it is super sad. The petition sits at 2,800 signatures. Way short of its minimum requirement of 10,000 by August 2025. So it’ll simply be dismissed. Left in the past along with our Liam. And I will never forget that.

one direction songs really used to be like. many people have told me that my love for you is wrong and shameful but i don't care. i've been told that im too young to know about love and my attraction to you is just a phase but they are wrong. i wish i could show everyone in this world how much i love you and publicly proclaim my love for you but bc of certain circumstances which are outside of our control we have no option but to hide our relationship from public eyes and love each other behind closed doors. alot of people think that my love for you is a form of sickness which needs to be cured by consulting with a priest or therapist but i dont think there's anything wrong with me at all. i just want to tell the world that we're in love or run away with you to somewhere where i can freely love you. there are many hardships and problems in the way of our love but we're going to overcome them all together and prove those who questioned our love because i truly really love you.... girl :)

 thinkin about how niall once talked about how cool it was that a lot of the fans grew up with them and then how in best song ever when they say “i hope you remember how we danced” like…yeah . of course i’ll remember . i grew up with you guys . you were my best friends .

Before the actual anniversary starts I just have to sort of get something off my chest so to speak.

I have said, and I will maintain- that Liam was the heart and soul of One Direction. I don’t believe that the 1D I knew and loved with my whole heart still exists. It is gone. And that is… hard. And sad. As we celebrate and remember the 15 year anniversary of the formation of our favorite band of thieves, our celebration is deeply steeped in grief. And I think it’s important to make space for that.

We have lost people on this journey of course. Fans, families, and now a band member. Each one devastating in its own right- but the loss of one of the five looms over this anniversary, these memories, this home we’ve found.

So. I will make time for my grief, but not my defeat. I wholeheartedly believe that Liam would want us to come together, to remember what was, to drink in the nostalgia, to celebrate the boys and their legacies, and most importantly to celebrate and love on each other, and this community we’ve built together.

It was Liam who said how much it meant to him that we found each other through the band. It was Liam who so often checked in on us, who connected with us, who championed the band and their legacy, who promoted fan art and fandom connections and inside fandom jokes. And so it is in Liam’s spirit and in Liam’s memory we commemorate this moment.

So here’s to 15 Years, One Direction. And here’s to Liam Payne. Thank you, for everything. We love you. 💜
