but basically Bloodstone finds Ametrine on a deserted planet and she had no recollection on who she is. (Yes the shadow is permanent)

Personality: She's very confusing to Bloodstone as she's very passive on a lot of things including caring about killing off the resistance. She's also very defensive so combine that with her violent tendencies she's like Carl from Llama's with Hats. She's also very manipulative and can easily get what she wants out of other beings. Ametrine is also very good at remembering things (if she were human she'd be a gambler I'm telling you).

Anyway the "twist" on who she used to be was that Yellow Diamond created her gems to torture information out of the resistance. Which is why she has 4 diamonds on her shawl, basically she's very important. Blue thought that was too in poor taste so instead Yellow ordered for there destruction. This Ametrine somehow survived but because Bloodstone sent a message back to Yellow about discovering Ametrine (without knowing who she was). Yellow decides to outlaw Bloodstone with Ametrine. Sending out other gems in order to shatter the both of them. That's basically their story.

Fun fact: If Ametrine were human she'd be around 26-29 and I took some inspiration with 60s hairstyles and clothing. Her skirt can also be removed to show a bodysuit underneath, good for close combat. Ametrine also hides her claws using those gloves

Right so I need to post more on here so heres a redesign of my gem oc's. Here's part 1 of 3.

Rewrite on what's on the paper:

These Bloodstones were created by Yellow Diamond as a gift for blue. Their purpose was to find those apart of the resistance. They also have a hierarchy and this gem in particular is one of 3 captains.

1 diamond means they simple organize files and collect evidence

2 diamonds means they're basically cops

3 diamonds means they're captains, there used to be a lot more but most were killed by the resistance.

Personality: She's very loyal to her job but when she was a newer gem she was quite the flirt but because of the uprise of her coworkers dying she had to become serious. She loves her diamonds and is trusted with giving any updates on what new evidence they have on Rose Quartz.

Her story begins when she finds a random gem on a abandoned planet. Once she regenerates Bloodstone begins to wonder as firstly the gem doesn't remember anything and secondly she has four diamonds on her shawl.

Detective BLU Spy

The Detective BLU Spy is a self-proclaimed lawman with dramatic tendencies and a messy history. Once a cop fired for exposing corruption, he took a detour through the Mafia before landing at Mann Co. for protection, where law is merely but a suggestion. One respawn mishap later and here he is today with the same 20's attitude, He’s big on the law—his own version, anyway—and will lecture you for jaywalking while he picks locks or bugs his own base. Known for his along with his gravelly monologues (usually to himself), he’s as sharp as he is insufferable.

His voice was damaged by his meddles in the mafia, so now he relies on a tape recorder of sorts to communicate. Not only is it used as a prosthetic, but also as a convenient tool in his disguises for work.

P.S. He doesn't use a knife, just a little bomb implanter in his sleeve bc he's extra like that ❤️

Nicole Whitman is a 26 year old who used to reside in Georgia, after some strange events including living in an underground bunker and Ms Pauling using her recently inherited land to bury bodies she now becomes a 10th class member to the RED team (only reason why is because the mercenaries needed the help as they were on a losing streak beforehand)

I'll be going into more depth into her characterization soon enough but right now she's someone who's basically John Kramer, making saw traps and basically leaving nail bombs and trip wires wherever she can find scrap metal around.

You're so right on this, I've been thinking about him for months and basically came to the same conclusion as you have. Just him whether or not he knows it buys expensive items to give his life some worth over trying to make an identity for himself. He doesn't want people to know who he is but wants people to read him as "rich" and "wealthy" just by his suit.

Character analysis (or at least my vision on him, if you believe my reasoning)

What do we know about Spy? He's a disguise mastermind. He can pretend to be anyone in order to infiltrate into the scene and do his job - quite literally, stab people on the back. But when he's not in the battle, what is he to his teammates? A suave Frenchman, a gentleman with taste, somewhat a leader.

At least, that's the persona he prefers to show. But is he really..?

What if I tell you that this person never drops his disguise?

For a man who always wears a mask and who's identity being secret is a sacred part of his role in this job, isn't this persona too much to show if it is real? Frenchman, rich, ladykiller... Wouldn't it be too easy to decipher his identity with so much clues provided? Wouldn't it be dangerous?

While Miss Pauling and the Administrator definitely know Spy's real identity, hiding it is a major thing for whatever reason. One could assume it might be because of Scout (obvious guess) but I doubt he's a sole reason. Spy very much enjoys being the Spy all by himself. Do what's the deal?

Let's start from the beginning.

Why has Spy joined Mann Co. in the first place?

Let's take this assumption as a fact: people come here out of desperation. They are professionals in their field, yet in their past/casual life there is a pattern of them having difficulties that push them into joining this service. I don't see why Spy would be an exception.

The reason for joining is usually money. Some people question why Spy, a wealthy man from higher society, would join Mann Co. if he has it all already.

Well, probably because he really does not.

Have you ever met an aristocrat? Wealthy people don't get so protective about their expensive suits, they can afford cleaning or a new one. Regardless, rich people don't usually get stingy about material goods, especially if they're mass produced.

At least, not those who were born into wealth.

Spy's defensiveness about his "wealthy stuff", his pomp-ness, disgust and arrogance towards "plebs" gives off a man who knows what it means to live in poverty and who doesn't want to be associated with it ever again.

(Not even talking about his own filthy habits such as not washing his mask and pissing on walls? Jesus Christ)

Dare I even guess that he's not even French at all? His French is so broken. (Although, so is Medic's German, but at least he uses his language much more frequently and in more complex sentences, while Spy only uses French to say some basic expressions, occasionally confusing them with other languages). Definitely not a native.

If anything, he's not giving "rich man" at all, he's giving con man. And that first my picture perfectly.

So, poor upbringing. How old is Spy? If he's Scout's father (and he was young when he was conceived), I'd say he's no less than 20 years older than him. I'd give him a few more years actually. So, approximately Spy is around 50 at the events of the game (1968-1972). Let's assume he was born somewhere in the 1910s.

Even if he's not French, I still agree that he's probably European. Hmm, what was happening in Europe at the time Spy was a kid?

Oh yeah. The Great Depression.

See my picture: imagine, a child from a lower class family during the Great Depression, his parents were most likely to not take good care about him (both because of the economical situation AND as an echo to Spy's struggles with his own fatherhood). He has to run away from home early and start to make money. Any way possible.

Unavoidably, it leads to crime.

Petty theft, blackmail, scams. Changing identities. Selling low quality products and services. Changing identities again. When older, seducing rich women to stay at their homes overnight, be fed and supported. Running away from the police. Walking into a trap of the mafia, and then joining them as their goon.

In this nightmare of a life he just had to keep pretending to be someone else, someone better and stronger, in order to his ego to not completely shutter. He had to imagine he was an invincible mastermind trickster of some sort, not just a poor boo-hoo victim of poverty who has never knew normal life and care.

And if you pretend for long enough, you become your role eventually... Right?

His true self was long lost forgotten under many layers of new identities. Worse, his true self was never known. And he didn't want it to be known in its ugly abd disgusting vulnerability. Narcissism became his lifeline.

It's so much better to be Spy. To be rich and elegant and respected. His ego rebuilt.
