this next post is deep. so, sorry for that in advance. trigger warning? mommy and daddy issues. angry father. it's late at night and my brain won't shut down, so i decided to let the words flow, and this is what i got:

if i could go back in time and stop my mother from meeting my father, i would. i would sit down with her. have a conversation. tell her there are better things in the world than a man who uses his words like weapons, his anger like armor.

i often think about how different my mom's life could've been. had she never married him so young. had she never settled. i wouldn't be here today. but, i think, i would be okay with that. if it meant that she could have lived her life, gone to college, traveled the world, fell in love with herself, and never, ever given a man not worth her peace the time of day.

she tells me that my brother and i are the best things to happen to her. she wouldn't change a thing if it meant having us each and every time.

but, i wonder the kind of woman she could have blossomed into if my dad had never got the chance to chip her away piece by piece.

and, that's the person i think she deserved to live as.

RANT INCOMING:

the video going around on social media of the enhypen bodyguard hitting the girl with rolled up papers is actually so funny to me. i definitely yelled "yeah, man! get her ass."

why? because if you fuck around, plan to find out. and that's on period.

groups need more bodyguards like him to deal with the people in the world who constantly push boundaries and blur the parasocial lines. you know, the fucking weirdos? like, get a job. or a hobby? stop following these idols around thinking they'll fall in love with you. stop thinking you'll have your y/n moment as you shove your phone in their face or as you pretend to be a staff member of their company. why bombard them? seriously, what is the point? like the video i saw a few months back of enhypen (who had just got off a plane, i think?) walking through the airport with a HORDE of people following them. they were pushing and shoving so hard that they broke a fucking door. to note as well--i believe this took place around 2 in the morning. why the hell are you in the airport trying to catch a glimpse an idol THAT LATE IN THE NIGHT/EARLY IN THE MORNING? let's circle back to "get a job"? do you not have one? hello?? it's giving your unemployed, bitchless and CRAZY.

there's a better time, and place, where you could RESPECTFULLY approach an idol and say hi, tell them you like their music or what have you (without being weird). but crowding them in an airport (or anywhere for that matter)? you can catch these fists fr!

they deserve rest and privacy just like the rest of us because at the end of the day, they're humans, too. just like you and i. except they have voices of angels and a massive following to boot lol.

just because they're famous and share snippets of their lives with the fans (because they truly, really don't have to. keep that in mind!), doesn't mean ANYONE is entitled to know more or see more than what the indiviual is comfortable telling/showing. that is a fact i can't understand other people not wrapping their head around. what, genuinely, is going on in your brain for you to think that this is okay to do?

anyway, thank you for coming to my TEDTalk. in short, i am so unbelievably tired of seeing these videos of saesaengs doing fuckshit with no repercussions.

my zelda phase is coming back. i feel it in my nuggets.

for context, i was scrolling through instagram when i stumbled upon a zodiac post (crazy comparison, i know). the picture for aries included horses running in a meadow with mountains in the back. and, for some reason, the vibes reminded me of the intro in twilight princess (cue the opening music and nostalgia) now i'm itching to pull out the wii and play through the game again.

i think that i could, theoretically, write a 50+ page thesis on squid game season three. it threw me through a loop several times. i need to scrub my memory clean and watch the entire series for the first time again. from start to finish, no breaks.

wednesday's daily thought: what kind of crack did they inject into bad desire (with or without you)? because i walk down the hallway singing "innocent girl, dont wanna take your golden light" for at least 8 of the 8 hours that i'm clocked in. another thing to mention, niki's part at the end where he's using that deep voice of his saying "tell me all your deepest--" followed up by heeseung's "all your bad desires" stays in my head. both lyrics live like neighbors up in the ol' cranium.

tuesday's daily thought: what in the world was that Spotify quiz? "i want you both" & "now be good" hello?? why were the vibes ao3 smut in what i thought would be a cutesy little quiz (i should have used context clues and critical thinking once that Spotify logo turned bright red).

i did get a good laugh out of it though, so there's that.
