Black Lives Matter, but with cops still on the streets in full force they’re treated like they don't. Police should be defunded at the bare minimum, and eventually abolished. Why have they been given power over others? How did ten weeks of training make them so entitled to power? It takes years to achieve a degree to practice law, so why does it take significantly less to enforce it? Their costumes and badges should not give them a pass to murder innocent people, a just nation would not tolerate that.

Today marks one year since Breonna Taylor was killed by the police for the crime of sleeping in her own home while being Black in the US. This country needs to take a hard look at itself and stop treating human beings as criminals for being Black or Brown and existing. Say her name. Don't let them forget it.

The struggle against oppression has been an omnipresent part of American society since before its inception, from the many generations of Black and Women’s Rights struggles in their various steps to labor disputes for the benefit of all. A point where many of these meet was the Underground Railroad Conductor Harriet Tubman, who spent many of the post-war years as a civil advocate and suffragette. From birth, Tubman was condemned to a life of slavery and subordination - but she rejected it, and when she became free, she swore to a life of helping others make the same journey she had, to a better life in the free states of the North. Despite the journeys and the war, she and other Women of Color - in fact, women at large - were still far from truly free, and she spent the rest of her life advocating on behalf of equality for all, black or white, woman or man, including equality through suffrage. Let us honor Harriet Tubman today and remember her accomplishments.

It's strange to us that after a month of working on this as a party, only NOW that the campaign has got the attention of anti-union activists who are trying to smear us, are so many of you expressing regret.
This is literally what we wanted and what we expected. Their efforts to defame and de-legitimize our efforts now are exactly in line with the same rhetoric that got the Taft-Hartley Act passed in the first place.
Boycotting businesses to show opposition to appalling working conditions is as old as the labor movement, and has a long history of successfully assisting in union efforts. So successful that the Taft-Hartley act made such efforts organized by the unionizing workers illegal and cited the tactic as "coercive".
Only the United States and the United Kingdom, the forefathers of Global Capitalism, have such laws on the books. Other countries where labor is more empowered have not followed suit, as their labor organizations recognize the power of the boycott.
Attempting to disrupt or "critique" this effort are in the service of Amazon. This is not to say all who express this view are plants or rats. But it is to say that calling this effort anti-union or anti-labor is false on the face of it.
Especially in light of the fact that a successful union drive provides benefits to non-union employees as well. Here's the Economic Policy Institute's take on the matter.
RWDSU could not have participated with us or consulted with us. Could not have organized with us. Cannot express knowledge or control of our activities. But they have also not condemned us. And seasoned labor activists in contact with Party Leadership have confirmed that this kind of rhetoric being tossed around is absolutely a good sign.
Stay the course. Boycott Amazon.

The LUP, organizers of this week's boycott, would like to publicly confirm we have had no contact with RWDSU. Our objections to Amazon's abysmal labor practices are our own. We welcome their disavowal of our activities and fully intend to continue spreading the word through the end of the week.

It's day 37 of the Biden administration and we were promised $2,000 checks for the American people "immediately" in a blatant attempt to purchase people's votes. People are starving, people are freezing, people are dying, and our president can change that but chooses not to, in typical neoliberal fashion. Instead of holding up his end of the promise he chooses to ignore all questions regarding that topic. Did we expect any better, honestly? In his own words, nothing will fundamentally change.
"Their election will put an end to the block in Washington on that $2,000 stimulus check – that money will go out the door immediately to help people who are in real trouble." -Joe Biden

Boycotting Amazon includes more than avoiding their main company. Amazon has its fingers in many pies, so take a good look at where you should avoid buying from March 7th-13th in order to hold up collective fist and #punchup.
Instead, choose to fund your communities during that time by looking up independent sellers who have their online stores linked to amazon for direct purchase. Buy from local, small businesses. Stop lining the pockets of the elite.

Trayvon Martin would have been 26 today. Never forget how they did him dirty and tried to paint him as a thug. He did not deserve that. Rest in Power with the angels.

An important reminder: We have a lot of things to show you about leftist political thought and the hidden power of the working class. But if you're racist, misogynist, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic or ableist, all we're going to show you is the door. 🥰

When a company would rather pay everyone $2000 to find work somewhere else than negotiate with a union, you know they're scared. The people have always held the real power. Let’s show them that power.

Solidarity with the Amazon employees who are fighting an uphill battle to unionize. Help focus the punch upward, so Amazon feels a targeted dip in their sales. There are more of us and we can hold the power if we so choose. Share this everywhere, and post the image in comment sections to spread the word!
