Educhums, I need you!

My new year at German upper secondary starts in about a month. I have the task to teach a course of English students for two years, some will take English into their final test, others would rather ditch English. Here's where you come in, Is there a teacher out there in the English writing world, who would like to find pen pals for their students? I hope to motivate my students to find their way to English as a "lingua franca"...

Soooooo 😁

This week was long and warm and fulfilled a long held wish. I got a contract! As a teacher! After seventeen months my headmaster gave me a chance to apply and on Tuesday the school took me. They say cause they need chemistry more than religion... After our summer break I'll no longer be a longterm substitute teacher, but a real one. 🤓 On Thursday all the younger students were sent home early because temperatures rose to 38°C outside and 30° indoors. Moments I enjoy summer... ☀️☄️🙃

Gino Bartali. He was an Italian cyclist and won the Tour de France in 1938. He openly opposed fascism by refusing to dedicate his win to Mussolini. And after the war began and the persecution of Jewish people spread across Europe, he smuggled documents in the frame of his bike to help the Jewish people escape. At the time, he didn’t know what he was transporting, that way, if he was caught, he wouldn’t be able to give any information away during interrogation.
