Meet Me
Hihi, I'm Ames!! The main thing you need to know about me is I'm deathly afraid of talking with people who share my special interests and as such tend to lurk rather than speak (hence why I've had this account open for like three years with no posts lmao.) That being said, my main interests are pop culture from the early '60s to mid '80s with a major interest in music and making art whenever I find the motivation! I am (unfortunately) also a big fan of AMC's The Walking Dead and the surrounding universe, something that started way back in 2013. If you ever need anything from me just hmu (:

AMC Gremlin marketing, 1970. Designed by Dick Teague, whose initial sketches were apparently done in-flight on an air sickness bag, the Gremlin was based on a shortened Hornet platform. As the brochure clearly shows it was sold as an American alternative to the VW Beetle, AMC promoting the Gremlin as “America’s first subcompact” (ignoring the Nash Metropolitan amongst others). The car’s cartoon-like mascot was designed to be memorable to consumers, 60% of buyers in 1970 were under the age of 35.
