My official unabridged review of vivaldi :)
I really don't know what to think of this, this happened not long ago and so on this special occasion I wanted to offer my official review of Vivaldi. It sucks, plain and simple.
It all started when I installed Vivaldi on my gaming rig, you know my main big desktop. I ran the installer and tweaked the settings so that it would install Vivaldi into Program Files. I am a fairly organized person these days, so I take what I install and how I install them seriously, and I didn't want it to be installed in appdata (the default directory for the installer) for reasons. You don't need to know the details, I'll just tell you this: shortcuts don't like when the directory they're pointing to is different for starters. Every browser I've ever used were always installed into Program Files: Firefox, Brave and even Google Chrome way before I realized how much it was spying on me (and was just slowing down my previous PC overall), and it was not gonna change with Vivaldi. Ok so far so good, once the installer finished Vivaldi just would not start, I tried to run it and every time it simply did not do anything at all. No error message, no window, no nothing…
So, I decided that if I couldn't have Vivaldi I would install Opera GX instead, you know the meme browser for GAYMERZ. The only reason I wanted to install Vivaldi was for the sidebar with the feed and Opera Gx also had one, but Opera GX is chinese spyware, but oh well I'm on spyware OS so sure why not? Firstly, I ran BCUninstaller to uninstall it just to make sure it catches everything on its way out (Spoiler alert: It didn't), afterward, just out of morbid curiosity and to be extra sure nothing remains, I re-installed Vivaldi, this time on its default directory under appdata and guess what happened? It worked! It was absolutely befuddling because I've shoved a plethora of random unzipped programs directly into Program Files, I even had a dedicated "Games" folder for random things I download off the internet at some point and they all worked, so I was not expecting that, even if it was a possibility in my mind. The other possibility was that somehow my desktop was not compatible with Vivaldi. Who knows? It could've been a driver problem.
Anyway, I nuked it again with bulk crap uninstaller and as it turns out there were leftovers in the registry, so when I right-clicked certain files like pdfs windows would prompt Vivaldi as an option to open the file. I have no clue if things would've been different if I had used Revo Uninstaller instead, but regardless I had to delete a bunch of the entries myself and initially I just looked up for help online, but even though I discovered that other people had the same issue most of them were either left unresolved entirely or were given incomplete answers.
I'm a power user and I am very familiar with the ins and outs of Windows, so it wasn't nearly as scary as it would've been to some random joe to actually put in the effort to fix this by myself. If you happen to have registry leftovers like that after removing some shitty app, these are all the directories on regedit where you should go to delete the remaining garbage data:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationAssociationToasts
Just make sure to find the matching mimetype and the right app on the list, you don't want to accidentally delete the png entry that tells windows its image viewer is compatible.
All right! Act one of this clown show is over, now time for act two!
One day later, I installed Opera GX, no complaints there, but since Opera GX wasn't on Linux because they are 2 G00D 4 IT 🙄 (maybe regular Opera would've had this feature, but now that's a done deal), I felt like I had no choice but to install Vivaldi if I wanted a dynamic feed. Some good news though, Vivaldi would actually install correctly onto the root directory (Linux's equivalent to Windows' program files) and boot, I didn't have to install it in the home directory (Linux's equivalent to appdata), so now I opened both Brave and Vivaldi with the intention of moving a couple bookmarks and apparently it doesn't fucking like doing it no matter where I dragged the bookmarks they didn't register on Vivaldi and that was odd I could move bookmarks freely between Firefox and Brave, then why doesn't this work on Vivaldi? Funnily enough, while it may not be forward compatible, it is backward compatible: literally any bookmark on it already could be moved back to Brave, but not vice-versa.
Other users complained on reddit and the forums, for a browser focused on productivity it sure likes to make you waste your time on something so trivial like moving and organizing bookmarks. You'd think being able to drag and drop bookmarks between browsers would be a given, but you're sorely mistaken!
Act two's now over, time for act three!
I was desperately looking up a solution for this issue because I didn't want to export and import over 200+ bookmarks, most of which was garbage that should've been erased a long time ago (I am not kidding on this part, these are some of the links I still have bookmarked on Brave https://lwthacking.blogspot.com/ https://prophecyinthemaking.blogspot.com/ http://www.sjgames.com/illuminati/50awful.html http://www.godhatesfurries.com/ (I'm sorry if you are a furry/dead link) http://www.yougonumbers.com/ (another dead link!) https://pixelterror.ru/gen.php (yet another dead link!) https://play.ethermon.io/ (you guessed it, another dead link!) http://totaljerkface.com/about.tjf (not dead, but never got to play it sadly) https://hooktube.com/ (Redirects now) I also have a whole bunch of twitter-related tools like blocktogether that probably don't work anymore).
An alternative solution I figured and was hoping would work was to export only the folders, but both Brave and Firefox don't let you export individual folders, it's an all-or-nothing deal, you export everything or you export nothing and must rebuild your bookmarks manually. Damn like honestly why isn't that a feature? You'd expect that to be a bog-standard basic feature on every browser! Well, while looking this up it turns out INTERNET "FUCKING" EXPLORER could export individual bookmark folders. I repeat, INTERNET "FUCKING" EXPLORER had a feature no other browser had. That didn't help my situation at all, but it was a funny tidbit nonetheless #internetexplorermasterrace #iemasterrace
Tumblr media
My reliable sources
Ultimately, my solution was to copy LITERALLY EVERY FUCKING BOOKMARK FROM THE FOLDER and open ALL OF THEM ON VIVALDI WITH AN ADDON! At the very least this stress, this pain, this frustration was finally over. Theatrics aside, I was glad I solved this issue even though it took so long.
Even dismissing everything mentioned above, the bookmarks area and the tabs are generally clunky to use. First off, apparently you're supposed to be able to modify the toolbars in the same manner you would edit them on firefox; couldn't figure that one out. Additionally, the bookmarks aren't snappy, they have a noticeable lag to them and they bug out when I move them around and to top it all the whole design of marking a folder as part of the bookmarks bar or homepage/fast dial is pretty sluggish, cumbersome and boring while with other browsers it's much quicker and more straightforward. Now, for my favorite part! Vivaldi's most advertised feature; the extremely annoying tab stacks feature seemingly either works or either doesn't work depending on how I move one tab onto another and to make matters worse the tabs tend (at least on linux) to shove themselves to the far right end of the list when I try to drag them in or out of the subsection of a tab stack especially if I move it out and then back in accidentally. It's hard to describe, but if you don't manage to stay perfectly steady and have it go out of the bounds on the top part of the window it's over, Vivaldi will not like it where I place it down and the tab will magically shoot to the rightmost spot, not always, but often enough to be a nuisance.
Side tangent, but Firefox badly implemented that feature, they decided to haphazardly copy vivaldi for who knows what and I had to disable it from about:config. I swear, they better add an option on the actual settings interface!
I am not being hyperbolic when I say this: I've never hated any piece of software that wasn't literally malware this much before this whole dumpster fire, I swear this browser's an early access alpha or beta it's so unbelievably awful. I had to spend the entire day troubleshooting different problems stemming entirely from Vivaldi, just thanks for ruining it!

I made this meme to commemorate the release of chapter 3 & 4 next week!
Kris isn't on the list because their actions are at the mercy of the player. Technically, that statement also holds true for Noelle, but because she directly gets instructed around by Kris IN-GAME I decided to include her. Meanwhile, it's hard to tell where to place Kris on the list given that they're either at the bottom of the list because they perform those actions themselves in spite of the player's choices or they're on the same tier as Noelle. Confusing and potentially controversial, so I skipped them.
The Jevil was also hard to place, but I decided to put him on the mid tier rather than the meh tier because, while he is chaotic, he is chaotic in a very "feral" sense like chapter 1 Susie. By comparison, Roulx Kaard is just incredibly kooky and weird. Basically, Roulx is only chaotic because he's almost insane.
Anyway, can we at least all agree Queen is the undisputed goat! ?

Today something crazy happened while I tried to fix a permission problem on Windows!
Preamble
My biggest gripe with my Linux machine is its rigidity. I guess it makes it harder to hack with its superior permissions system and leads to better security over all or what-ever, but today I did the unthinkable on Windows and it only happened because... I don't know, it's fucked I guess.
Windows' W, or wasting as little of my time by being incredibly faillible
So, to keep it simple, I have a backup of my Windows system on an external drive, all right? I tried to open it, but no matter what I was denied, I spent a few good hours online trying to troubleshoot the problem. People were complaining about permissions, which is the single jankiest thing on Windows, on VHD files, and I primarily found tutorials as well as forum posts on the ever so unhelpful Microsoft help desk forums about that, you follow me? So, I read most of it, figured that I had to mess with permissions on the mounted virtual drive to fix my problem. Unfortunately, when I tried to meddle with it I got another permission error, clicked on cancel and immediately after I got a popup dialog box telling me it is now in an unstable state or something, got very worried and so I tried to fix it by reverting my changes to the best of my knowledge of what it must've been like before, got another permission error, clicked off which has then deleted my user from the security tab and somehow that gave me full access to this entire thing that up until now wouldn't cooperate at all.
In conclusion:
If there's any problem on Windows I can just bang my head against my desk like a neanderthal until it solves itself, however that's not going to ever be an option on Linux. Is this a positive or negative?
Anyhow, checkmate Linux! I'm joking by the way, Linux is still far better than contemporary Windows for numerous reasons, but they are never going to celebrate a year of Linux if it stays this rigid and easy to wreck: for example, I once bricked an old install with apt-get update which has never happened since thankfully, but still if that happened to me and other people (Yes, I watched the Linux Tech Tips video), then it is going to put people off from ever trying it again. I even heard recently that system upgrades could brick the OS and for some reason it won't work on my system which I still haven't gotten around to fix yet, I'm kind of procrastinating/avoiding it right now because it's annoying. 😒

This post brought me back in time to a distant memory where British people nationwide were forced to mourn her Majesty's and soon the Switch 2 is going to be coming out.
Man am I still young, but I feel like I'm already getting so old! I'll be in my grave before Deltarune actually comes out. 😂

(WIP) Tutorial: How to save your Minecraft world on MCBE
This guide will give you every method to SAVE (literally as otherwise your worlds are DOOMED!) and backup your worlds.
Things to note: Uninstalling Minecraft WILL DELETE YOUR WORLDS PERMANENTLY and I am not exactly sure whether worlds stored externally are spared from this or not. If you lose your phone, your worlds ARE LOST PERMANENTLY. You cannot perform any proper backup nor transfer them to another device due to Microsoft's chicanery.
Step zero - Check if you are affected
First check: Are my worlds accessible on my filesystem? Doing this check can be achieved via two different ways. Using the storage approach (The simpler method): Open Minecraft, first of all click on play to see if your worlds are there, if they are go to settings and now go to "Storage". If the button right under "File Storage Location" reads "External" you are SAFE, if it reads "Application", then you will have to do the second check. Using the files approach (You can leave the game closed): Go to your files explorer, I know that's vague, but on my phone it was just named "Files", regardless of your device you should probably be able to find it, just don't go into the gallery app by accident. Find a folder called "com.mojang", "com.mojang.minecraft" or "com.mojang.minecraftpe", it's usually hidden deep into the filesystem. If you find that it's strangely empty, especially in the "minecraftworlds" subfolder, then your worlds are probably stored in the application.
Second check: Can I export my worlds? Some versions of the game have extra buttons under the duplicate/delete world buttons and one of these additional buttons should be "export world". I believe that on Windows 10/11 for example this button is present, whereas on Android smartphones and Chromebooks it is absent. Anyway, open Minecraft, click on Play and then click on the pencil icon, finally scroll down. If you find no export button then your worlds are either stuck on Minecraft or you may have to back them up manually (assuming that's even a possibility if you didn't do the first check above).
If both checks fail, your worlds are at risk of being lost, you can't back them up normally at all and you can't send them to a friend. If you've sunk hours of your life on an adventure map, well it's essentially down the drain since your world cannot be accessed at all. Thankfully, if there is a will, there is a way, that's why you clicked on this guide, right?
HOW TO SAVE AND BACK-UP YOUR WORLDS EVERY METHOD
Method uno: The "official" method - Prerequisites: A paid subscription or the 30 days trial For the sake of completeness I'm including it. If you haven't used your 30 days trial yet, now's a good time to transfer your worlds.
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4409165790605-How-to-Transfer-Your-World-to-Another-Device-in-Minecraft-Bedrock-EditionStart Minecraft on the device the world currently resides on Select Play Click the edit Realm icon In the Realms section at the top of your world list to enter the edit menu Select a world slot and press Edit World. Note: Backup your existing worlds or make sure to use an empty slot. See How to Find and Restore a Backup of a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Realm Select Upload World at the bottom of the Game Settings section Confirm you want to replace the world in the current slot and select the world you want transferred Now that your world is on the Realm, login to Minecraft on another device with your Microsoft account Go to the Game Settings menu that you were in before Scroll to the bottom and select Download World After the download and import is complete, the world will appear in your non-Realms world list as a copy of the Realm name. Press the pencil icon if you want to rename the uploaded world.
Important thing to note, Microsucks limits the size of your world to 4GB for this feature, if your world exceeds 4GB you can't upload a copy of it to Realms and you can't get it back from it either if you happen to exceed the threshold while playing with your friends. They are so cartoonishly evil it's unbelievable.

If you don't have the 30 days trial or don't wanna bother with this, keep reading!
Method dos: World Exporter by Tikolu - Prerequisites: An external Windows computer and MCBE must be installed on an Android device WARNING! Once the process completed I did get my worlds as expected, but all the cosmetics I equipped on my character mysteriously vanished. Note that it was free and, anyway, it came back after restarting the game, but if you have any paid item you might accidentally lose them, keep this in mind! Your resource packs and behavior packs are not saved however. So, you'll have to re-install them!
1: Go to this link: https://tikolu.net/world-exporter/
2: Download and unzip world exporter, it should just be a script.
3: Connect your phone to your computer, you probably have a usb adapter seeing as most phones came with one that acts as a charger.
4: Your phone will probably ask you to confirm how it connects to the computer, as in does the phone only charges from the port and nothing else, or can the computer edit files on the phone. I have no idea if it matters, but I selected the option to let the computer access everything on phone w/ read/write perms.
5: Follow the instructions provided by the script, I copy/pasted them here so you can get everything done ahead of time.
¦ USB Debugging needs to be enabled for this program to connect to your device. Follow these steps: ¦- ¦ 1. Go to your Android device settings. ¦ 2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on "System" and then "About Device". ¦ 3. Find "Build Number" and tap it a few times until you get a message saying "You are a developer". ¦ 4. Go out of "About Device" and back into "System". A new "Developer Options" menu should now be here. ¦ 5. Open it and scroll down to "USB DEBUGGING". Make sure that it is ENABLED. ¦ 6. Connect the device to your computer with a USB cable. ¦ 7. After connecting a popup will ask "Allow USB Debugging?". Tap on "Allow". ¦- ¦ If nothing happens after pressing "Allow", you may need to install drivers for your device. ¦ Drivers can be downloaded from: tikolu.net/world-exporter/download/drivers adb0 wait-for-device
6: Eventually, your phone will ask you for a password, leave the field blank and proceed. If you add a password the script won't like it. If for whatever reason Android requires a password to continue, you'll need to use a different script or use the next method on the list to have more control over the process.
7: Wait patiently.
If everything went right, you should find a new folder named "minecraftworlds" in the same directory as the script
Method tres: Manual backup with Android backup tools - Prerequisites: Any external OS that supports the tools listed below and MCBE must be installed on an Android device This is like the previous method, but is more involved on your part. So, if you own a Windows computer, use the second method instead and save yourself some time!
1: install the following programs:
The Java runtime or JDK if you're on Linux
Android Debug Bridge
Android Backup Extractor
Peazip, 7zip or an equivalent that supports tar files
2: Plug your phone into your computer via your charger, it is also a USB adapter.
3: Ensure your phone can be properly accessed by your computer, so follow the same instructions that the world exporter script gave you.
¦ Drivers can be downloaded from: tikolu.net/world-exporter/download/drivers adb0 wait-for-device Additionally, ensure that if the phone is connected to the computer it does not just "charge", if a window prompts you to pick between "charge phone only" and "edit files via computer", you pick the latter. I don't know if that matters, but better be completely sure it works than ending up wasting time because it does not.
4: You'll need to identify the Minecraft APK, it'll probably be named com.mojang.minecraft or com.mojang.minecraftpe on your phone. Use this command: adb shell pm list packages
5: Run the backup routine: "adb backup [options] " where [options] can have flags like -apk -shared -all or the name of the package, and where is a valid directory on your computer like "./backup.ab". This command should maybe work, "adb backup -f -apk com.mojang.minecraftpe" I intentionally omitted the directory bit, find an appropriate spot to save your backup and add it to the command.
6: Once it's done backing up, use Android Backup Extractor to extract the backup into a tar file. You may first need to build Android Backup Extractor from source. So, follow the instructions on their github page. If you added a password to encrypt the backup, you will probably need to re-enter it for Android Backup Extractor.
7: Unpack the resulting tar archive. This is by far the easiest step of this method.
Method quatro: Root (you knew it was coming) - Prerequisites: MCBE must be installed on an Android device and an external OS might be needed depending on the firmware WARNING! This can render your phone inoperable, i.e. brick it! Unfortunately, there is no way I can give you a step-by-step guide due to the differences between phones, but I won't leave you in the dark to let you figure how to do it on your own because when I first heard the term "rooting" I thought I could just install an app or run some command on my computer to root my phone. That's not how it works and you'll most likely wind up destroying your phone trying! If you wanna root your phone, knowing fully well the risks, always use the XDA forums as reference. They have a tutorial for every brand of phone and they are far more trustworthy than some random blog that's being run by a bot. Assuming your phone is rooted, your worlds should be somewhere under /data/.
I will add that every method listed above might be compatible with chromebooks as they partially run Android.
Method cinco: Jailbreak - Prerequisites: MCBE must be installed on an iPhone I'm not even sure where to start to be honest. What I said about Android rooting applies here too. Be careful out there and stay safe!
Method seis: Mobile Export by llama-studios - Prerequisites: A version of Minecraft BEFORE Preview 1.20.60.23 / 1.21.51 WARNING! Do not, under any circumstance, downgrade Minecraft to meet the prerequisite, you run the risk of getting a malware, or even worse, doing so could potentially overwrite your worlds. I have no idea how Android handles downgrades, so it is in your best interest to exclusively use this method if you didn't update the game in a very long time! -https://minecraft.wiki/w/World_Options#History-
1: Go to this link: https://llama-studios.github.io/mobile-export/
2: The website has a bright red textbox complaining about Minecraft and how a recent update caused the addon to no longer function correctly and they can't fix it because Mojang made resource packs incompatible with some new ui elements. Disregard, you use an older version of the game without this issue after all.
3: Find the download link, download the addon and once downloaded click on it. Make sure to open it with Minecraft and nothing else.
4: Minecraft should now be installing the addon, go to settings and Global resources. Find the newly-installed addon which should be named something akin to "Mobile Export" and enable it globally, preferably above your other resource packs just in case.
5: Now, go to each world settings by clicking on the pencil icon and you should find an export button, one-by-one export your worlds. It is tedious I know, but at least it works.
If you can't find the export button, you either have the wrong version of Minecraft installed, again your version must be BEFORE Preview 1.20.60.23 / 1.21.51, or another resource pack is messing with the ui elements. That's why I asked you to place that resource pack all the way to the top of the list.
If you also think that not having a basic way to save and preserve worlds is unacceptable, do me a favor and make your voice heard.
You can do your part here and upvote these threads on the Minecraft Feedback forum. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/19873582946445-Export-World-Button https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/26270620454797-Edit-World-no-export-button https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/22733618924813-World-Export https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/17069527120013-World-Export https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/4413686171405-In-game-world-export-option https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/25277094117261-Import-and-export-world https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360075644511--export-world-option-in-minecraft-bedrock-edition https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/25698489411341-Export-import-worlds-on-Minecraft-Bedrock
Oh and also I uncovered this help article, it would be a shame if Microsoft employees had to dredge through tons of reports because the documentation doesn't exactly work as intended, wouldn't it? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/minecraft/creator/documents/createaworldtemplate?view=minecraft-bedrock-stable
I scrolled all the way down and under feedback right next to "Was this page helpful?" I hit "No", I selected "Procedure/Code doesn't work" and "Obsolete/Outdated" then commented something along those lines: "Hello, I tried to follow this guide however I couldn't find the export button shown in the screenshots. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find the option anywhere on my device. Can you please update the guide? That would be nifty, thanks."
Bonus style points for the sass, I wonder if anyone can ever top it.

Sharing a based take from Bluesky
Tumblr media
If I ever make a Bluesky account (unlikely due to the daily dogpilings sitewide similar to those from Tumblr back in 2009-2018.), "The Bitter Jesus" will be the first account I follow, I swear.
Though, I can't recommend him to all my followers, but I wanted to show him some support and I'd like to see more lgbt allies dunking on these ideological, belligerent and puritanical sycophants for a change.

(Concord, Dustborn, etc) - Do gamers really hate inclusivity?
So, do they? Red Dead Redemption 2 has the most diverse cast of supporting characters and it sold 65 millions copies. It has: women, a bri'ish, an indian, an african american, a mexican, an overweight man, a perpetually drunk guy, a disabled old man and many more. Despite this, nobody cared, the right wing didn't care, gamers didn't care. So, what gives?
You hear it all of the time from news sites like Kotaku and Polygon, but like constantly. "Gamers are racist", "gamers are sexist", that sort of thing. I'm sure it's true to some extent and there are gamers who are assholes, but to be honest I do not think the problem lies in the entire gaming community.
I think the simple answer to the issue is threefold, and I'm going to get to it further down, but to keep it simple: Red Dead Redemption 2 is well-written with memorable characters and memorable moments, meanwhile games made by annoying hippy neolibshits are infuriating and have some of the least likable characters ever created.
I know some of you will say and I hear you guys, gals and others in the back plain as day "You like red dead remdeption 2 only because you play as Arthur Morgan, a cis white ma-[…]", no. If you had replaced Arthur Morgan by a black woman, it wouldn't have made a difference to me. In fact, I found Arthur Morgan to be one of the weaker characters in the game. His personality is bewilderingly boring; he is such a do-gooder and portrayed as a hero as long as his honor is in the yellow while he simultaneously is a bandit who CANONICALLY(try a pacifist run on every mission, you can't) kills people which mildly infuriates me when the game constantly tries to paint him as this kind-hearted soul who would never hurt a fly. In the context of the story itself, he isn't that much better - he is so passive and never makes any real move on his own accord other than what the player directly instructs him to, and that one time he threw the accountant out of the camp. However, it's probably for the best he's a straight cis white male plus billions of other "part of the majority" labels because if he wasn't, nobody would put the fault on him as a character, but rather on what he represents. People have been conditioned to perceive poorly written characters that are black/transgender/lesbian/disabled/vitiligo to be tokenism OR wokeism OR rainbow capitalism OR forced diversity OR tumblrism OR slacktivism, and again it's all caused by political activists like the clowns who developed Dustborn since they wanted to make a sociopolitical commentary, but failing to do so in an appropriate manner. You must live happily knowing your anti-racist activism is achieving the exact opposite and doing a disservice to all of humankind.
Not to mention there are many popular games and shows that features underrepresented groups of people as protagonists like Tomb Raider, the Boondocks, GTA SA, GTA 5 or even most indie games - Crosscode, Celeste and Crypt of the Necrodancer are great! Go check them out! None of them receive the same level of bad publicity as Ghostbusters, Captain Marvel, and now, Dustborn.
For the sake of argument; let's say you want to make a game, a movie or a book that is inclusive and diverse. How do you do it right?
Simple, you keep these three aspects in mind and you do everything in your power to not reproduce them:
Writing & voice acting
When a piece of media doesn't become polarized due to being malignantly progressive and cavalier in its delivery, you usually get complaints of "millenial writing". It's a neologism and a pejorative term referring to poor writing and storytelling from inexperienced people who still talk like they are 14. There are two non-political games that come to mind with this sort of garbage. Viewfinder, most infamously known for that one clip of the most popular twitch streamer in the world speedrunning "muting voice acting any%", and Forspoken. Meanwhile, if it is indeed intentional for the sake of the story or political narrative, you get Dustborn where the protagonist is even more entitled than Karen when she's demanding to talk to the manager. Her way of talking is truly adolescent, infantile even - I can almost predict what she's going to say next. Aside from that; when she asks for something, she always wants it and won't have it any other way. There's that scene where she wants to enter a night club or a bar, I couldn't be bothered to remember what it was exactly, and she begs the guard to let her in, even going as far as to use her superpowers on him. Don't tell me that's how a real person acts.
youtube
Character design
I often notice in "woke" media how strangely the characters are designed. Apart from immutable characteristics like their ethnicity or gender, their designs usually fall into "tumblresque" clichés: For instance, they tend to have a mohawk haircut with excessive hair coloring if they have not been shaved bald, and with that a flashy outfit. They always seem to use the "punk" aesthetic in some ways, probably because they want the cast to be misfits or anticonformists of sorts, even when it is an eyesore. An even bigger eyesore if you put hair coloring, colorful bandaids and piercings on a black or vitiligo character, the contrast is simply too heavy from light colors to dark colors. Yet, they never seem to notice it, and usually wind up surprised that everybody thinks the character is an eyesore to look at. The entire cast in Dustborn wears some form of neon yellow which looks fine on some characters, but on others, dear heavens, they look awful. It is particularly bad on characters like Theo and Noam who have a muted color palette. Borderlands, Concord R.I.P and Redfall have the same issue, flashy clothes and quirky haircuts for everyone!
The message & commentary
Last, but not least, they always fail to be subtle. Every single one of them loves to tell you what to think and how to think. This is the typical mindset of these people, be loud, be heard and if you don't listen, be shunned. The worst part is they genuinely believe this is making a substantial change in this forsaken world. Tangent aside, this usually manifests in their movies, video games and books in the form of a lack of the aforementioned subtlety. They have no self-awareness and can't think outside their bubble either, so they won't ever look back on anything they've added that might be offensive or obviously propaganda to certain people and ask themselves whether they should rewrite the script to better accommodate their audience. For example, if there is a gay character, he must remind the audience that he is gay repeatedly. This is not only reinforcing stereotypes of gay people being flamboyant, but it actively contributes to homophobic sentiment. Name me any movie, game or book that has a straight male character saying "hey guys I'm straight, look at me!", having him kiss a woman every other scene or making him carry around this subversive abomination of super-straight flag either on his belongings or as a pin. The straightest character I can think of off the top of my head is Mario who gets a kiss on the cheeks at the end of some games, or Homer Simpsons who is married to a woman and has had 3 kids with her. How often does that happen with gay people in media? I'm tempted to say "never". Either the character is a literal stereotype of gay people or they aren't gay at all! That being said; here's an example directly from Dustborn: In the latter half of the game, you fight conspiracy theorists (I think? I can't be bothered to check again) and the game makes sure to remind you how terrible these people are as you beat them up. Here's how Postal 2 and Goat Simulator handled it, they have a bunch of people protesting, and the game just mocks them with how stupid the thing they are protesting is, that is it. Parody is funny, thought-provoking and can change someone's mind. You can choose to beat them up, but it's by no means necessary to progress the story and the games don't tell you how to think.
Tumblr media
The only time there's anything in Red Dead Redemption 2 that ever comes close to following any of the principles above is Arthur's willingness to help indians (given that he is, you know, an outlaw who is supposed to be getting the hot cash to travel to Tahiti) and the frequency for which they are depicted positively in the game, and Micah Bell for the sociopath that he is, but firstly he is the antagonist and secondly I find his dialogue rather witty compared to Karen Dustborn. As for RDR2 and the indians, that actually made someone on YouTube so mad they made an exposé on it and claimed it was "woke revisionism". The sigma male that shall not be named complained about other aspects of the game like the feminist in Saint Denis, but really he was primarily bothered by the so-called revisionism.
All in all, what this proves is that gamers don't hate inclusivity and diversity, they hate your shitty politics and your half-assed attempt at turning them into moral puritans.
If you're gonna push propaganda into our games, have the common decency to learn storytelling, character development and character design. It is really all it takes! I bet any idiots could make a game with every single theme present in dustborn and it would, at minimum, outsell it by 4 times the amount it got on steam if they do everything right.
P.S: It took so long to string my thoughts together on this topic that Dustborn is old news and the Minecraft movie dropped its trailer long ago. Time to crack open this one I guess. I got for you several other great examples of bad character designs directly from the trailer, and, to clarify; this movie isn't "woke". I just wanted to point that out since the whole post was lambasting cult-ish progressives who are unable to understand how to read the room and improve on their craft, but in that movie's case I'm just using it as yet another example to make my point clear that everything I've said thus far is important. As a plus, it seems completely apolitical. Anyway… Let's start this list with "Garrett Garrison", who is played by Jason Momoa. He looks absolutely insane and unhinged. He looks fuckugly awful.
Tumblr media
Do I actually put the effort to explain what's wrong or do I let everybody figure it out? Ok what-ever, I'll do the homework just in case someone reading is too far lost to see the wrong when it's so blatantly staring at them. Starting off with the clothes, he wears a puffer jacket like those goku drip memes, as a grown ass man with facial hair no less. The cherry on top of the shit cake would be if he'd introduce himself with "how do you do fellow kids" when the movie comes out. The color pink doesn't compliment him at all, and for the record I like the color purple and I don't mind what color you like, if you're a boy and like pink you're perfectly fine. What I'm getting at here is that this color looks ass on him and I think if he wore red or blue it'd still look ass. The best color for him would be either yellow, black or white to go with the shirt. Speaking of the shirt, it looks like the type of shirt a 8 years old would wear. On top of all that, he has a very manly beard and really long blonde hair together which simply doesn't work. Thus the character looks like something a transphobe would design. When the trailer came out I honestly thought he was the token transgender character. Fortunately, the minecraft wiki reminded me that he is, in fact, a cis man by using the he/him pronouns. The moviemakers are so out of touch with reality that they accidentally made the most repulsive and offensive character in the past 10 years. The next character I wanna bring up is Dawn played by Danielle Brooks. Her look isn't nearly as "amusing" as the garbage man, but she still looks like someone's original character with that strange garment on her jacket and around her neck. The jacket itself is flashy and tacky, and is gonna break some fashion conventions if worn in the upcoming 100 years. Then, there is Steve who is just Jack Black with a blue shirt. What else can I add? Seriously, he looks so boring, the polar opposite of the other characters in the worst way possible. On a sidenote, am I going insane or is nobody talking about the fact that Jack Black was specifically chosen for the role? Do I need to remind people he has a darker skin tone than Jack Black? I normally wouldn't bring this up, however the fact that every other day the white neolibs, progressives and the blm community at large lose their collective shit whenever a black character is drawn one shade too bright, while right there you have the most blatant example of whitewashing I've ever seen, and all I'm hearing are crickets is astounding. Guess it's simply easier to harass an artist into submission than the multibillion dollar corporation, isn't that right? Finally, there are those two kids, I think they look the least out of place in the whole trailer, but one of them (the one with the vaporwave sun on the shirt) is wearing a grandma gown which is weird, it's like the trash man wearing a child's t-shirt.
Again, it bears repeating, but this movie is proof that good characters, good writing and enough subtlety go a long way to engage the viewer. You could make a video game, film or novel about climate change and I can guarantee you that if it doesn't go "stop eating meat chud, stop driving cars dipshit and stop doing crypto cretin" (or even visually implying it if not spoken out loud) every chance it gets it'll probably have more of an impact on the viewer/reader/player. At the very least, If you're going to shove propaganda into our media for "the greater good", do it right. Quit further polarizing everyone on everything; all this is doing is contributing to racism, sexism, -phobias, and distrust, including that of science, i.e. climate change, vaccination, etc. - all the things you were supposed to fight against!
I doubt making this post will change anything, and these activists will continue to do what they do best: ruining art and media with their shoehorned political diatribe, but hey, at least I can tell myself that I tried.

Welp, my nihilistic self was right about 2020.
On another post earlier last month, I said “2020 is gonna be the worst year for humanity“ or something along those lines, it appears I was right albeit for the wrong reasons. As a reminder, I said that due to the general hostility in the US following the first election of Trump. There was gonna be a civil war caused by Trump either losing or winning the next elections which is not helped by the fact people like Tim Pool keep reminding his supporters of that possible outcome.
So only 2 days into 2020 and we have Trump starting a war with Iran and for the record I rooted for him in 2016 and I’m not ashamed of it because he was the lesser of two evils. Hillary Clinton was gonna start a war against Russia after all, but not only Trump has shown time and time again that he was perfectly incompetent in everything, except taking care of the US economy, but he almost started a war in 2017 against Russia and North Korea and now it is the same thing, but with Iran. I hope that it is another “almost a war” and not a literal war. At this point, the most powerful country in the world better get a new leader even considering the current social climate.
Additionally, we have Australia ablaze with thousands of animals and people dying and Indonesia flooded with also thousands of animals and people dying. Yeah what a great start!
There was this tweet from a tankie on Twitter that sums it up quite nicely.
Tumblr media
Yeah, from the name alone, you know this guy must not be very fun at parties, however I do agree with what he said there. The world is turning upside-down and we are all by ourselves in this mess.
There was this tweet too that made me quite anxious after reading it.
Tumblr media
If it is not a coincidence, then I don’t know what it is.
Another thing that happened after 2020 started, but to be fair that one is more of a mosquito bite than anything really worrisome: James Charles said the N-word. Honestly though, I’m not upset by this. Firstly, James Charles was singing to a song that had the word in it, so yeah. And for the record, if an African or an Asian start singing to a song that has the H-word (The most offensive word to Caucasians) I would not be offended by it since that is not on them for saying it, but it is more so on the singer and they do not say directly to me with the intent to hurt me. As a matter of fact, I may be speaking for myself, but plenty of African American people on Twitter were not offended by this either. A lot were offended sure, but a bunch of them did not care and are still supporting James Charles today.
I do not know how your brain works nor why you get so worked up over a word that was not used in a derogatory context, but you do you. Who am I to tell you how to think after all.
And that is all folks. In conclusion, 2020 already sucks and is gonna be a bad year no matter what. More for me personally than you, mind you, but it will definitely suck for everybody.
Who knows, let’s be a little bit more optimistic, just perhaps none of the wars that I mentioned will ever happen, perhaps you will live peacefully in 2020, perhaps I am a little too paranoiac, I really hope so.

2020 is likely gonna be an horrible year.
For 1 unique reason: The US election of 2020.
Remember how awful the social climate was, after Donald Trump was elected?
Right wingers were threating Left wingers as if they were nothing, but screaming brats and Left wingers were acting as if they were oppressed by the Right wingers when that was wrong. 2016 was the year when the term “SJW” really became popular alongside “Bigot“ and people were calling each other “Racist”, “Sexist”, “Cuck”, whatever comes through your mind.
There is far more than that to unpack. Left wing groups and Right wing groups became far more aggressive and dangerous. I am talking about the likes of Antifa, The Proud Boys, The March Against Marxism, New Black Panther Party, Unite The Right Rally, etc and they allowed extremists to infiltrate said groups. Antifa has literal Communists (Call them Tankies if you will) while the three other Right wing groups have literal Nazis in them, but that aside it is funny to see these groups became infiltrated by literal scum of the earth after the social climate became extremely toxic ever since Donald Trump was elected. Do not get me wrong, it is not the fault of Trump, it is not something he can control. No, it is the fault of all the clowns that voted for him and Hillary Clinton while the former is a businessman who knows nothing about politics, except the economy, the latter is a sociopath that wanted to start WW3 with Russia. All this extremism led to the Charlottesville incident, the Andy Ngo incident, the Mosque shooting and many more incidents between political figures and people who had no involvement in any of this (In the instance of the Mosque shooting, it was a far Right extremist shooting harmless Muslims, yikes).
To this day, Antifa activists still assault people they disagree with, rather than target what they named themselves after, Fascists, and the March Against Marxists guys still assault people they disagree with, rather than target the people they named themselves after, Marxists. And all of that is because of what people label other people, they label one another “Fascists” or “Marxists”, so they can be targeted by either Antifa or The March Against Marxism. As I said, it is because people became extremely toxic after Trump won. As a result, people cannot stop labeling each other with stupid stuff like “SJW“, “Bigot“, “Cuck“, “Racist“, and I can go on and on with the labels. Feel free to read about witch-hunting because this whole shit is just people witch-hunting one another.
“But Trump is not gonna win this time, I’m voting for Bernie Sanders.“ You really think this is gonna solve anything? If Trump loses, the Right wing will go apeshit. If Trump wins, the Left wing will go apeshit. It is a lose-lose situation. I have absolutely no reason to be optimist about your vote and it does not help that people like Tim Pool keeps saying “There is gonna be a civil war!“ once per week because it certainly does not mitigate it.
That will certainly happen at some point, but my point here is that everytime Tim Pool or anyone else for that matter opens their damn mouth about civil wars, everyone in their respective comment section starts threatening to pull a weapon if the opposition comes near them. For that matter, a lot of Conservatives are watching Tim Pool (Maybe there are other political affiliations as well I dunno) and their opposition are Progressives. This shit is just horrible and I will stay pessimistic until the very end, nothing smells good about that election. I hope for a miracle!
Also, I will hate this year for three other personal reasons:
1. Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7, the OS I used since ever because of how powerful and user-friendly it was. Microsoft has pushed its customers to buy Windows 10 for years now which is complete spyware. The only alternative aside from Windows 7 is either Windows 8.1 or ReactOS which is not finished yet and is not yet usable.
Tumblr media
2. Adobe will stop supporting Flash Player. I used this a lot to play online games and watch animations and all. The death of flash is allegedly caused by the arrival of HTML5. I do not hate HTML5 because it is handy and works perfectly fine within your browser (heck, a game I love, Crosscode, was made using HTML5), but it still saddens me that Adobe does not try to keep the player working. There was another player that was called shockwave player that had the exact same fate like one decade ago. I never had the luck to try it out, so I do not feel anything toward it, but if you were one of those people that used to play a lot of games on shockwave, now I feel you.
Tumblr media
3. Two words: Youtube, COPPA. I am not gonna say that COPPA is a bad thing because it is not, but since Youtube is being as incompetent as ever they will punish the creators for something that is their own fault in stead of trying to find a solution to protect the kids browsing the website. But let’s be honest, it is also the fault of the parents, children should not have a Youtube channel and within the guidelines it is explicitly forbidden for kids under 13 to make videos. Lastly, was not there an app called “Youtube kids“? Why do the parents let their kids watch on the normal Youtube app?
This year will just suck for me and it will likely suck for everyone who’s reading this and that is because of the elections in the US, I cannot see this whole year going any better than 2016.

(Graphic) #animalabuse There's a Spanish Youtuber that abused one of his pets, specifically he abused a cat and chances are it's not the first time he has done something like this. He has recently adopted another kitten (https://youtu.be/2MNz7lm1RDc) and I feel genuinely worried for it.
Another thing to note is that guy, Peluchin, tried to hide the evidence that he ever abused his pets. Here's something that will hopefully convince you that he's a genuine psycho: https://youtu.be/QRwpZmTfN9g (It's blurred though, but you can clearly see what's going on).
Report this guy, report the hell outta this guy.
