"waiting for him"
hi! this is a drabble i wrote a couple of days ago based on a drawing wann left on my strawpage!! i hope you like it <3
"You can go if you want to, Remus. I'll be here for at least two hours more."
Remus sighed, shaking his head and hiding a yawn behind his hand.
Since they started... This, Remus has always waited for Severus to finish his work, whatever it was. Usually, grading papers, but tonight, Severus had to patrol.
And Remus was tired.
"No, it's okay. I'll just grade some papers," he said, cupping Severus' face and loving when he closed his eyes.
At the start, Severus didn't like Remus touching him. He used to get away and frown at him every time he tried to get closer, but now he even leans in his touch. That makes him incredibly happy.
It has been a slow process, but Remus is going to wait for Severus, always.
His comfort is more important than anything else.
"You can grade papers in your quarters," Severus raised his eyebrows, looking at him and Remus smiled, shaking his head.
"I'll be here waiting. I like your office, Sev, it's comfy."
"Comfy," he let out a single chuckle and Remus rolled his eyes, smiling. "In all my years teaching, I've never heard, not even one person besides you, call my office comfy. It's always scary, dark and anything that would never be considered as comfy."
"Well," Remus shrugged, putting the papers on the table. "They wouldn't know what's good even if it slapped them right on the face... Or something like that."
Severus raised an eyebrow.
"You need to sleep, you're not even thinking correctly."
"I'm not because you're here distracting me. Go soon before I steal you and take you to my quarters."
Severus sighed, but allowed himself to smile- it was small, almost unnoticeable, but it was there.
He kissed Remus' forehead, then his lips, softly, slowly.
"I'll be back as soon as I can."
Remus nodded, scratching his eye. They were starting to hurt... He probably needed his glasses.

An hour and a half later, Severus came back to the potions classroom.
"Dumbledore said that I could go, I'm going to accept your offer from before," Severus put down his wand as he entered his office, then let out a low sigh.
Remus was sleeping over his papers and he knew that he was going to have back pain tomorrow, along with his neck hurting and by the way he was sitting, his knee was going to burn.
"I told you you were free to go to your quarters," he whispered, taking off his long coat and putting it on Remus' shoulders, carefully to not wake him up and kissed his cheek before taking some ingredients to prepare a potion for him. One for the pain, one for sleeping after he woke him up.
He was going to take the man back to his room once he was done and he could make sure Remus was going to wake up with as little pain as possible.
