Fantasy On Ice in Sendai (June 2019) Part 2 ~ What a Wonderful World  (alternative title: How to spot a Yuzu-fan)

I see Irene bags, Winnie the Pooh, Parade wristbands, Ciontu, And I think to myself What a wonderful world

I see mirror balls of blue, clouds of white, Seimei days, Phantom nights, And I think to myself What a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow So pretty in Sendai Are also on the faces Of people going by I see fans waving hands, saying how do you do They’re really saying, I love Yuzu… :)

While sorting these photos, I don’t know why the song ‘What a Wonderful World’ kept playing in my head and my brain was changing some parts of the lyrics to match my photos, haha.  Sharing it just for fun;  I hope no one minds!   Apologies to the original song composer. :P

Photos are taken by me at FaOI Sendai, mainly while waiting in line at the food stalls.  My post of the ice show is HERE.  (I did not ask anyone for permission to take photos, so I was careful not to take their faces, just their beautiful Yuzu-goods, which I’m sure they would love to show everyone.  Thank you, fans!)

Masquerade was choreographed by Shae, not Jeff.

Before FaOI, he was able to land 4Lz pretty much, but when he was practicing other jumps, he sprained his left ankle. After that, he took rest for 10 days and he could skate again a day before going to FaOI. (Others are saying he hurt his left leg or knee when he was practicing 4A.)

Masquerade and Crystal Memories are like twins, he practiced them at midnight. He preferred leather on Masquerade costume, but he felt hot and heavy so he couldn’t have it anymore.

He loves fan arts, wants to protect his fans. He will end his Masquerade performance in Toyama since it is hard (he said like “please understand” means he knows we love that program) (he wants to protect us but we want to protect him😭😭)

Since junior days, his stamina doesn’t last. He gives his 150% while others give 70%, so he gets very tired. During the show, he sleeps a lot and does the warm up for his turn. When the show is over, he is too tired to eat. Some people can come only on that day, that is why he always goes with full force in order to reach their hearts. (He’s such a wonderful person)

Yuzuru: I don’t want my family talk me down. I want to win against my family.

Shuzo: You should never get married!

You all are told many things whether they are true or not. I keep causing you troubles, but you are protecting me. I also want to protect you.

He doesn’t eat out in Toronto and Sendai. He likes to eat being relaxed, stretching his legs, watching TV at home. Sometimes he eats watching figure skating seriously.

Shuzo-san asked yuzu abt his dreams, whether English shows up in them, and yuzu replied that in his dreams it’s all japanese— he’ll even dream of speaking to foreigners like Shae & Jeff, but it’s all in jp & they can understand each other very very well LOL

Right now, he has been trying to treat all fans equally as much as possible. He said as an example like, if he told a fan about the program for the next season, she could be isolated from fandom and he would be so sorry for her. (he knows too well…)

sheer

amount

of passion

and

fanservice

that is bundled up in one program and it’s impossible to get it out of your head once you’ve seen it
