Millions of fans around the world have been enthralled by KPOP, resulting in many exciting things happening via the internet. Some of these things include fanfiction and other types of visual content such as graphics, gifs, and many more.

KPOPSCAPE is a network that aims to help content creators of any race and/or gender promote their works to a wider audience. Our network helps to create a space that allows content creators to establish friendships, learn new skills, and have a safe space!

KPOPSCAPE, accepts content creators for any kpop groups and/or soloists. We hold seasonal events that everyone (members and non-members) are welcome to partake in.

Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel!

Where you can be treated for whatever wounds your poor heart has tolerated. Heartbreak Hotel has 23 employees, all of whom will be wholeheartedly devoted to healing your heart, after which you shall be asked to leave. 

For the month of March NCT-WRITERS presents, ‘Heartbreak Hotel,’ which shall follow the theme of 'Heartbreak,’ 'hotel,’ and coordinating it with a song from the provided playlist. Your story should be based around this mysterious hotel and it’s 23 employees!

Heartbreak Hotel not only offers never-seen-before deals and techniques, it also has special floors to regulate the healing of your heart! The hotel floors are coordinated by the stages of heartbreak and must be followed accordingly. 

Every member shall be assigned to a particular floor and should have a chosen song from our special curated playlist, and your work must revolve around that.

This event follows the rule of 'First come first serve’, so there will only be 23 writers in total. HEARTBREAK HOTEL is also member exclusive, so if you aren’t a member yet, apply now!

The event will take place from March 9th to 31st, and like our previous event, each one of these 23 days will have a scheduled NCT member assigned to it. The writer for a particular member will post their story on the set dates. For example, if you chose Hendery as your chosen member, and his CHECK OUT FROM THE HOTEL is on March 9, you will have to post your work on March 9.

WHAT SHOULD I WRITE?

Drabbles, timestamps, oneshots are allowed. However, all works should have a minimum of 500 words.   

All genres are allowed, even smut. However smut is only allowed if you’re legal of age. And strictly no suggestive nor smut for Jisung.

Please see to it that your work is in accordance with the theme, and based on the song you’ve chosen. 

Please be sure that you are okay with writing ‘angst’ or such topic under heartbreak or grief.

KPOPSCAPE PRESENTS: Love Fools

February is just around the corner and kpopscape is here to make it a month full of love and appreciation. Let’s go on a movie date! We are glad to announce our February event - LOVE FOOLS. This event will feature a variety of contents and concepts mostly about love. 

Admit one ticket! This event is open to Kpopscape members and non-members, all you need to do is read throughout this whole post to know what to do.

GUIDELINES:

The event will run from February 6, 2021 to February 28, 2021. Each day, certain kpop idols and k-soloists are assigned to serve as a schedule of when you can release your creativity. Several entries per participant are also allowed, meaning you can make contents as much as you want! At the end of the event, we will showcase our participants’ works in a masterlist which will be pinned in the blog. Participants who are a member of KPOPSCAPE will be featured in the said masterlist (applications are still open, apply now to become a member).

For fanfic writers, feel free to write any type of fics. From drabbles to one-shots, go wild! Take note that we have a minimum word count of 200 words. Make us laugh, cry, or scared! Any genres, AUs, and tropes will do as long as it portrays any type of love.

And since our network has expanded and welcomed new varieties of content, this event is open for visual creators as well! :D Any type of content will do too: gifset, fanart, moodboard, edits, gfx, icons &/or headers, and audiovisual is acceptable. Just make sure to take note of our minimum requirements:

for gifset: min of 2 frames

for fanart: min of 1 board

for moodboard: min of 3 boards

for edits: min of 1 board

for gfx: min of 1 board

for icons and/or headers: 4 boards

for audiovisual: min of 10 seconds

Here is the schedule for the following groups and k-soloists that we will cater for this event. Note that this schedule is applicable for both fic writers and visual creators.

In order for us to evenly promote and feature each content, this schedule will be followed for participants who will take part in the event. 

BONUS: on the last day of the event, FEBRUARY 28, participants can make an entry for ANY KPOP GROUP/SOLOISTS aside from the idols indicated in the calendar :D

SUGGESTIONS:

Here are some guides and suggestions that can inspire your fics and works in able to have an idea of our event’s theme. Feel free to use them in your works, we’d love to see them!

For Fic Writers:

two individuals who grew up and walked their lives together as best friends who love each other platonically yet everyone thought they were a thing (i.e. bff trope; jeno x jaemin friendship as best example); - can be fluff/angst

after years of drifting apart for unexplainable reasons, you found yourselves talking over champagne glasses and hazy nights under your colleague’s terrace in a middle of a high school reunion; - can be fluff/angst/smut

as you go on a field trip, you met someone/a stranger along the way as you both hang out for hours on end and fell in-love until you needed to leave and go back. what happens after is up to you; - can be fluff/angst

a pubg squadmate/duomate au where OCs are total strangers. They interact with their mics on, character A waits for character B in the car despite the difficult circumstances during the game. Just little things that show care; - can be fluff

bff au where their friends know they’re dating but they don’t have any idea that they are; - can be fluff

holidate au where character A desperately finds a fake boyfriend/girlfriend to avoid being interrogated by their relatives. The chosen stranger as bf/gf joins character A in every holiday together with character A’s family until they’ve grown real feelings towards each other (inspired from Netflix’s film, “Holidate”);

drive-in dates / meetups;

manga shop encounters;

interaction/exchanges through little notes tucked in between library books;

“i made you a playlist but you stayed up all night listening with him instead.”;

an invitation to a date concept (pining): until character A ends up agreeing to a cup of coffee with character B;

two strangers fought over a dog’s custody in an adoption center. Authorities suggested to split up the ownership to both of them as they were practically neighbors – sharing the dog in between weeks (what happens after is up to you); and

mutual pining.

“Jaehyun, these are 350,000 won,” you commented, stressing the price, “I love the thought, but this is expensive.” Chuckling at your reaction, Jaehyun pet your hair and smiled. He wasn’t all that worried about the price.

“fine.” you agreed, and sat down on a loveseat with renjun beside you. opening the app, you asked for the code again. 

“abxnco.” chenle told you, and you could hear the tapping of the crew mates’ feet in the game. you joined, with the color orange. jeno was the green crewmate, luna was black, furou purple, chenle red, jaemin cyan, lyra yellow, jisung brown, hannah dark blue and renjun appeared wearing pink. 

“let’s wear matching hats!” jaemin squealed, and lyra nodded with agreement. renjun rolled his eyes, but put on the viking hat anyways. jeno and luna went with the bear ears, furou and chenle with the ‘dum’ post-it, jisung and hannah went with the egg, while jaemin and lyra did the leaf hat. 

“starttt.” jisung whined, swiping furiously at the screen. 

“you’re.. you’re the person who made the game.” jaemin sighed. you cackled at jisungs red ears, renjun laughed along, shifting in his seat. 

“OH, YOU BITCH!” furou screamed, dropping her phone into her lap, whining to chenle about how unfair it was. he laughed, and furou stuck her tongue out with concentration as she finished up her tasks. 

“you realize you do not sound aggressive at all?” luna laughed.

“furou’s just too soft-spoken to sound aggressive.” jeno teased. furou humphed, and you grinned at the girl. 

“well.” renjun rubbed his hands together as a body was reported. furou was the only one dead. “this imposter obviously sucks ass. they only killed one person. SO! it could either be y/n,” renjun ignored the sounds of protest coming out of your mouth. “jisung or jeno.” he reasoned.

The snow fell on Y/N’s hair as they walked down the street, rubbing their hands together and making their way to the cafe that was near the park. Hot chocolate was the perfect drink for the winter season, and drinking it with someone else made it just that little bit better. And to make it even better, Jaemin had agreed to meet up with them. But the 20-year-old had a few other reasons to agree to meet up with his best friend. After 5 years being by each other’s side, he’d come to realise just how Y/N affected his life. He couldn’t live without them, not anymore.

And that was why he was already at the cafe, a promise ring snuck away in his bag.

Jaemin had been looking through his phone while he waited for Y/N, putting the device away immediately when he saw them enter. Almost like a cliche, his posture straightened up and his smile widened tenfold. Waving once they saw Jaemin, Y/N walked over and took a seat, taking their coat and mittens off.

“Did I make you wait long?” In all honesty, Jaemin had been there for more than 10 minutes of his own accord.

“No, not really. I got here - what - a few minutes ago. How are you, my favourite human?” He asked, leaning forward with his head in his hands. He watched their eyes sparkle as he listened to Y/N talk about their day, a loving gaze as he started to zone out just a tad. When Y/N realised their companion was only semi-listening, they sighed as they chuckled, reaching over to flick Jaemin’s forehead. Giggling as he rubbed his forehead, Y/N tilted their head to the side and smiled, a certain look in their eyes that saw Jaemin as more than just a best friend.

“Were you even listening, Jaemin-ah?”

And of course, your entry hadn’t gone unnoticed by your boyfriend, who heard the door from his desk in your shared bedroom.

While you had grabbed a cold water bottle from the fridge, Doyoung had walked into the kitchen quietly, leaning against the counter beside you. Although you were still fuming, looking at him calmed you down, and your face relaxed.

“Hey…” you muttered, your gaze fixed on the water bottle in hand. Taking your hand, Doyoung rubbed circles into your hand and sighed. He knew you loved your work, but your boss just had to have it out for you.

“Baby, want to just lie down together?I can~ give you a massage too?” He offered, standing up straight and kissing your cheek. Cracking a smile, you looked to him and nodded. A massage did sound pretty good. Letting him lead you to the sofa, he sat down and pat the space next to him. Snuggling up close, you let your head rest on his shoulder.

“Doyoung?”

“Yeah? What is it baby?” Turning his head to face you, he pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.

“Should I change my job? I’m tired of dealing with my asshole of a boss everyday.” You wanted out. It was becoming too much and you needed a break. But you didn’t want Doyoung to have to carry the burden alone. Your boyfriend could see it too, and he wrapped an arm around you.

“Baby, if you don’t want to work there, don’t. I can support us both. You come first love, not some job that stresses you out too much.”

“Y/N, what are you drinking?” His face already scrunching up in disgust as he made a vague assumption, you snickered as you put the drink in full view of the camera, and almost dropped in laughter as you read the comments. Regaining your composure, you gave your best friend a sickly sweet smile.

“Everyone, I think Ten already knows what I’m drinking. Do you want some of my blueberry, banana and apple smoothie?” Your dyed-blue hair fell in front of your eyes as you snickered, watching his face.

“Dude…you know I want fruit 10 feet away at all times.”

“Mhm~! And that’s why I’m offering! Aren’t I a great friend everyone?”

“Sure~”

[ 9:11 pm ] skip, skip. you click along the never ending instagram stories that never cease to bore you. a small mental break from the countless hours of studying for the end of the trimester organic chemistry that you’re just about to quit on.

the next story comes on, an ad. it’s different from the normal clean and minimalist designs that tend to be targeted towards your generation. the black bold fonts never really doing it’s job as all ads get muddled in the midst of your mind, all looking the same. but this one, lights up your face a dark blue. a soothing melody that flows into your ears capturing your attention before you can see who’s playing. before you know it, you’ve clicked on the accounts name a besquaremusic opens up. you’re phone falls out of your hand. 

mark lee. was the only thing you’d seen before dropping the phone. a loud thud on the carpeted floor before you kneel down again to grab it. the screen’s slightly cracked but you don’t realize playing over and over the video of your best friend singing over and over again about the person he’s in love with. 

you can feel your heart break. the tendons and filaments that held it together slowly disconnecting themselves from each other. valves closing no longer allowing any blood flow in or out. and then a single tears streams down you face. the salt covering your lips, and you force yourself to open the app again. 

maybe just maybe you’d heard wrong. maybe just maybe the caption didn’t read 

simping over someone, so here’s a song for them. maybe those good morning texts weren’t enough. 

but when you open it again, the different hues of blue a never ending reflection of your current state and you heard the song again that you now, what you’ve known along. mark lee, you best friend and the boy you’ve been in love with for as long as you remember doesn’t love you back. you are reminded of what you’ve always known, no matter how many times you’re friends (mostly na jaemin) had told you to shoot your shot you didn’t really know if he didn’t like you back. 

holding hands, with him, his hands covering your’s their warmth spreading across your body like wildfire. late nights talking until two in the morning discussing his new music, talking about lyrics and different beats. all those days and memories that you hold so dear in your memory. but never a good morning text. 

looking up you see the sun begin to set, it’s flames becoming extinguished by the night sky. darkness threatening to cover the vast and endless sky. and you get up, eyes focused on the lights on the christmas tree, as you hear the lyrics over and over again, you left me on read again. the melody drowns you, it’s soothing vocals threatening to break you again, because it wasn’t fair for him to have that affect on you. 

i guess you were just too busy, to answer my good morning messages. 

the music continues to play over and over, heart breaking slowly tendon by tendon. as you lay in bed drowning in love that you’d have to burry deep deep inside of you. 

buried they would remain because you phone dies. and the message never arrives from mark. a good night <3. this songs for you. 

a/n :: sorry for the angst !! ahhh !! but a small little drabble as i manage to somehow finish this hyuck piece in the next two days hopefully !
