Jason startles as a stranger on the streets of Gotham takes one look at him, looks at him in absolute horror, and then runs to the closest dumpster and vomits into it.

Jason is mildly offended. He doesn’t look that bad does he? — Danny glances back to look at the undead staring at him on the sidewalk and nearly vomits again. His soul is shattered. It’s like looking at a human after being hit by a car at 60mph who’s acting like they’re perfectly fine as they walk towards you. — Jason approaches the stranger, one hand hovering over the shoulder of the guy and asks; “Hey man what’s your problem? What's the deal w-”

The once retching passerby moves imperceptibly quick. His hands go through Jason’s chest and before he can even react he feels something snap back into place.

Jason can barely remember screaming as he near instantly blacks out from the pain.

I recently learned about the rejected pitch for a Batman Beyond film by the Spiderverse creators. I am so mad at Warner Bros rn.

Like LOOK AT THESE. INQUE HAS NEVER LOOKED COOLER. THE ONLY PERSON TO MASTER GOTHAM LIKE THIS IS MATT REEVES.

Ugh and like the themes of hope from ITSV/ATSV wherein Peter B loses sight of what life is about and Miles inspires him could work SO damn well for a Batman Beyond story about Bruce.

And the themes of Miles' Puerto Rican heritage would work too we could explore Terry's Asian heritage (even though he's not since he's a clone but shush he doesn't know that). Like there are so many themes that were present in ITSV/ATSV that are perfect for a Beyond film.

And maybe they could've recast Bruce Greenwood as Bruce or cast someone new and just- uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

I know Warner Bros made every single wrong business practice last year but come on. A film about the popular successor to DC's arguably most famous character made by the guys who sparked an animation renaissance with another comic-book movie. Free money was fucking handed to them and they said "nah we're good". Like what, did they think it wouldn't sell? Was Black Adam all that much better?

Fuckin Warner Bros, man. I'm honestly shocked they didn't go under last year.

I need more 'Peter Parker in Gotham' fics where Peter DOESN'T join the Batfamily. Sure, he might be friends with some of them but they aren't THAT close.

Also, have Spider-Man be this annoying new kid on the block who is way better than he should be. Like, he effortlessly take down the Joker.

Gordon: Some of Joker's guys tried to rob a shipment of Ace Chemicals. My guys got an anonymous tip, most likely from those responsible for this, saying where they are and that the situation has been handled. And to also bring a few ambulances.

Batman: Scans the scene. Paramedics are treating men with clown face paint. Cops are struggling to cut down tied-up men in ridiculously high places. Some were receiving emergency surgery.

Batman: Any idea who did this?

Gordon: Figured it wasn't your squad. Hands Batman a note. It reads, 'Courtesy of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. P.S., sorry about the blood.

Batman: Turns to some of the thugs.

Thug 1: The Devil... The Devil is in Gotham. He's come for us all!

Thug 2: It was like fighting three different people at once. One moment he was throwing baterangs at us and the next he was caving our fucking skulls in.

Thug 3: I don't know how he did it. He was like ten feet away. I shot him. I should have hit him. But when I fired, he was in my face. And he made fun of me!

I'm here to request someone writes one of those Spiderman in Gotham fics but Matt Murdock is also there. Like they don't get there together but they both appear in Gotham at the same time. And like one day Peter sees Matt on a street corner and he's just "there's no way two universes can have as flamboyant of a blind man!"

Peter knows Matt is daredevil. Matt does not know that Peter knows he's daredevil. Matt doesn't know Peter is Spiderman. He doesn't even know this kid he just knows that two people from the same universe have to stick together.

Shenanigans as Matt tries to keep his daredeviliness a secret.

I would write it myself but I have no knowledge on batman things.

Peter is teleported to Gotham after the events of NWH. A vague smooshing of Tom Holland Spider-Man and the Peter Parker from the most recent Spider-Man games.

So I've never really written a fic like this before, I've never really been a Marvel girly outside of like, being a Stucky shipper. But after stumbling across a few Peter Parker in Gotham fics, I thought I'd try my hand at it. I'd really appreciate it if I could get some feedback on it. It's going to have all the self-indulgent tropes, because that's what I enjoy writing, just to warn you straight off if that's not your cup of tea.

Small excerpt from the fic:

But instead of stepping through a portal normally, like Peter would have thought, he found himself suddenly submerged in water. Though, it might not have been water at all, considering it was glowing bright green, burned slightly against his skin and felt much heavier than regular water. Peter swam as hard as he could, trying to reach the top, as his chest burned at the sudden lack of oxygen. After some struggle, given the weight of his clothing and his go-bag, he finally made it, breaching the surface of the pool, gasping for breath. Normally, he could hold his breath for quite some time because of the spider bite. But it only worked if he knew to take a deep breath in the first place. 

Peter flopped onto the hard stone ground beside the pool of glowing water, the room or cave really, was illuminated by green light emanating from the pool. There looked to be torches around the cave that had long since burned out. They didn’t look like they’d been lit in hundreds of years. Groaning as he stumbled to his feet, dragging his now waterlogged gym bag with him, Peter tried to take stock of himself. He was dripping wet, obviously, but something else felt… odd. 

He wasn’t wearing his Iron Spider suit, and his under clothes seemed to be hanging off him, as if several sizes too big. He looked down and quickly examined his body. He was much smaller than he remembered being, that was for sure. He walked back to the pool, just to try and check out his reflection, and saw his thirteen-year-old self reflected back at him, sans the dorky glasses and haircut. The year he had been bitten by the spider that altered his DNA and gave him his enhanced abilities. He swallowed harshly, his gaze barely registering a weird white streak in his fringe, and stepped away from the pool.
