i think my first note for finishing lotr is just how funny the polycule breakup is. like yes aragorn go and marry arwen and leave your boyfriends go king!!! and then legolas and gimlis honeymoon without him 😭 its funnier to me if they ARE still together and did that anyway without him like damn. arwen sitting there like "this is my husband aragorn and these are his married boyfriends legolas and gimli"

I think that one of the funniest things about Legolas (especially in the movies) is that he’s literally the only Elvish prince in all of Middle-Earth but everyone treats him like he’s just a random guy. And he ACTS like just a random guy as well which makes it even better

I may never stop thinking about these two scenes. About what Thorin really was to Bilbo. He cannot formulate a precise definition in front of Balin and finally pronounces "he was my friend" in the Shire. But Bilbo says it... It's so empty. A forced definition, which, in fact, is still not completely true.
