ON A SCALE FROM 1-10..

How exciting was your day? 10. It was actually a productive Sunday! After church we had lunch at Yabu, bought a microwave to replace our broken one, went window shopping for a new laptop and a PS5, I bought a bunchhhhhh of Me Stuff in one go (BB cream, blush, reed diffusers...you get the gist), went for a quick grocery run to get milk and also managed to take Max to the vet clinic before they closed. It was so much stuff done that I can't believe it only totaled a little over than 4,000 steps LOL

How happy do you feel right now? I want to say a 7.5. Today was well-spent and I like that my family and I got along today (we always clash after a few consecutive hours together...), but that high's coming down now because it's already 5:40 PM and the weekend will soon be over.

How clean do you feel? A healthy 9. I took a shower today and my room now smells like ocean because I have two reed diffusers going at the same time, but I just feel 'dirty' because I've still got acne on my face and I don't like that.

How full in the stomach? 7. I had a big lunch that's long settled in my stomach now, but while it doesn't feel heavy I'm also not hungry. And I doubt I'd be feeling hungry anymore for the rest of the day.

How thirsty? 1. I have a chocolate Oatside with me now that I'm sipping from every few minutes.

How bored? 1. I did so much stuff today that I have no problem just filling this out and being friends with the silence and overstimulating myself like what I'd usually look for on weekends.

How tired/sleepy? 3. I feel like I could fall into a nap if I made myself lie down, but I'm alert and awake for the most part.

How satisfied with life atm are you? 4. My job makes me MISERABLE and question my abilities and worth every single day. It's a thankless 9-5 where you can do your best and put in 150% effort but still only ever get seen and called out when you make a mistake/don't meet expectations. I know I will be happier if I set out to look for greener pastures; but I just can't help but stay for now knowing the team is suffocatingly incomplete as it is and me leaving would just make everyone else suffer so much more.

How satisfied are you with your relationship status? 10. Nothing to complain about, ever.

How satisfied are you with your friends? 8. I love all of them, but I wish some of them (i.e. my college friends) would put in more effort in keeping up our friendships. I don't take it personally, though; I've also accepted the fact that our friend group may just not rank high on their priorities at this point anymore, and that's fine.

Now what about family? 6. We are very dysfunctional but we make it work.

How entertained are you atm? 7. I have a Good Mythical More running in the background and I've gotten sidetracked from this survey a few times, so I'd say that's entertainment in effect haha.

How bright is the room you’re in? 2. All the lights are off so it's actually super dark here, but my laptop is set to the highest brightness level and that more than balances out the darkness.

How loud is your music/sound you hear? 2.5. Out of the 16 volume bars on my laptop, it's just until the fourth bar so that's literally a 2.5 if my math is correct.

How confident are you about your looks right now? 4. There's a nasty acne scar near my nose that just won't go away. It's affected my confidence a little bit so that's why I headed to the store today to grab a bunch of face care and makeup stuff.

How clean is your room? 9.5. There are just a few things lying around but otherwise the place is spotless.

How much do you love dolls/stuffed animals? 5. Stuffed animals are very cute :)

How satisfied are you with your room? 9. I really really love the loft bed we've built in here since it gave my room so much more space. The one lacking point is just on me, because I haven't been buying any furniture or even just any sort of accent, really, to give my room more of a personality.

How much do you love dogs/cats (pick one)? 11. No-brainer. I like animals more than people.

How well do you do in school? 7. I did well if I really liked the class, but barely put in effort for classes I just felt 'forced' to have, like chemistry and philosophy. In other words I lacked focus and discipline; I feel like I would have had much higher scores across the board if I just powered it through and did a better job pretending to give a fuck about the classes I hated.

How well can you read out loud? 10. Never had a problem with it.

How good are your eyes? 3. I need my glasses, otherwise everything would be hazardous for me.

If your significant other cheated on you, how mad would you be? 10. I'd be so mad I'd turn quiet and simply cut off ties.

What if it was with your best friend? 20. 10 for the SO cheating, 10 for my best friend betraying me and cheating on her fiancé.

You found a toonie on a ground, how happy would you be? 0. I'd be confused and would be asking what a toonie is.

You lied to a friend about something semi-big, how guilty would you feel? 5. Depends on the lie.

You accidentally took something from a store, how guilty would you feel? 10. I did this once when I walked out of a bookstore with a box of crayons I forgot to pay for. I felt really bad and turned to make my way back immediately.

You were given some illegal substance, what would you feel/how much of it? This question doesn't make sense but I would say 0 which stands for, "I'd stay away from it even if it were the last thing on earth."

You spent $300 for yourself, how satisfied would you feel? 5. Satisfied, yes; but also equally guilty/feeling bad because that is so much money to spend on myself.

What about for others? 7. It's a lot of money, but I'd feel better if I made someone else happy with that money.

if you were to leave the house right now, would you change your outfit all? I'm already dressed up, actually; I'm just taking this before I head out since it's still a little early. So no, need to change anything from what I'm wearing now.

when was the last time something really cute happened to you? Last night Cooper quietly shook my hand when I asked to, even though he was visibly sleepy and just wanted to go to bed hahaha.

why aren't you texting the last person you kissed? Because we haven't talked in four years and I intend to keep that timer running until I die.

when was the last time something bothered you? Work always sneaks its way up my head to bother me, even on weekends; that being said, the correct answer to this would be just last night. I envy people who can switch off their Work Minds during the days their job doesn't have to matter.

what was the last thing you looked up on youtube? Probably a Going Seventee episode. I seldom look stuff up myself anymore and just go through my recommendations.

what exactly did you drink the last time you were intoxicated? It was a few glasses of espresso martini.

do you actually love your parents? In the grand scheme of things, yeah. It's very easy to say this about my dad, but with my mom...a little more challenging. She hasn't treated me the best, hasn't been the best mom all my life, hasn't ever uttered a single apology for all the damage she's done; but the older I get, the more I see her as just a flawed person much like everyone else.

Maybe it's self-induced Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe it's just easier for me to let the past go because I've wiped out very, very big chunks of my memory and only remember what I choose to remember. But I have at least feelings of what I'd call love for her. I haven't said it to her since I was 11/12. But I think I feel it for her.

have you ever had a school picture turn out absolutely dreadful? No. We're permitted to check them anyway and do retakes until we're happy.

are you more prone to being the social butterfly, or the wallflower? It really depends on the crowd. I can hang out at both sides.

would you rather go to a katy perry or taylor swift concert? That evening sounds horrendous.

have you ever thrown up from working out? No but I've nearly passed out. Like, my vision started blacking out and I had to stagger my way to the restroom completely blind, only relying on my memorization of the rooms' layout. It was a stupid decision not to call for help but I didn't want to make a scene and have more people crowd up on me.

what pattern do the sheets on your bed have? It's just a plain brown/mocha sheet.

are your days full and fast-paced? Unfortunately they are.

We've had a few clashes at work because of differing philosophies, but because I'm non-confrontational and very burned the fuck out out I chose to be the one to adjust because I'm always going to be seen as the wrong one given my higher position.

Are you genuinely a fan of Starbucks or do you think it’s all hype? I'm a fan. I go there all the time to work; and even if I don't need to be there for work it's the type of place I'd go out of my way for to get a drink. I like the way their coffee tastes, I like that they're everywhere, I like that they have parking lol, and I like that the staff is always nice regardless of which branch you're in.

Are you a fan of garlic bread? It's great but I'm not Millennial/Gen Z levels of hyped over it.

Do you own any personalized clothing? What’s the reason for getting it? No tbh I find that sort of design cringey but you do you haha.

Have you bothered to think of the future lately? I guess. Sure.

Is there something you are always interested in? Anything to do with...the universe, tbh, and what's unknown about it. I always gravitate towards new discoveries or new breakthroughs when it comes to the ocean depth, or galaxies far away from us, or finding habitable elements or whatever it is on a distant planet. You get the gist. Anything that was never known before, I'd love to read more on.

What did you last hear that made your jaw drop? We had an IRL r/AITA discussion in my friend group because Hans apparently has struck a nerve with not only Angela but also her parents for continuing to act not quite his age despite their current engagement and wedding next year. I knew Angela's frustrations, but when she dropped that her parents (the nicest, quietest people on the face of the earth) were also starting to feel vocally disappointed, that's when I got really surprised and told her to deal with him on this like yesterday.

Will you be attending any concerts in the next month? No. The only concerts I'm waiting for would be Seventeen (without Jeonghan AGAIN, ugh why does the man avoid me?) and BTS.

What have you been worried about lately? My mental health.

Do you know how to swim? I know the basics and how to keep myself afloat, yes.

Do you think you could go a week without sugar? For the most part. I think I'll only struggle with coffee, but I know how to drink an iced Americano so I'll manage.

What was the last thing to upset you? It was about work. I don't want to talk about it, but what I can share is that it was bad enough to make me not acknowledge my dogs when I got home that night, and I had a panic attack alone at 11 PM.

What was the first tattoo you got or what would be the first tattoo you’ll get? I want something dedicated to my pets, so I've always been thinking about pawprints.

I hate my hair right now as it's been unmaintained since losing the purple dye, and now the whole thing looks a way I'd personally call cheap. I spend a few minutes really getting into my hairstyle for the day and playing around with my hair so I can make the black and blonde look less messy.

Do you use a planner to keep track of your life? I have a to-do list for work but that's it.

Are your parents good cooks? My dad has been a chef all his life, so yes. My mom wouldn't count as a great cook but she cooks for us and I like her cooking all the same.

What was the most expensive bill you paid within the last month? I'm not in charge of bills but I did offer to buy a new microwave since our current one gave out, so that would technically be the answer.

What do you get complimented on the most? My writing. Every now and then someone'll say they like my hair but that I genuinely don't understand because it looks like shit now.

Why did you go to the doctor the last time you went? Routine physical exam. I'm honestly surprised the results came out as well as they did, considering I don't exactly have the healthiest lifestyle.

Do you think you could handle a job in the medical field? Why or why not? No. I've heard the hours are grueling, and that's beside the fact that my profession lies nowhere near the medical field.

Do you prefer to play chess or checkers? I don't know how to play either but I'd love to be good at chess. I've always been a frustrated chess learner, i.e. I've had people teach me all the time how it works but nothing ever registers in my head lol.

Do you actually read privacy policies when signing up for new things? No, not really. The main thing I do privacy-wise is when I disable tracking whenever I download/sign up in a new app.

Did you have a lot of birthday parties when you were younger? if so, did you invite everyone in the class? I didn't. I wasn't popular and never had that many friends to warrant a birthday party. This is besides the fact that my birthday fell during the old summer season (March-June) so not only did I never get to throw a birthday party apart from my 7th; I also never got to experience being greeted by classmates hahaha.

Do you like when things are color coordinated? It's pleasant to the eyes but it's not like it's a mandatory for me.

Have you ever participated in one of those “guess how many jelly beans, mints, etc. are in this jar!” contest? if so, have you ever won? No. I've never come across those!

Do you think you would be good at memorizing lines if you were an actor or actress? If we're speaking strictly about memorization skills, yes. I have no interest in being an actress though. The task has always seemed so daunting to me.

Can you juggle? No, though I've tried to more times than I can count. It's just not meant for me, heheh.

Have you ever mistaken a ringing phone on tv or in a movie for your own? It has for sure happened. Sometimes I've heard a ringing phone thinking it's our landline, only to discover it was the neighbor's.

How often do you use bobby pins? Almost never. The last time I used them was probably during my college grad shoot to hold my hairdo together.

Have you ever used a pedometer? Not a separate one, no. I occasionally check my steps from my phone though.

What were you doing 45 min ago? I was finishing up some work so I can clear up my load tomorrow. Feeling proud of that :)

What will you be doing in 20 min? Either doing another one of this or preparing to go to Angela. It's her birthday today and she'll be at dinner with her family first, so I'm just waiting for her go-signal to tell me she's free so I can come over.

What did you do yesterday? Yesterday was a full-on rest day because I knew I had lots of work/personal errands to do today. That said, I watched The Emperor's New Groove, Toy Story 1, and Toy Story 2 while watching BTS and Seventeen stuff in between. 100% a lazy day.

Are you in a good mood right now? I wanna say 70% in a good mood? I did all the errands I told myself I absolutely had to do today and I'm stoked about that – and I'm also still seeing Angela and Hans tonight so I'm bound to have a great evening. The only thing that sucks is that the weekend is over again and I feel barely well-rested.

What do you usually order from McDonald’s? Most frequently, a plain cheeseburger and barbecue fries. Other days when I find even that boring, I'll switch it up - usually either a Big Mac or fried chicken and rice.

What was the last movie you watched? What’d you think of it? Toy Story 2. I love the entire franchise, but it's still nothing compared to the first movie.

Are you worried that you won’t be accepted into the college you want? It was definitely a worry I had, but I ended up passing.

What is the last class you failed? Continued from earlier this evening. A 40/100 in my Economics class in college. The only failing mark that sent me straight to laughing because of how ridiculous it was.

Has it snowed where you live yet? Or does it never snow? It does not snow here.

Have you ever taken a picture with Santa when you were little? I was only photographed with a Santa when I was 2.

Did anything exciting happen today? Yes, I saw Angela and got to give her my birthday present. I gave her two Pandora charms and tbh the most exciting thing about it was her confirmation that I didn't get her any dupes (she collects charms in the first place). So YAY we don't need to replace either of them haha.

Do you own any clothing of your favorite color? Just a few. Purple isn't really my color.

When’s the last time you ate bread? I had a Big Mac last night.

What’s the last movie you watched on your own? I don't really do that anymore; I always ask at least one other person to watch with me – usually my sister.

What about the last movie you watched with another person? Ready or Not, with my sister and cousins.

How many coats do you own? Zero. I don't need them + haven't been to a country cold enough to need coats.

What about shoes? I probably have around ten pairs. I say 'probably' because I'm never sure about this and because I only wear the same two, haha.

One word to describe your most recent ex? Narcissistic.

Where, in your current country, would you like to live, other than where you do now? I had a dream a few nights ago that I retired in Bulacan and lived a quiet rest of my life there, with my own tiny home and a garden. I felt oddly at peace when I was dreaming that...I don't know if that's my brain trying to tell me something or if it's just meant to be a random dream. That said, it would be nice, but maybe in another universe.

Do you like snow? I think I would. I've never seen or touched it before.

Do you like sheer clothing? Not a fan.

Have you ever seen anyone famous in the street? I was at the mall the same time as Greyson Chance - that's the most random encounter I've had. Every other celebrity I've crossed paths with was expected since they've all been for work. Just this evening I was part of a courtesy call for one of our Olympian athletes.

Are you hungry right now? Continued from Thursday. I'm actually not, even though it's 3 AM. I had a very heavy dinner that I'm still feeling, lol.

Are you regularly tired? Yeah, pretty much. I have a bad habit of sleeping late even though I constantly need to wake up early for work.

What was the last thing to upset you? Just work stuff as usual...with Trina resigning for good and having no immediate replacement, I no longer have a work superior per se and all the tasks that she would normally have to approve and decide on have fallen on me, even though that crap is way out of my job description. It's all just very overwhelming and I wish people would stop looking to me for solutions because I do not fucking have them.

How’s the weather been today? It rained really hard this morning, then was humid the rest of the day. 

What was the first tattoo you got or what would be the first tattoo you’ll get? Pawprints of all my pets.

What was the last store you went into and did you buy anything? I rarely go into stores because truth be told all I ever spend on are food and my subscriptions haha. If I had to guess, probably a Miniso? Didn't buy anything though.

Have you ever been late for school or work? Last Thursday I set a new record for being irresponsibly late - woke up at 9:56 AM. I still feel gross about it and probably always will. It's a miracle no one had been looking for me.

Have you driven a car today? I haven't in two weeks, no :( We're having my car done for a major maintenance thing so I had to let go for it a while. For the most part I've been able to manage but the shitty aftereffect is how much it's been draining my wallet because I've had to Grab everywhere lol.

Do you have a small, medium or large bedroom? I would say it's small, but it does a good job feeling medium since I have a loft bed and I have space everywhere below.

Yeah, there was one instance in college where I was going relatively fast and the car in front of me suddenly braked. I knew it was going to be bad for my car, but I braked with every power on my leg in an attempt to not hit it; I was successful, but it was still stupid close.

I was pretty shaken up, and once I parked I had to spend a few minutes in the car to absorb everything and Go Back To Earth.

15. What is the most annoying thing your friend does? Do you ever call them out on it? I don't find Angela annoying. We're pretty much at that point where we're set to be best friends and sisters for life. We haven't bickered since we were like 11.

When was the last time you admired some flowers? What kind/color were they? I don't know. I don't really...stop for things like this anymore; and it feels sad saying that out loud. In any case, I haven't admired flowers at least since May, when I was looking at the ones I bought my mom and grandma for Mother's Day.

Just an early disclaimer - I watch whatever season I feel like watching at any given moment, but my answer to this would be Friends. 1) What are the best and worst things about your neighborhood? Best: It's quiet, and at least where I live is gated, so it's safe since it's essentially community-based – meaning no one would ever dare do anything harmful, and if someone does the word gets around fast. Coffee shops are everywhere so you can always get your coffee fix or even work from there if you need a change in scenery.

Worst: I live in a suburb-y area, so the activities are a little lacking. There are pop-ups here and there, like spoken word shows or painting workshops, but never enough to define this place as a hub for culture. If you're one for experiencing new things all the time, better to go to Metro Manila. They've also been extending the railway system at the moment so traffic has been horrible.

2) If someone gave you an extra $5,000 for your house and only your house, how would you spend it? I'd get both a front gate and a walled backyard so that I won't hear the neighbors' kids anymore.

3) If someone outside of your town or city visits you for the first time, where would you take them out to? This actual scenario happened to my family last month when my relatives from the States (including two foreigner partners who know nothing about the Philippines except for balut) came over for a two-week stay, and tbh my reco had been to bring them to Poblacion – far away from where we live HAHA there's nothing to recommend strongly here for a tourist, tbh! I'd rather take you to the city where so much more is happening.

5) What’s a random fact about where you live? David Pomeranz had a concert in my city not too long ago to raise funds for our parish which has been under construction for...as long as I can remember. 6) Whose house was it? It's been a while since I've been at someone else's home. Maybe my dad's family's duplex? We were there last month, I remember. We paid a visit for a final lunch together before he flew out the next day.

7) Why did you visit and how long did you stay? Gave the answer ^ above, and we stayed there from lunch til around 6 PM which is our usual length there. We don't like staying too late because they're way down south and it's just generally too far a travel to justify staying until the evening.

Honestly I've only ever seen the living room of both houses; Filipinos generally don't invite visitors into bedrooms unless you're immediate family or best best best friends lol. But from what I know of their place, it is very homey, cozy, and comfy. Perfect for their size since they're 10.

10) What about their house would make it difficult for you to live there if you had to? Well first of all they technically live south-ish, which I find too far. You also need to pass toll gates to get to Metro Manila because it's Expressway City over there and that's just not the daily lifestyle I wanna be living lmao.

As for the home itself, they live in a townhouse-style property, so you're wall-to-wall with the neighbors and I personally find the idea a little suffocating.

11) What is the name of the restaurant, and what kind of cuisine do they serve? It was a Taco Bell. We have six Taco Bells in this big ass country and none of them are near me, so when Angela invited me to watch Seventeen's concert in one of the handful of malls that happens to have a Taco Bell, I grabbed the chance haha.

12) How did you first find out about this restaurant, and what triggered you to try it? I honestly think it was the 2010s hipster Tumblr scene that made Taco Bell popular in my age group. 16) Where did you go and what did you do there? I was in Makati yesterday to finally mount the event I've been directing and managing for the last five months.

I'm not gonna lie, seeing all the renders come to life made me a little emotional and I had to swallow the lump in my throat when I arrived. It wasn't an easy ride planning for this because I went through a million back and forths with the client over those five months, so knowing that it will finally pass in a few hours rendered me speechless and slightly teary-eyed haha.

17) How did you get to this place? How comfortable was the trip? I drove. It was a very easy drive as it was a Sunday morning – and not just any Sunday, but a Sunday squished inside a 4-day weekend – so I knew I could wait it out a bit at home before heading out.

What was the last fast food restaurant that you ate at? What did you get? I got Shake Shack because I've honestly been craving it the entire time ever since I tried their burgers for the first time months ago, but all their branches are just SO far away. Yesterday I managed to be somewhere with a Shake Shack hanging around so I grabbed the chance even though they were not part of my budget for their day lmao I got their hot chicken sandwich + cheese fries + salted caramel milkshake.

What do the curtains look like in your room? Do the things in your room match, or do you just have a lot of things that don’t go together? They're just plain grey-beige curtains that keep natural light out as that's all I need it to do. Mm, I don't have a lot of accents in my room as it is; I never got the itch to match stuff together. As long as everything I need is here, that's already fine with me.

Do you have any neighbors that you dislike, or try to avoid? Who is the weirdest person you have ever met? The people who live behind us for some reason have like 5-6 kids roaming and running around and making the biggest fucking noise I've heard ever come out of a house. It is exhausting hearing one of the kids scream-cry every 10 minutes or so. I went from being annoyed to actually hating them, because the parents never do anything to stop the crying...at some point I learned to gather the courage to piss them off back by playing my speaker at the highest volume and pointing it to their direction.

They also make inihaw occasionally and the smoke and smell waft over to my room, so they do wonderful jobs being inconveniences.

What was the last pill you took for? Do you have any medications that you take daily? Biogesic, it's really the only thing I take semi-regularly. No, I don't take anything else daily.

What is the stupidest thing you have done while driving? Do you consider yourself to be a good driver? I've accidentally driven out with my right side mirror closed. The first time I nearly bumped into someone (precisely because I couldn't see anyone on my right) while trying to pull over – then I got formally pulled over by an officer immediately after lol not my finest moment.

The second time happened just two weeks ago and very fortunately traffic was light + I was already in the rightmost lane already so I easily managed to pull over and fix the damn thing. But yeah, all things considered, I'm an okay driver. I'd say I'm more safe and slow than 'good,' though – I'll take ten minutes longer to get to my destination as I'm more careful and usually give everyone right of way lol but at least I'm safe.

HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN…

you had your first crush? It was very unserious but I first had feelings of 'crush'ness when I was 11. Grade 5. Then she moved to New Zealand a year after we became friends and never really ever got in touch again after.

you made your first best friend? I met Angela when we were 7; we sat beside each other in our Grade 1 class. Our favorite story to tell is how we started talking to each other only because I accidentally stabbed her palm with a pencil.

you had your first break-up with a significant other? We broke up when I was 17; within the same month of my grandpa passing and taking the entrance exam for the one university I wanted to pass. Keep it classy...we got back together when I was two months away from turning 18, then broke up again when I was 22.

you learned your first swear word? I was 5, hah. My dad was into shooting/crime video games and I still remember one of the cutscenes having the word 'fuck' in it. But because he played the mission repeatedly, I ended up memorizing the entire cutscene and one instance I forgot to shut myself up by the time the 'fuck' line was said. So I said it unconsciously, to his horror.

you started swearing? I was 11. Basically the time I started using the internet.

you had your first sleepover? 14 or 15, I can hardly remember.

you were first baptized? I was a month and a half old.

you were baptized and it meant something? I've never...experienced that before? Haha.

you made you first huge regret? When I was 11 and experienced getting my back stabbed by a friend for the first time. Then I stupidly took her back in only for her to do the same thing months later, after which I cut her off.

you felt mature? I have two main answers to this because maturity can mean many different things at many different points. The first was when I entered college, so I was 18 – it was my first time in a public school and it was really my first time dealing with life with nobody looking out after you. We were coddled so much in my first school that it gave me both culture shock and a massive weight of freedom.

Second time, I was 22. My first job offer and my breakup happened days apart from each other, so I was rushing to fix all my government documents (it was like 10 total and I had none of them, and I had two days to acquire all of them) while crying and hyperventilating in the fucking car literally the entire time I was driving. I'd usually have that ex go with me to every milestone, so having to be alone for the very first time in six years – and for adulting errands no less – felt very jarring. The silence in the car, not having anyone to share my experiences with, and having to figure out all the overwhelming government processes myself...I know it might seem small to others but considering how introverted I was years ago, it was such a heavy, heavy thing to carry. But also a slap in the face reminder that I needed to start being more mature from that moment on.

you started going to church? I think my mom started bringing me from the time I was 8 or 9. It's been every Sunday ever since.

Where is the most fun place you have EVER been?  Chatuchak market in Thailand has to be up there. I've never had a bigger blast shopping haha. Hoi An in Vietnam too! The Cafe Apartment in Saigon was also so much fun to explore.
