First-years, but to make fun of their trauma and to process it (in an unhealthy manner, because no one is capable of dealing with their emotions competently in NRC. It's like an unwritten admission criteria: lack of emotional intelligence.), they write books about the main story of TWST.

Each book is essentially one of the main story books in TWST, with changed names and slightly changed stories. The prologue is a book on its own, and books 6 and 7 might have had to be split into multiple parts because of how long they are. They don't cover the stuff that only the seniors saw, because they're written in the first-years perspectives.

Once they finish vent writing the books, they pause, take a look at them, shout at each other for a while because what do you mean you had to dig your way out with a spoon!, and then realize that they're actually pretty good.

So Ortho, after discussing it with the others, sends them off to some publisher and they make some deals (in case you couldn't tell, I don't know too much about the publishing industry) and the books are sold.

And they're really popular. There's ship wars going on for the first-years' characters and they spend some time scrolling through the fanfics and fanart written for the series and get thoroughly embarrassed both by the ships and the smut. (If you want, they could all be dating minus Ortho, or they could be in a QPR, or they could all just be friends. Whatever's funnier to you.)

And of course, the books are being released somewhat slowly, since they're a series, so the first-years get a lot of money and have started writing about the events that we can reasonably fit into the canon timeline.

Everything's great!

Until Cater picks up a copy of the book that's about Riddle's Overblot because they're so popular, starts reading it, and then realizes that the story is suspiciously familiar.

Riddle: Yes. I think he has a small collection of the keychain stuffed animals that Cater, Che'nya, ect have given him that he refuses to throw away because "it would be improper to discard of gift"(EXCUSE)

Cater: Yes, but I think there for collection sake. Like labubu and that kind of thing

Trey: One or two from siblings and friends that are sentimental

Deuce: Not at school, but I think he still has one childhood stuffed animal

Ace: "Pfff- no! I'm too grown for that" (POSER)

Leona: Again, one from his childhood. I think it would have been a gift from his brother that he is pissed to have around but refuses to get rid of

Ruggie: No, I don't think he particularly care for them

Jack: Not personally, but I think his siblings' toys occasionally get stuck with his stuff

Azul: One, and it is for his to hug while sleeping. Big and chunky that he curls around

Floyd: Yes. Fugglers. Have people begged him to throw them away? Yes. Has he? ABSOLUTELY NOT

Jade: MUSHROOM SQUISHMELLOW

Kalim: Yes. I feel like this is a no brainer

Jamil: No. He views them as clutter

Vil: No. Their are harbor for a cesspool of germs and he will not subject his skin to that

Rook: collectible ones, yes. I feel like, while his vil merch collection is more vinyl, his Neige one is more stuffed animals and toys because of Neige's image

Idia: Yes, you can see them in the game

Ortho: Yes.

Malleus: No, purely for the reason that I think he is too focused on gargoyle.

Lilia: Yep. Picks a small one up from his travels every now and then. He pins them up

Some cookie cutter shark facts for today:

☆They're actually found in warmer oceans, which just leans more into the idea of the Clearcoves not being very accepted in Atlantica which is in a cold ocean

☆Their bites can reach 7cm/2.7 inches deep deep. That's as a small shark. Imagine a people sized merfolk! Ouch

☆Their bioluminescent glow is considered similar to that of a firefly

☆Turns out I was wrong, *both* rows of teeth are fused at the base, not just the bottom row. This means any teeth that come out will come out in entire rows. By the time a cookie cutter shark is grown, they'll have lost at least 15 sets of teeth from the lower jaw alone

☆Their skeletons are very dense

☆Because of the structure of their fins, cookie cutter sharks aren't very good swimmers compared to other sharks. However, they are very agile! Silas has very damaged fins so that only adds to his difficulty swimming properly

☆Smalltooth and largerooth cookie cutters are both different. Largetooths don't have a large band of black scales around their necks. This means Finn, Silas, etc are all smalltooth cookie cutters!

☆My lore isn't so far off, cause irl cookie cutter sharks make sure they're always in the dark! They stay below light level during the day and only come up close to the surface to hunt at night. Because they're always so deep below the surface, they're difficult to study

☆Pups are born ready to hunt. Obviously things are a bit different for my ocs, since Finn was pretty helpless when he was born, however he was born with a full set of teeth and also very tiny but very sharp claws

Daily headcanon 46: when it comes to their friends being bullied Deuce and Epel are more confrontational while Jack and Ace are more likely to try using words first except Jack will try diffusing the situation and ace just starts being mean back instead and sebek starts yelling about how absolutely disrespectful and disappointing the bully/bullies behaviour is until they just leave you avoid getting very loudly lectured
