Violaf thoughts

Other people: You can’t ship Violaf because she’s 14 and it’s an abusive relationship.

Me: Wait, what if I want to read/write a story of Violet getting back at Olaf for all the misery he actually caused in the canon? If I want her to become a strong young woman who won’t let anyone push her around? And if I really want count Olaf to feel miserable and threatened by any romantic feelings he develops for Violet, so that all of his evilness backfires on him? And if I wanted to include any violence I would definitely write about Violet attempting to murder count Olaf in a very The-Adams-Family way (dark comedy, you know). My point is, a “ship” stands for relationship in general, not necessarily for hot romance and smut. It can be a psychological study or a G-rated parody. It upsets me to see all the hate going on.
