THIS WAS MY CELEBRATORY MCD 10YEAR ANNIVERSARY POST I DRAFTED 18 HOURS AGO. THIS WAS BEFORE I SAW THAT JESS ACTUALLY LIKE POSTED SOMETHING FOR IT. I HAVENT WATCHED IT YET. WHO KNOWS. Literally despite falling out of and then back into love with the series for about 3 years there, it has made irreversible changes to my psyche and personality as an individual LOL.

I watched that crap when I was in middle school bro. And now it’s 10 years old. That’s insane to me. In fact it has not processed in my head yet.

there are so many stories that just watching Minecraft Diaries has made me want to tell. It will forever be my longest ever fandom I’ve been a part of and even with the amount of times it’s broken my heart and stomped on my dreams with its… interesting writing choices, I will still always hold it so dear to me. All of the inspiration I’ve found in the past and the journey of reliving all of it now many years later, I still find new things to get inspired by.

I don’t know. I just think it’s such an insane thing. 10 years! I’m such a nerd!!!

I feel like if I’d have never ran into Aphmau when I did all those many many years ago then maybe I could have avoided this mc youtube content pipeline I find myself eternally trapped in. I don’t know who that would have made me today though, so I guess I’m grateful for it. LOL

Thank you Jess for creating Laurance and then subsequently murdering his character in every sense of the word. I pretend I do not see it!! I am just glad that he exists. But also each and every character in the series is so incredibly precious to me. Maybe I’ve just gotten too used to fandoms with a small cast of characters, but I feel like it is still an invaluable thing to point out that there are so many interesting and intriguing characters to note throughout diaries. Everyone from the main cast to the side and background characters! Even if at times it feels like they were forced aside from their full potential to further a narrative agenda. What they lack in narrational-justice they make up for in potential!!! And god do I love to bask in the what-ifs of characters who never got to reach their potential.

I’m a big ol’ rambler. I’m just very excited!!!!!

I have really no idea what big shift took place within the past few months, but ig drawing constant aphmau fanart has changed me and my art irreversibly??? in a good way though I think! I’m much much happier with this one! :)

MCD Season 1 Episode 100

Laurance jolts awake suddenly some time after Aphmau and Katelyn brought him in to a bed. He’s dazed and confused, wondering why in the world they say they found him knocked out in front of Ungrth’s grave. Then suddenly it comes back to him. Garroth asking for the amulet, him refusing- and then everything going black. Garroth knocked him out and took the amulet they were supposed to protect. Aphmau does not want to believe him!!

The second I rewatched this scene (and then the 10 times after that) I had to sit down and draw it. This is vague-looking and doesn’t make sense but I spent a hella long time on it and I’m proud of it where it counts :)

I still haven’t built the courage to finish episode 100 yet. What if the hurt kills me? I’m a fragile soul.

Every time Laurance hugs Aphmau an angel gains their wings I’m soooo serious. He’s so concerned for her 💔 literally terrified of losing her too. When they’re dealing with Kenmur’s breakdown at seeing his formerly dead fiancée, Laurance by default imagines Aphmau as his fiancée and it makes him 100% empathize with Kenmur’s reaction. 😭😭😭 No matter what, when it comes to matters of the heart, she’s the one he thinks of. AND SHE’S SO RECKLESS AND AND AND SHE GIVES FARRRRR TOO MUCH OF HERSELF TO THOSE AROUND HER AND HE JUST WANTS HER TO BE SAFE AND OKAY AND HAPPY AND- 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

They make me so insane I can’t I simply cannot I have to lay down. This is. They’re just. …I refuse to accept a world where they don’t live happily ever after, okay?! They deserve itttttt 💔💔💔☹️☹️☹️❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
