Periodic rent-lowering-gunshots:
Fiction is not reality.
You can enjoy things in fiction that would be awful in the real world. Like playing a murderhobo in a game! In the real world, being or supporting a murderer-thief would be pretty damn awful, while in the game it's just good fun. Same with anything else you choose to do with the pixels on the screen, like kinks that don't affect anyone real, so they're okay in fiction, but would be pretty damn bad in real life.
No one else is responsible for your online experience. They are required not to harass you, but they are not and never will be obligated to not post about ships, kinks, or tropes you dislike just to avoid you seeing them. It's up to you to blacklist words or phrases, block tags, or even block users as needed to avoid seeing content that upsets you.
No one can force you to read anything against your consent. Any content you don't like seeing can be instantly avoided by closing out of the offending post/fic.
You are not owed an online experience free of discomfort.
Nothing that happens in your imagination can ever make you a bad person. Words you write or read about fictional characters will never make you a bad person.
The claim that media consumption influences real-life behavior is intellectually dishonest and serves only to excuse the behavior of real offenders.
Fiction is a safe way to explore horrifying or confusing concepts. Therapists agree that fiction, even (or especially) about taboo topics is a good coping mechanism, especially, but not exclusively, for trauma survivors. Fiction is to adults what play therapy is to children. This doesn't stop being true if the work in question is of a sexual nature.
Sex isn't an inherently worse or better motivation than anything else. A work written to create feelings of arousal isn't dirty, shameful, or in any way less pure than works written to entertain, provoke moral questions, or for other reasons. And worth noting is that multiple purposes can exist in the same story, especially fanfiction.
You aren't entitled to an explanation for why someone reads, writes, or otherwise enjoys certain works, kinks, tropes, ships, etc.

i feel like nobody has NOTPs anymore. like if you hate a ship now it has to be for some deep moral reason and you have to justify it to everyone what happened to just not liking stuff that isnt inherently bad but just because you personally think it sucks

I'm a fandom oldie and a strong proponent of "ship and let ship", and I defend everyone else's right to ship what they love... But I think that gives people the idea that I like, automatically love every single ship??? Or every single trope?
I don't though!
There are a lot of fandom tropes that are on my "absolutely fuck no" list. There are a lot of irk kinks that are also on my "nope absolutely not" list, too. Personally, this is healthy. I'm able to look at something and go "Yep, I hate it, but it's not harming anyone, so continue to do as you please."

Not As Planned, But Better (explicit edition)
So...this was done as funsies. I made an alternate ending edit to my Valentine's Suzu/Kisa fic that is very NOT T-rated. I am still undecided if it should be posed to AO3, so it's exclusive to Tumblr for the time being.
Enjoy, all 3 of us Suzu/Kisa fans <3
“Oh no.”
They both stood, forlorn, before the quiet station as they watched the last train depart and with it their way home. A cold wind rubbed salt in the wound, and Suzu pulled her close, shielding her as much as he was hugging her.
“What do we do now?”
They'd come out here at her suggestion. She'd learned about a cute spot that would be a fun place to go for Valentine's; it was a little ways away from Tamasaka, with enough distance they didn't have to hide their relationship but close enough they could make it back to Univeil the same day. They'd go and spend the day together, have a nice dinner, and on the way home she'd present the pound cake she made for him. It was a cute, simple and sweet plan.
That was, if they made the last train.
“If we catch first train,” she said slowly, mind whirring as she leaned into him, “we should get back in time for class.” As one they glanced over at the timetable. First train was at 5:30am, more than six hours away. “Ah…”
Suzu hugged her closer and set his chin on the top of her head. “I think I saw a Jankara a few blocks down.” Kisa tilted her head back against his chest and he planted an over-the-top kiss on her forehead. “Sounds like a fun end to a fun day.”
“Mmm, yeah. Let's do that!”
They found the karaoke parlor easily enough, and rushed inside while rubbing their hands together to keep warm. “Waaah it got cold,” Suzu boomed, and Kisa caught the staff smiling at his antics. He did a little shake just inside the door before approaching the desk to pay for a room; Kisa followed behind, very aware of the small gift sitting at the bottom of the messenger bag slung across her shoulder as she noticed the clock: eleven pm. “Oh, shoot.” Suzu's voice pulled her attention as he stood at the counter, looking at her nervously. “Tachibana, we might have a problem.”
“What's wrong, Suzu-kun?”
He pointed at the hours listed on the counter. “They close at 1…”
“We're very sorry for the inconvenience,” the receptionist said politely with a small bow.
“No no, you're fine,” Suzu quickly assured her, but Kisa didn't miss the worry that flashed in his eyes. “Tachibana, you still in? We'll figure something out after.”
“Yeah!”
The clerk led them to their room, and returned with some tea just as they settled in. Kisa held the warm cup in her hands and sighed happily. “Ahh, that feels good.”
“Hehe, yeah.” Suzu glanced at her and then scooted close enough their shoulders touched. “So does this.”
Kisa nudged him playfully, careful of the tea they both held, and he grinned big and bright. They sat in comfortable silence as they sipped their tea, until Suzu suddenly picked up the song book and opened it before them.
“All right! Let's sing!”
The two hours passed quickly, between the singing, the karaage they ordered, and Kisa finding any chance to be as close to Suzu as possible. They missed a few songs when a light, playful peck on the cheek turned into something deeper; a long kiss, hands tangled in hair. They were definitely making up for a year of suppressed feelings and furtive glances. When the call from the front desk came through ten minutes to one o’clock they were both flushed and smiling.
“Ahh, that was fun!” Suzu tossed on his jacket and backpack, and helped gather the mics and dishware together in bundles. There was a shine to his eyes despite the tiredness she was sure they both felt. “Oh, but we didn't look into where we could hang out until–” he yawned suddenly. “Ah, sorry. Until first train.”
“Actually…” Kisa pulled out her phone. “I did find a place close by when you went to the bathroom, but…” She held the phone so he could see the screen. Suzu stared blankly for a long moment before his cheeks burned bright red and his eyes widened. “J-just to rest!” she assured quickly and pulled her phone back.
Suzu was silent for a long moment before he suddenly slapped his face with both hands and Kisa jumped in surprise. His blush wasn't completely gone, but at least he didn't look so overwhelmed anymore when he pulled his hands away. “Sorry about that. It's a good idea, Tachibana. Let's do it.”
Outside felt extra cold after their time in the karaoke parlor, and Kisa sidled up beside Suzu as they made their way to their destination a few blocks away. Her fingers brushed the back of his hand, and he instantly twined his fingers with hers. His palm was warm and a little sweaty, and his thumb ran gentle circles along her wrist.
“Ah, here it is.”
They stood in front of the love hotel ten minutes later, staring up hand-in-hand at the rather nondescript exterior.
“I always thought they'd be flashier,” Suzu said after a moment.
“Maybe they are in bigger cities?” Kisa glanced at the placard on the wall. “It's not too expensive for a few hours.”
“Yeah,” Suzu agreed without looking, his eyes glued to the door. Neither of them moved for a long moment until Kisa finally squeezed his hand and stepped forward.
Their room wasn't very big; they'd opted for the cheapest one with a comfortable-looking bed. Kisa set down her bag on the lone chair in the room and shrugged off her coat as Suzu did a quick check of the room.
“I can take the chair,” he said as he finally took off his coat and backpack. He looked mildly flushed, although that could just be aftereffects of the cold air.
“Oh. Um…” Kisa fidgeted a bit from where she sat on the edge of the bed. She hadn't suggested a love hotel for any reason other than convenience, so what he said made sense, especially after those heated moments in the Jankara, but it felt so very lonely, too. A pain she couldn't quite understand weighed in her heart as she glanced at her messenger bag so close to him, the present she'd prepared waiting patiently inside.
“Tachibana?” Suddenly Suzu was knelt in front of her. “Sorry, did I say something wrong?!” He scratched the back of his head, and he was definitely blushing this time. “I mean, I'm not not interested–”
“It's not that!” she interrupted quickly, although that weight did dissipate at his words, replaced by a squiggly warm feeling low in her belly. “I mean, me too, but–”
“Wait, really?!”
“It's just– Ah, um, yes?” Suzu's face was very close to hers now, and she flashed back to their first meeting. Then, the butterflies had been from fear of being found out on her first day, but now she was hyper aware of the way his bangs rested against his forehead, the bright shine in his eyes, the soft lips– Enough of that! she berated herself. Those thoughts were dangerous. “I…”
“Wah–, sorry!” He backed up just a bit. “Didn't mean to crowd you…”
She laughed softly and he smiled. “You didn't.” Kisa reached out and ruffled his hair playfully. Maybe it was from being awake almost an entire day, but she couldn't stop the words from tumbling out. “I like it, actually. Being close. I'll never push you away.” Well. That was out of the bag, so she might as well press on. “And I really liked what we did at karaoke. So I don't mind sharing the bed. It's only for a few hours anyway, and– Pfft, Suzu-kun.”
He looked like the happiest puppy knelt in front of her, clasping her hands with a big, goofy grin on his blushing face. She could practically see the tail wagging behind him. Kisa giggled and leaned forward to rest her forehead against his. “So, I'd like you to join me… oh, wait.” She pointed at her bag. “Can you bring that over first?”
“Huh? Uh, yeah!” He crossed the small room to grab her messenger bag and plopped it beside her before taking the spot on her other side. The mattress dipped under his weight and she slid towards him just enough that their thighs touched. “Whatcha got?”
Kisa pulled out the small wrapped bundle and held it out. “I meant to give you this when we got back. I actually had it timed out perfectly for midnight, but…” He took it from her and opened it, and she studied his face closely. “Is it okay? I woke up super early to make it because we'd be out all day, so it's not very fresh, but–”
Suzu tackled her backwards onto the comforter, his arms warm and tight as he hugged her, the little wrapped pound cake lying beside them. Kisa clung to his shirt, bunching the fabric between her fingers as she pressed her face into his shoulder.
“Ah, sorry,” he muttered a few moments later, although he didn't loosen his grip and neither did she. “Hehehe. I love you! You're the best, Tachibana.”
She nuzzled his shoulder, that uncomfortable weight gone. “It's a bit late at night for it now though, sorry…”
“It'll be breakfast!” He loosened his grip enough that he could look at her. “The absolute best breakfast ever!” His face was so close their noses almost touched. “Thanks, Tachibana.”
“Happy Valentine's Day, Suzu-kun,” she replied, and gave his lips a small peck. He blinked, then grinned, and then kissed her.
She'd realized a long time ago that she enjoyed kissing, especially since they couldn't do so very often. Little captured moments on the roof, or after a late night of practice just weren't enough, but any more was too risky. Their time in the Jankara had been great, but in the seclusion of their room now she could finally, truly enjoy herself without fear.
The bed shifted beneath them as he moved to straddle her, their kisses growing more intense. The charge in the air was different from earlier; Kisa was aware of every heavy breath, the brush of his hair against her skin, the heat low in her belly that grew stronger with every touch they shared.
“Tach–”
”Aahhhnnn~”
They froze as the moan reverberated around them, the neighboring room obviously now occupied. That heat she'd felt only grew worse as another moan seeped through the wall, accompanied by a rhythmic creak from a straining bed.
“Tachibana…?” Suzu whispered against her lips, breath heavy.
“As long as we don't go too far,” she said thickly, hands slipping under his shirt. The air was boiling around them.
“Not…too far…” he repeated, lips moving against hers, his tongue slipping into her mouth before pulling away to help her remove his shirt.
Kisa stared at his naked chest above her; Suzu was strong and athletic, well-built compared to her small frame. She traced his arms with her hands, fingers following the lines of his muscles before she lifted herself up enough to kiss his collarbone. She could taste the sweat on his skin, smell his soap and that scent that was just him.
Suzu shivered and lowered himself closer, supported on one arm as he used the other to play with the hem of her shirt. Kisa kissed from his collarbone up to his neck, tasting every inch she could.
Another moan sounded from the adjacent room, loud and keening, and Suzu nearly dug his fingers into her side as he gripped her hips and gasped into her ear. The bulge in his pants pressed against her thigh, and Kisa's stomach flipped at what that meant. He wanted her, as much as she did him. She breathed against his neck, mouth open, and tentatively rubbed her thigh against his erection.
Suzu moaned in her ear and jerked his hips before stopping himself. “That's not…too far, right?” Kisa asked, lips brushing his sweaty skin. They were clothed, after all. Right?
“Y-yeah,” he said. His fingers played with the hem of her shirt again before he slid his hand up to rest against her stomach. Kisa shivered excitedly and kissed his pulse, her thigh moving slowly back and forth. Suzu nibbled at her ear and slowly ran his fingers up her belly to her bindings. “Augh, it's in the way,” he grumbled, and Kisa laughed.
“Here.” She nudged him to sit back so she could sit up and pull her shirt over her head. Her hair stuck to her face and neck, sticky with sweat, and Suzu gently brushed the strands away. His gaze stopped her, his eyes so full of love and desire her breath caught.
He kissed her forehead while slowly undoing her bindings, his lips trailing down to her eyelids, cheeks, jaw, and neck. When the strips fell away he paused, his breath hot on her skin, and then kissed her breasts; first left, then right, before pushing her down.
Suzu settled himself between her legs, his hands cupped under her shoulders as he supported himself on his forearms so he didn't crush her. His weight on her could have been frightening but she clung to him, safe and secure in his arms. His breath was warm and wet on her breast as he panted just above her nipple, and then his tongue flicked out to taste her. Kisa gasped and he smiled before continuing, his lips never far behind his tongue as he licked and sucked and kissed a trail from her breasts down to her stomach.
“Not…too far, right?” He asked against her skin, and slid one hand down her back and side until he found the button of her pants and carefully unhooked it. Kisa wriggled beneath him, mind a haze as she helped him strip her pants, leaving her in soaked undies. Suzu swallowed thickly, glanced at her flushed face and sweat-darkened hair, pulled down her underwear and kissed her.
Kisa arched up off the bed as his tongue slipped inside her, not even caring if their neighbors heard the noises she made. Her hands scrabbled at his shoulders until she found purchase in his hair, feeling every move of his jaw as he ate her out, her little gasps and whimpers filling the silence around them. He hooked her legs over his shoulders, and her eyes widened when he slipped a finger into her, pumping in and out as he lapped at the little nub inside her. It didn't take long before the knot that had been building low in her tummy released, and she cried out as she came, toes curling as Suzu's mouth worked against her core until she settled down.
He didn't move until her whimpers calmed down, and even then he simply rested his chin on her stomach and grinned at her. Kisa let her legs relax against his shoulders and carded her fingers through his hair. That was…
“You make cute sounds,” he finally said, his thumbs rubbing small circles against her shoulder and hip where he held her.
“Hah…” She let her legs slowly fall to his sides and trailed her hands along his upper back. “I want to hear yours.” Kisa didn't give him a chance to reply before she bucked her hips enough to startle him away so she could shimmy down the bed enough to reach his belt. She undid the buckle and slid his pants and underwear down his thighs in one big motion, freeing his dick. Suzu sucked in a breath and froze as she wrapped her fingers around him. “Does it always get this big?”
“Haaa,” he half laughed, half moaned as she slid her hand up and down his shaft. Sweat coated his skin, his hair stuck to his face and neck as he gasped and bucked his hips against her hand. “Harder.” She did as instructed and he pressed his forehead against her shoulder and shuddered. “That feels…really good, Tachibana.”
Her chest swelled with pride at that, and she kissed the top of his ear. His hair stuck to her cheek, and there was a heavy scent mixed with his familiar one that she could only recognize as sex. Her stomach flipped pleasantly at the realization.
Suzu suddenly surged against her, surprising her enough she released him. He panted against her shoulder, breaths loud and heavy in her ear. “You should stop,” he managed with difficulty. “I'm gonna…”
“I want you to,” she whispered into his hair, and adjusted his dick so his shaft rubbed against her entrance. Even she wasn't so far gone to realize how risky they were being without protection, so this was the next best thing. She was still wet, and his skin glistened as she urged him to move up and down, her hand rubbing along his erection at the same time he slid along her folds. He started slow, but soon picked up speed until he eventually grabbed her hand and pinned it against the bed near her head, teeth grinding in her ear as he thrust against her at a maddening pace. A moment later something warm and sticky spurted onto her belly at the same time he cried out, shuddering above her as Kisa realized he just came.
Suzu collapsed beside her, chest heaving with heavy breaths, her hand still held tight in his against the comforter. He smiled at her with a hazy, dreamy look that she was sure she returned. This was not how she'd imagined their first night together to go, but she didn't regret it. Although, could it even be considered a first night if he hadn't actually been inside her? Her thoughts tumbled over themselves until Suzu quickly rolled off the bed and lifted her in his arms.
“Suzu-kun?!”
He carried her into the bathroom and set her down in the shower, closing the curtain behind them. The water was ice cold when he first turned it on and they both shrieked in surprise, but it warmed up quickly.
“Turn around,” he finally said once the water was good and hot, a cloth in one hand a soap in the other. “We don't want to smell like sex on the train, right?”
Why, she thought as she turned around, cheeks flaming, does that embarrass me after everything that just happened? Suzu ran the soapy cloth gently over her body without any hints of lust, and her chest tightened. Such a simple, caring act felt so full of love it stole her breath.
“Front side now,” he said, and she could hear the smile in his voice as she faced him and he oh so gently washed the sweat and fluids off her. When he finished he leaned down to press a chaste kiss against her lips.
“Your turn.” She took the cloth from him and soaped up his chest. He grinned down at her, a haze slowly overtaking his eyes as he relaxed at her touch, following her commands with the lazy ease of someone half asleep. Kisa felt her own crash coming as the adrenaline faded and the weight of a long, full day hit her. They finished their shower with less than two hours left before their time was up, and they both collapsed onto the bed without even drying their hair.
“I've got an alarm set,” Suzu said sleepily as he curled around her, nuzzling his nose into her damp hair. “We can doze on the train, too.”
“Mm.” She snuggled into him, face pressed against his collarbone. He might have said something else but his words were slow and jumbled to her tired ears. Her entire world in that moment was his broad, firm chest and comforting scent.
“Love you.”
That was the last thing she remembered before falling into peaceful sleep.
“Tachibana. Orimaki. You both look awful.”
Shirota glared at them as they entered the practice room. Suzu had large bags under his eyes and Kisa knew she didn't look any better. Somehow they'd managed some sleep between the love hotel and the train ride back, and they'd arrived in time to change, wash their faces, and run to first class.
“Sorry, Shirota-senpai,” she apologized, and Suzu bowed his head as well. Shirota sighed.
“Your habit of staying up late to practice is commendable, but if you don't rest your body will suffer. Get some proper sleep tonight.”
“Yes!” they said in unison, and grinned at each other as Shirota called everyone together to begin their rehearsal.

Not As Planned, But Better
Happy Valentine's Day, Suzu and Kisa!
https://archiveofourown.org/works/63062890
Fun fact. This was very loosely inspired by a true event. I was out with two other friends and we missed the last train, and we all wondered what a love hotel was like, but they didn't let three women stay together so we couldn't experience it, so we just sang karaoke until first train. ^^;

So, I started Jack Jeanne and the brainrot for Suzu set in at mach 5. I love this himbo sweet boy so much he actually kickstarted my muse again (I hope, oh please). I'm not confident in his voice though, but here's a WIP I started of a little vignette set between his third event and the Fall Performance.
Hoping I can finish this and feel brave enough to post it to my AO3 someday! ...I'm hoping there's an AO3 for JJ cause I'ma need sustenance even when I'm done, I just know it. I'm still on the common route!! I am not prepared for what's to come...
Vague spoilers up to the Fall Performance and Suzu's events.
Suzu fell back into the soft, cool grass with a sigh, the setting sun casting long shadows around them on the Quartz rooftop. Tachibana fell back beside him, his own sigh more like an oomph as he hit the ground just a bit too quickly.
“Ahh… It's just not connecting.”
Suzu glanced over as his friend raised a hand as though trying to grab the clouds. Tachibana frowned and let his hand fall back to earth between them, and Suzu nudged his friend's shoulder with his own.
“We'll get it.” He hoped he sounded more confident than he felt. Jean Jose… Who exactly was Jean Jose? He could feel it just beyond his reach, but the character was distorted and kept escaping every time he felt close enough to grab him. And with everything happening with Yonaga…
“Yeah!” Tachibana turned his head to smile at Suzu, and something sharp tightened in his chest, drawing his attention fully to his friend. He'd felt the same before when Tachibana stopped by his room, but this time it persisted, more intense and demanding than ever.
What am I doing? Tachibana was his friend! But Suzu couldn't erase the image of him in the bath, or how small and soft Tachibana felt when he hugged him the other day. I…
He felt something delicate and thin, and jolted with a start. His hand must have shifted when he nudged his friend's shoulder, and his fingers brushed against Tachibana’s in the grass. His hand was so small beside his own, pale and smooth, almost like a gi–
Suzu quickly sat up and pretended to brush grass out of his hair. “Aahhh I can't rest too much or I'll fall farther behind! Tachibana!” He grinned through the confusion that left him dizzy, exuding every ounce of confidence he had. “Let's go again!”
Tachibana rolled up to his feet, his cheeks flushed for some reason but grinning. “Yeah!”

Dear person in my notes who is saying I shouldn't be mad at people who didn't vote harris bc the ppl who voted independent wouldn't tip the scales:
I AM NOT MAD ABOUT INDEPENDENTS TBQH. Independents got a shockingly low percentage of the vote this year tbh, they are not the issue here.
The issue here is EVERYONE WHO COULD'VE VOTED BUT DIDN'T. Because here's the thing, Trump got about 2 million FEWER votes than last time. But he still won, because of how few democratic/leftist voters SHOWED THE FUCK UP.
What I'm mad about is the fact that Biden won HANDILY in 2020, but this year despite winning TWO MILLION LESS VOTES, Trump won solidly within the day. Which means that FEWER FUCKING VOTERS TURNED OUT.
i give negative shits about the independent votes at this point. I blame every abstaining voter who COULD have voted in this election. You are ALL on the line for the bullshit trump pulls in the next 4+ years.

Virche complete
Oh man, this was a loooong wild ride. I did a play-along with my sister, and since we have limited time we could only do short sessions once or twice a week. But we have finally finished, and I have made my tier list! There were definitely some surprises in here!
Let's see how these boys held up! Rankings below the cut, lowest to highest~
Tumblr media
Here we are! I did make a change to one of the lists because it -was- a bit mean-spirited and didn't quite convey how I actually felt.
Mathis - This boy is simply adorable, but from the get-go all sis and I wanted to do was feed him cookies and dote on him. He's a sweet little brother who had some good moments but overall just did not do it for us. His scene on the beach did get to me though.
Scien: An actual surprise! He was firmly in Great Character, no LI Feels until his Salvation end when he got shunted up into Hot Mess. I loved his route, I loved his character, but I didn't feel a shred of romance from him until his Salvation end. Kudos though for having some of the best CGs and just being topless for a solid portion of his route. His was the first to make me outright sob though. Was NOT expecting everything that went down in the orphanage... :(
Adolphe: Such a good boy, excellent big brother. Le Salut was definitely absolutely the highlight route and he shone so bright. The romance was great, his silent longing for Ceres just gutted me. Wonderful man.
Lucas: I thought he would be my favorite, and he is still extremely high up. He's so beautifully tragic (and beautiful, I mean, look at him). His Salvation end was the most raw, gut-wrenching pain (only Ankou's bouquet comes close and they are rough in different ways). Just absolute peak beautiful despair, I didn't even care how absurd it was he could even move by that time.
Yves: Another surprise. I thought he'd just be a good good boy but ohmygosh he's perfect? He's everything I want - good boy, but with depth and hidden pain, scarred, honest. Just...everything. If you mix him and Ankou (with a dash of Lucas) you basically get Orlok and I am 10000% here for that. Him going Joel on Arpechele to save Ceres was perfect.
Ankou: This man comes closest to Orlok in owning my heart in a way no other man has achieved. He is just...everything. Tragic, beautiful, devoted! To go to the lengths he went to for the love of one woman...! He hits so many tropes I love. I cannot overstate the absolute devotion of this man. Peak romance. Just absolute perfection. WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?!

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:
you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.
a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

The rise in neo puritanism is concerning. It's fine to side-eye questionable shit (hi it's me, I enjoy questionable shit) but to wholesale claim it isn't allowed or you should be harassed for it is deeply troubling. Block/mute exist for a reason. Moral policing gets fandom nowhere.
I know this isn't new to fandom (hi, I'm old) but it feels different now than it did when journal sites and forums were fandom mainstays. Maybe that's just luck or perspective but it feels like there's "correct" and "incorrect" fandom nowadays as opposed to pools of fan opinion.

I used a bit of headcanon for this, so I hope it turned out okay. I barely made the deadline of his birthday, too, despite working on this for months. It fought me a lot so I'm a little unsure, but dammit I need to offer something for our best boy for his birthday.
