Today's study and self care 🩷🩷

I did some Chinese calligraphy at home (with my cat helping), then went to the local library to do some math homework. I went to a bakery for lunch and then went home to write some physics notes.

Life recently 💜💜

A bit of study, a bit of self care, and flowers from my choir performance the other night. It was my first time conducting - and I was placed second as conductor and second placed choir overall!

Now it's winter break and I'm making the most of the time off!

Middle of my academic year, so I'm doing lots of past exam papers to test my knowledge. Some tips for using past papers as revision:

Use the answers to annotate in a different coloured pen, and keep in a file to revise anything you're likely to forget in the actual exam

Practice under actual exam conditions. If the exam is two hours long, use two hours to do the exam. If you don't finish in time, work on your speed in answering the questions

Make a cheat sheet including any questions that come up regularly. This will mean you know what to expect and can answer some easy questions straight away

Hi! I'm Rhiannon, a high school student from NZ 🇳🇿

This year I'm studying chemistry, physics, calculus, geography, and Mandarin Chinese. You'll see a bit of everything here!

In my spare time, I play the violin, go on nature walks, bake, and enjoy watching sci-fi movies and TV.

Next year, I hope to study physics at university. I've already received conditional offers from two universities - I just have to decide where I want to go.

I've spent the last two days doing a Chemistry investigation at the local university. It has been such an amazing experience - I felt like a real scientist!

Some physics notes. It's practical assessment season (I have two in the next week), so I'm really focussing on accuracy and processing uncertainties in my data.
