I’m still absolutely shocked and appalled by the shooting at Pulse, an LGBT nightclub. 50 dead, 53 injured, this has been the most fatal mass shooting in America to date. I’m ashamed of my country’s refusal to take action to prevent these attacks, I’m hurt by the hatred the shooter had for my community and the violence that came from it. I worry for the safety of my friends, my fiance and myself as Pride month continues, I mourn the loss of the 50 beautiful souls lost to this violent hate crime and hope for a swift recovery for those who survived. 

Pride always has been a powerful political statement. It takes courage to stand in the open and proudly display who we are. I hope our community will continue to be brave and stand tall in the face of this tragedy. We are who we are and no amount of fear mongering or bullets will ever stop our love or change us. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. May we all heal and grow stronger from this tragedy.  @synfulmodeling
