there is so much in Epic that isn't mythologically accurate (Aeolus's island being in the sky, the sirens not being birds, Odysseus not arriving back on Ithaca and interacting with the suitors in disguise, etc.) and people don't have a problem with it. they treat Epic as its own canon and story. but the minute you start to look at how Calypso and Odysseus interact in Epic specifically, people will suddenly remember there's source material and bring up stuff we don't have concrete evidence she did in the musical
