Micah caught in 4k having a cute horse guy moment, once again.

This is just as they're hitching up outside the Adler Ranch. It's fascinating finding all these tiny little details when I'm doing recordings of play-throughs.

Yet the man still can't beat the "he abuses Baylock" allegations from the fandom.

About Micah’s most prized possessions

You liked the last one so I’m going to give you a little treat.

More personality analyses? Kind of, I guess.

Micah doesn’t have much in the matter of possessions, doesn’t keep much, but the few things he keeps are expensive. They’re fancy. And he probably clings onto them even while he’s on a sinking ship as if they matter more than his life. And to him, they probably do matter more.

Micah may be a impulsive person, but when it comes to his possessions he takes good care of them.

He obviously loves his horse, Baylock. A Missouri Fox Trotter. One of the most expensive horse breeds in the game. A gaited breed, comfortable in the long run, fast, strong, fancy.

As incapable of love as I believe Micah to be, I don’t think he’s above bonding with his horse. His horse is there when he needs him. He doesn’t complain about him, might just be the only living being that doesn’t hate on him (aside from Dutch, and except maybe when Baylock has to run through yet another storm of bullets).

I think, in a way, Micah does love Baylock, in the same way that he loves his DA revolvers.

As I said, he takes care of his possessions, he’s not above giving Baylock a pat every now and then*. When a horse doesn’t like you, it’s very much capable of showing you that it does not like you. Baylock likes Micah, which means that Micah is NOT abusing him (and I think everyone who does claim that just wants to dehumanise Micah and villainise him further than reasonable).

At camp, Micah rarely interacts with anyone unless he picks on their insecurities (no doubt somewhat of an attention seeking action) or wants to get a job done. He’s usually found at the outskirts, excluding chapter 6, not really all that talkactive. The one thing he does a lot is sit on a crate and clean his guns.

He takes care of his guns and he’s meticulously about it. There’s something special about his guns. They’re fully customised, probably one of the most customised weapons in the entire game, more customised than other weapons you can “steal”.

I want to write up some theories about the carvings along the barrel of his guns, might post right after this one.

*evidently he’s not above abusing an animal either but I think that is a dog-specific issue and he might just have a phobia that he’s in denial about

So a little while ago I saw a post by @fru-89 of wooden rdr horses they made, and I thought they were so cute that I wanted to make my own mini wooden Baylock! I made mine into a little wheely-pull toy because those have always looked adorable to me.

It was my first time making something like this, and I’m so happy with how the little fella turned out! The wheels run nice and smooth and the twine harness/bridle holds up nicely!

This little hell-horse has my heart, and the little wood version is fun to fool with!
