Voxx said not to mess with the Void gates. Starting them prematurely or improperly can cause them to go on the fritz, send you somewhere you don’t want to be. It’s old Orokin technology, who knows where it’d send you if you didn’t correctly input the target location.
Patel... Never listens.
The girl awoke dazed and confused. The ground felt C O L D and hard but... Not like metal, it felt like... Rock? She pushed herself up weakly, glancing around. Where... Where was she?
This place didn’t look like anything she’s ever seen before in the Origin System. Concrete walkways, stone buildings... She’s heard of old civilizations before, is... This it?
Did she just get sent back in time?!
The young Tenno, only eleven years old, stood among a crowd of New Yorkers. They didn’t pay her much mind yet she was absolutely terrified. Alone and terrified. Transference didn’t work but, a quick burst of her amp and she realized she could still use her void powers but... They were QUICKLY dwindling. Is it because she’s out of contact of the Void?Would that make it so she wouldn’t be able to come back to... Oh god, she was stranded.
Quickly panicking, the girl bumped into the first person she saw, visibly distressed.

Her skin crawled as she walked through the moon lit streets of Hanamura. Where neon lights and street signs would offer guidance, there was nothing but a dark, desolate side street which nobody used anymore. An alleyway if you will, after all. People tend to get antsy whenever she showed her face around town.
She was an infamous icon, a child assassin who worked for one of two largely lethal yakuzas, the latter being the Hagiwara clan as opposed to the notorious Shimadas. Yet with all this negative connotation attached to her name, not anyone would know or hear of the good she did for Blackwatch.
It’s been years since she thought about the organization she could gingerly call ‘family’, they were all nice to her, sure. Well perhaps not nice. They showed respect. They respected each other. However Hibiki appreciated it, how they left her to her silence and reclusiveness. Though sometimes she regretting not befriending those who were around her. And apologizing to those who she knew.
Her footsteps halted to a soft stop as she stood in the midst of puddles and moss. Looking over her shoulder slightly, she could see a dark figure looming just behind a fork in the way.

It was always a dangerous double edged sword for the Frame. Bearing Corpus marking in the vicinity of other Tenno, it was like a death sentence. She was quite open about her alignment when it came to the fact she was a defector TRAITOR, yet she didn’t seem to show any fear at the potential of her body being torn to shreds.
The Mag stood fast as she intercepted a Lotus transmission- or more so, Ergo did as she was en-route to the location. Something about LOST Corpus caches, she had two options: Take the caches back to Ergo so the Perrin Sequence can reverse engineer whatever’s inside, or return the caches to the Board and make an extra buck.
Setting foot onto the vacant Stanchion, Voxx immediately noticed the presence of another Tenno. As if the opened lockers and scattered resource shards didn’t give it away. She stepped carefully, surveying the area with her Secura Penta before stopping short of the next room, idling by the doorway. Before her was indeed another Tenno, quite a dangerous one at that. She never did too well against toxin damage. Hopefully they’re friendly and don’t immediately notice her greed-threaded colors.

The mission the two were set too was over as quickly as they started. A simple capture mission, that Grineer didn’t stand a chance and neither did the lancers and ballistas and what have yous. However quite unusually, was their Liset not present at the evac point.
Rarely was Exol ever late to a rendevous, she was always so punctual when it comes to timing as well as answering her operators. Yet, why did she not answer after Voxx repeatedly tried to contact her ship?!
Tumblr media
❝ Exol- we are requesting immediate evac, our mission is done here we’d like to go. Exol? ❞
Voxx’s voice reverberated against the front of her helm, a metal tinge to each syllable as she tried to contact the Cephalon. Rarely did the frame use her real voice rather than the telepathy she possessed, but telepathy didn’t quite translate well through comm lines.
Radio silence was all she got and again did she request another evac. No response. Where the hell was Exol?!
Voxx hissed to herself, looking down at the young child that held to her side. Patel. Her operator. Or well, more or less the void child who was supposed to be her operator hadn’t been for the fact Voxx was sentient. She had to think, they couldn’t just sit here forever, before they know it they’ll be overran by Grineer. They needed to get out as soon as possible. Another annoyed huff left the frame as she switched the frequency on her commlink
Tumblr media
❝ This is Voxx, I am stranded on Rusalka, Sedna. Requesting immediate evac from any Tenno or Cephalon ship in the area. I repeat, my name is Voxx and I am stranded on Rusalka, Sedna. I am accompanied by a child who is in need of evacuation, please if anyone can hear us, send help. ❞
Now all they had to do was wait.

Hibiki blinked idly as she looked at the masked assailant. Assassin they called her? Hibiki snickered slightly, a smirk prevalent on their features.
Tumblr media
❝ I’m sorry to tell you. but I believe you are chasing a ghost of the past. I no longer work for the yakuza nor do I do assassinations. I’ve already done my time for the crime so if you could please let me go back to my grocery list, that’d be most appreciated. ❞
Well, it was kind of a lie. Of course she still did assassinations, but it wasn’t exactly on innocent people. She killed those who deserved it, such as murderers, mafia, and thieves. In that sense, it wouldn’t be called a crime can it? - @hcroworth

Overwatch. Where would she begin to describe Overwatch. Well for starters she was a part of the Blackwatch division. Blackwatch was weird, with a name like that she thought she’d be surrounded by hardened soldiers and criminals. More so than herself, but really she was surrounded by many people who were lost. Not in the sense that they didn’t know what to do, more in the sense that they took their lives the wrong way. Such as herself. If it weren’t for Blackwatch, she’d probably still be killing innocent people for blood money.
But no amount of sense of family and friendliness could break her hard shell. It was hard to undo years of conditioning since she was a mere child. She was cold, reclusive. Avoidant. Quiet. Every sense of the word ‘introverted’. She wasn’t one for conversation, she couldn’t keep one going if she tried. Yet people still tried to talk to her, she could appreciate a sense of belonging at least.
Due to her quiet nature, it was obvious she would try and find any quiet place on the watch point. Though it proved harder than she thought, on mission down time many agents found themselves gathered in common rooms and the kitchen and what not, chatting away and doing god knows what. Her however, she just wanted a quiet plus to read her book. Her rooms gotten too stuffy for her liking lately.
Heading towards what seemed to be an empty lounge, she only stopped when she noticed the tinged blue uniform as well as orange and white logo on the other’s clothes. Ah, an Overwatch operative. Their uniforms contrasted very heavily with Hibiki’s black, white and red uniform. Stepping to the side slightly, she looked the other up and down. It took a full minute before her cognitive memory kicked into gear.

It was another bright summer day in Hanamura. The distant sound of children playing was always a good sign. It reminded everyone that there was still a little hope, a little peace among the city despite how somber the years have become. Tax payer dollars going towards fixing damages dealt by the looming Omnic threat. Day by day husbands and sons are pulled away from families to aid in the ultimate counterattack against the Omnics. But they can’t lose hope. They had to make this world better. If not for them, then the children.
Children were always so oblivious to the outer world. They cared about nothing but themselves and what they were doing. Grownup business was never a concern for them. That fell similarly to Hibiki and her twin brother Kaseru. The two were inseparable, playing hand in hand at the small local playground. There were some mothers supervising children, making sure they didn’t get hurt or hurt each other. Hibiki was much more timid than most kids her age, while most were bustling social butterflies, she all but hid behind her brother at the mere thought of being approached by another child.
It wasn’t until towards the afternoon that her brother decided to run home for lunch, completely leaving his sister out of the loop. Noon was always lunch time but children tended to have terrible internal clocks. They seemed to be quite forgetful as well.
Glancing up from the sandbox she played in, she looked around to see the familiar black haired kid gone. Hibiki started to grow anxious, glancing around and nearly on the brink of tears.
Her watering eyes glanced over to see a boy looming over her. Was she taking up all the space in the sandbox? She glanced down quickly, curling up to make herself seem smaller.

The young recruit sat alone. The room was cold and devoid of all sense of life. It felt suffocating really, having to sit still and on edge like a cat dipped in water. Like a bird being stalked by it’s hunter.
She was going to be evaluated.
This was the same room they bought her the month before for questioning, questioning about the Shimadas, about her own Yakuza, about her background. All of which she stubbornly refused to answer. Now, now the room felt a lot of uncomfortable than that.
She’s grown to like Blackwatch, at least a bit. People treated her respect, didn’t yell at her or discipline her too harshly. They actually... Appreciated her.
And this evaluation will decide whether she gets to keep that or not.
Of course Morrison had his doubts about her, they caught her mid assassination at Hanamura, he doubted she could even be convinced to fight for their cause. It’s the reason she requires an evaluation in the first place, to see if she is fit to work in Blackwatch. To analyze whether or not she’d be a threat to her team.
Hibiki’s eye’s darted to the left slightly, watching the metal door creak open. Her eyes trailed on the taller figure as he walked in the room, silent, carrying a file in hand. Her personal file. It had everything they could recover from records. Her birth certificate, her parents names, her name, her brother’s name. Very basic stuff about an eight year old girl. At the time.
The sixteen year old shifted in her chair as she stared her commander down. She followed orders to a T, did everything she’s told, never strayed on a mission, always kept the objective in sight. She’d even say she was a model operative in Blackwatch, as opposed to the bumbling idiots she has to work with.

She was never good around children, well, technically speaking she kinda was one still. Well, a teenager. Either way she never dealt with many kids, only adults. Or anyone older than her. So when she was faced with one of the captain’s daughters, she really didn’t know what to do.
The Blackwatch agent glanced to the side slightly, looking for anyone to take the wheel. She wasn’t one to hold a conversation that way. What did kids like to talk about? Murder? Weapons? What their next assassination target is?
She had a very skewed and stunted childhood.

Voxx was quiet as she patrolled the hallways of Neptune’s outpost. The corpus-aligned Warframe was well known across the star system by now. What news wouldn’t travel about a Tenno abandoning the Lotus in the grand scheme of things? She wasn’t gossiped about or anything, but many Corpus spread her existence to each other. At least, they had to. Best not to accidentally shoot their Tenno enforcer thinking they’re a child of the Lotus still.
None the less, she was merely a bodyguard to most Corpus officials. Her expertise was usually employed by Frohd Bek, but on slow days she liked to help keep the outposts free of Grineer harm and Tenno meddling. Grineer, Grineer she despised with every fiber in her being. But Tenno? It was... Complicated.
Though she did betray the Lotus and devoted herself to the Corpus. She couldn’t... Hate, the Tenno. Not in the same way she loathed the Grineer and Infested at least. She was quite indifferent to them really, she didn’t even mind working with them if it means achieving a common goal. So long as they didn’t meddle with Corpus affairs that is.
The frame was beginning to drift off, a whole lot of nothing was pretty boring. But the loud thump of something dropping from the ceiling woke her right up. Gripping the Flux Rifle in her hand, she began surveying the area, keeping still and quiet. No other crewmen or proxies were in the area, shit. She’ll have to deal with this one herself. If anything she could just hit the alarms and draw a swarm to her if she needed back up.

Many Tenno seemed to be in the same boat upon awakening from cryo-stasis. Knowing nothing and only following the voice of the Lotus as their sole purpose of existing. No past or memory to plague your thoughts when you’re too busy tearing through flesh and metal in the name of justice and righteousness.
Voxx normally found herself alone in the Origin System however, no matter how many Tenno there seemed to be. She was always by herself in her missions. Not that she minded of course, she could hold her own in a fight. Especially against Corpus. Grineer and Infested not so much, but at least she could strip Grineer of their primitive armor and Corpus of their simple shield technology.
She glided and slid through the air, her movements quite majestic and gentle for a cold blooded killer. Popping off Corpus helmets and heads left and right. Disabling enemy robots where they stood. However, the Mag Prime paused for a moment, staring at the softly glowing lights of a MOA locker.
She then proceeded to look behind herself at the ten Shockwave MOAs that followed.
Oh well, one more couldn’t hurt.
Quickly hacking the MOA locker, another large orange proxy was dropped out, gathering itself and looking at Voxx like she lead them, which she did. Use the Corpus’s technology against them. However, she froze upon hearing the sounds of vents moving and the soft ‘thump’ of body meeting ground. She looked over to see another Warframe who had dropped from the ceiling, clearly here to help sweep the Corpus ship and exterminate all who’s in it. Well, this is the first time someone’s actually came to join her, for once. However that still didn’t stop the underlying embarrassment of, well, being caught dilly-dallying and gathering an army of bird robots.

It wasn’t very often that Patel actually ever saw other Tenno, well, mostly because her own circumstances were quite more peculiar than that of the average Zariman child.
For starters the way transference worked for her was... Different. Oh it was quite normal when she uses any of her Warframe apparatuses, the only problem however is the one Warframe she used, the one she supposed was her ‘main’, was sentient.
Sentient not as in of Tau origin, but sentient as in she could speak, act and think for herself.
She called herself Voxx and she served for her operator- or more or less acted as Patel’s guardian. There were times where Patel could rear control over Voxx fully but for them it was a dance, shared thoughts, shared words, shared movement. They worked in synchronization, never one more in control than the other. However, often times than not Patel would much rather be in the fight herself than have a Warframe as her proxy. Which lead to a lot of... Interesting, encounters.
The young Patel and her guardian Voxx were on a mission in Sedna, a simple seek and kill, exterminate the population. Easy business, however partway through her mission she overheard the words of the Lotus speak to her, a transmission buzz as familiar as any comfort sound she knows
                                                Tenno reinforcements are coming.
Tenno reinforcements huh? Patel paused as Voxx decided to go ahead and continue slaughtering the dozen of Grineer soldiers that overran the premises.
By the time this ‘Tenno reinforcement’ arrived, Voxx was well into the next floor of the Grineer warship, however Patel being as nice as she was stayed behind to greet her temporary teammate.

The patrolling Warframe stopped dead in her tracks upon noticing a figure. Not many factions existed in the Origin system. There were Corpus, Grineer and Tenno. Well- there were others, but they weren’t exactly humanoid. She couldn’t quite make out who the figure was, but she knew right away they weren’t corpus.
She switched from her Lanka to her Mara Detron, approaching the figure lightly, perhaps they’ll comply easily and leave, Europa isn’t heavily moderated unlike Pluto, so they should be able to take their ship and go if they fly fast enough.
