I really need to mention something about Editblr, but my reach isn't big so I'm pretty much gonna be yapping to myself.

Editblr is really inaccessible. I won't say I'm perfect, I don't think it ever will be but it has gone to a point that it's gotten beyond ridiculous. And to further stress how stupid it is, this is something that not only I have mentioned multiple times, but many other people.

Your blog is your own space to finetune and build around yourself. But your editing blogs are always going to be public. You usually want this to reach as many people as possible. The moment you begin to make it unreadable, incredibly bright, and just overall a nightmare for disabled individuals, you immediately lose a big portion of your target audience. This might not matter to you, and that is INCREDIBLY asshole-y and weird on your behalf to give that little amount of shit towards people who have vision issues when this is meant to be a safe community for all groups.

Please. I am begging you. Dial down on your typing quirks, lower the symbol and font usage, lower the fucking brightness on your edits. At the very least do so when you want people to read or see what it is you wrote or made. Most people don't even bother to add e2rs or image descriptions. Half the time I can't tell what character is even being edited.

If you think that this is rude, that is really too bad. Because for me to have to ask this much that you simply prioritize the visually impaired over stacks of fonts was fucking insane to me as well.

Eu tenho uma tendência muito singular de gostar de músicas em tons mais baixos e sutis, e Astrid trabalha muito bem isso em Great Doubt. É um álbum que tem uma produção quase minimalista e que ganha muita força em seu instrumental.

Falando em instrumental, a falta de vocais em algumas músicas chega a ser quaaase um incômodo, pois me dá a sensação de que faltou um punch, como se você enxergasse uma estrada que deveria seguir até o horizonte mas acaba abruptamente em um penhasco - deveria chegar até o fim, mas não chega.

Ainda assim, é um álbum agradável e que conta histórias interessantes mesmo que suas letras sejam simples e diretas.

Ways your filters can affect a brown character's skin tone, and what to do to avoid making them look strange : Newbie Edition.

First, allow me to explain my guide. Both images are cut in half, one affected by the colors, one unaffected. The right images will be greyscale, so you can see the differences in their skin tone. The right half of both of the images are unaffected, the left one has the coloring.

Today we discuss soft lights and overlays with colors. Later, we will discuss using soft lights and overlays using actual images / texturing. This guide is only mostly relevant to ibis paint users.

The filters on these are soft light (left) and overlay (right) at 100% opacity for #66abc7. Soft Lights are not aggressive with their coloring, Overlays absolutely are. You should be careful to not only not whitewash them, but also make sure that they are still recognizable as a brown / dark skinned character.

How to avoid this issue : Lower the opacity of the filter, change the color to be less saturated.

Left - Soft Light (Color : #598799), Right - Overlay (Opacity : 25%).

Some notes : When an Overlay filter is more translucent, it mimics the effects of a Soft Light. They are essentially the same filter, one is simply more vigorous. General note of thumb, blue-washing is really easy to do, which is why blue in general is not a recommended color to edit with for brown / dark skinned characters.

When using this guide, only implement these tactics if necessary after you have finished or created a general idea for your PSD or coloring. It will be too difficult to do it beforehand. Another reminder, if your coloring is not intended to be shared, and / or only meant to be used on your own edits for a pale skinned character, this guide is irrelevant.

@ kiluya (prev theleverethiding) - nice color usage and makes lovely edits, a really big inspo for me in general

@ boyribbon - a truly underrated editor, i've seen him edit for over a year now and he's remarkable

I don't care about syscourse enough to apply myself a stance. I am not neutral either, I just don't care. And before you try to get on my ass for being "uneducated" about irrelevant nonsense, I am plural myself, which is partially why I personally choose to distance myself from these topics.

Hey :)

I'd love edit resources for you guys. Like frames, masks, buttons/stamps, dividers, all sorts of stuff. Nothing raw or plain material because I have a strict no repost rule and it might get confusing to add a "ignore that one lol" on some posts.

BUT no graphic/layout requests (unless your a friend). I don't like doing those. Userbars, stamps, buttons, etc. I guess can be that exception, at the end of the day feel free to just send me an ask to clarify what I will and won't do, but nothing straight graphic.

I don't require credits for using my work whatsoever, if it's for personal usage. If you are planning to use something of mine, and then upload it so that other people may use it, hey! Give me some credit! I made part of that!

This includes completing a request on Tumblr, completing a Rentry / graphic commission (<- I am not asking for payment I literally only want credit), creating something using my work and then uploading it to a resource rentry, etc.

I never upload raw resources. There will be nothing on this blog that is posted unedited by me. If you don't like crediting, don't use it! And saying "Credits to Owner / Creator" is NOT good enough. Who is "creator"? Editblr Jesus? Perhaps, but try again please.
