How would the RO's deal with someone who is also interested in the MC and is courting them?

(Answered assuming the person courting MC isn’t one of the other ROs, but rather a third-party and also crushing stage)

Kieran: Well, they did tell mc they didn’t care if MC wanted to entertain romantic or sexual relationships outside their marriage. Problem is, now they do care. They don’t recognize or understand their own jealousy or hurt at being unable to capture MCs attention the way they think MCs suitor does. Plus they’ve had it unconsciously ingrained in their head that they’re unloveable. But you’ll find them often staring intently at MC and their suitor when together, brow furrowed. Will quickly look away if caught. Tries to casually ask probing questions to gauge MCs feelings on their suitor while convincing themself it’s only to make sure MC is happy, but it comes off very unnatural instead.

Nihm: Wouldn’t really notice someone was courting MC at first until they made more obvious romantic advances/gestures, at which point their own feelings become painfully obvious and rather embarrassing. A person like MCs suitor—is that the kind of person MC likes? They can’t help but compare themself and see every way they fall short. They won’t ever get mean or petty—if you’re happy, they’re happy, or at least they’ll try to be. It would be selfish not to be, so they’ll be a supportive friend and pretend it doesn’t hurt being overlooked.

Lilith/Lucien: Jealoussssss. Will be petty sometimes and attempt to chase away MCs suitor and capture MCs attention for themself. They’ll get pouty if MC chooses to spend time with their suitor over them but won’t interfere in MCs decisions. Hates that they feel jealous tho bc they think it’s selfish—mc would be better off with someone else. They’d be happier. As much as L wants to, they just can’t give mc a happy ending or a life together with them. Their fate seems invariably sealed. They don’t have a future with mc.

Samira: She really shouldn’t feel jealous or hurt or overlooked. MC has every right to entertain a courtship, and as royalty why would they ever view her that way, and furthermore—with her reputation—what person would ever want to unite families with hers? She is used to having others turn their nose up at her, and treat her as something tainted and revolting—but MC doesn’t ever look at her like that and she must have hoped maybe somewhere deep down, they….no—no, of course not. She understands her crush is entirely unrealistic but that doesn’t stop it from hurting. Despite herself, she will be very curt with MCs suitor and will be glaring daggers.

Aurynn: Absolutely does not understand the jealous curl in his stomach he gets when watching MC and their suitor. And it’s not just jealousy over MC—it’s jealousy that they get to have things like that. A life with someone. A future to think about. It’s jealousy over a lot of things, many of them too spoilery. He doesn’t expect MC to ever want something more from him beyond a good time—bc that’s all anybody wants right?—so he isn’t really sure why he gets snappish and petty talking about MCs suitor or why he cannot seem to tear his eyes away. He shouldn’t care. He doesn’t.
