requested! 4 & 5 from my prompt list w starship’s song hyeongjun. a bit over 300 words. fluff, reader has a nightmare, softboyfriend!hyeongjun. mentions of nightmares (duh) and crying, lowercase only, gender neutral reader, past tense, second person. let’s just pretend that it’s a really high bed ok?

you woke up with a tug. opening your eyes quickly, you tried to control your intense breath as your head was sending you all kinds of flashbacks from your dream. your nightmare.

you felt like you had to do something. you couldn’t just keep laying here; it would make the horrid thoughts keep blasting through your mind.

with teary eyes, you lifted your body up from the soft mattress and stood up. just as you laid your hand on the handle of the door that lead to your living room, you heard a soft voice speak behind you.

“baby? what are you doing up?”

right.

you weren’t alone tonight.

“it’s 2am, come back to bed.”your boyfriends hyeongjun’s tone was nothing but sweet and with a good intention, but his words made you finally burst into tears. and as you turned around and looked at his cute and wondering face, your sobs only turned louder. “hey, don’t cry! i didn’t mean it like that,” he cooed as he pulled away the covers from his body and sat up on the edge of the bed.

you shook your head slightly. “no, it’s fine... it’s not because of you...”

“come here.” he held out his arms towards you and you walked into them, letting him embrace you. you sighed at his touch and felt a big weight drop from your shoulders. “what’s wrong?”

“it was a nightmare...” his hand caressed the back of your head as his soft humming really helped soothe you. he pulled away from the hug, but kept you close.

“do you want to talk about it?,” he asked, stroking the tears away from your cheeks with his thumbs and you shook your head. “let’s sleep then,” he pulled you with him as he laid down in the bed again. “i’ll protect you.” he pulled the covers over your body as he took you into his arms, holding you tightly.

you were sure you were going to sleep well now.

While watching Produce x 101 Episode 2....

In this moment It became clear to me that this boy who although is afraid, knew that he was needed at that moment and acted without hesitation to help the others in the X class succeed and selflessly put them first before himself. He even said that he hoped he did enough to help everyone while the other trainees in the other grades are competing with each other, he said he would just be happy to perform on stage regardless of achieving a higher grade. “Being afraid and doing it anyway” is my definition of courage and he is a good representation of that, in fact I believe he was the one who gave them all courage in that moment of weakness. So with that....ladies and gents...that is Song Hyeong Jun. 

After episode 2 he became my favorite, I'm the kind of person who is drawn to what is real, there's no bullshit about him, he is who he is and it makes me want to support a person that is genuinely wholesome and literally a gem and is a definition of a real life hero. whether In this group or not, I feel like he is needed and there is place for him wherever it may be in the future. I really wish that I can write this message and put it on this ad, but this will have to do. despite all the hate he gets from being called fake and a cry baby from those who hate him, crying is not a weakness, it is just a  part of being human and being able to access emotions when we are feeling upset/ discouraged.During the first elimination you will notice that the X group class that got eliminated never looked at his emotional outbursts as fake and attention seeking, they mainly just thought it was cute that he thought of them. In these shows, your not always seen and because he did volunteer to teach the others choreography he got most of the screen time, not his fault by the way...he just did what he thought needed to be done at that moment. So I want him to realize how awesome he is and he does not need to change any part of him to appease others, but instead just be the best person he can be who inspires others with his  ability to care for others. In fact this season has a good group of boys who support each other really well and it is really great to see that they encourage each other instead of bringing each other down. I wasn't expecting to like this season as much as I do and I'm always looking forward for Fridays when it airs. so no matter how this ends up, I think this group will end up with a bunch of people with a positive influence. hopefully...lol.
