합리적 (noun, determiner)

Good thought, @WotD! Today's word is 합리적. This is a little bit advanced vocabulary that you won't see often. It combines [합리] (합할 to combine 合 + 다스릴 to govern 理), meaning {rationality} with [적] (과녁/진�� target/truth 的), which is a suffix (접미어) meaning {in the way of}. 

Together, it forms a noun (or a 관형사, "determiner/prenoun" - basically a descriptive noun) with the meaning, 이론이나 이치에 합당한. 또는 그런 것. (~ Something that is right or proper to a theory or reason. As a description or something that is.) 

 ...Which boils down to a fancy way of saying "the right way." 

See examples from the interwebs (with loose translations): - 그는 일을 합리적으로 진행하였다. ~ He executed his work rightly. (or appropriately) - 합리적인 선택 ~ a correct/right/appropriate choice - 어느 통신사의 전화요금이 가장 합리적입니까? ~ Which telecom company's phone rates are the best? (make the most sense?) - 식품에 대한 합리적 생각법 ~ A Correct Way to Think about Food (note: this is a book title) 

 In real life, you might hear this in commercials- ex 합리적인 가격! (a very reasonable price tag!)
