The week's overwhelm leaves him raw. He feels it. Everything. The buzz of the world itself, sparked on his fingertips. One wrong breath. One wrong move, and this whole joint goes up in flames.

The curses of a kinetic. Pasquale draws his attention to his smoke-filled lungs. The cloudy swirls and motions of his cigarette. He'll focus on this motion. The draw of smoke, the plumes. His usual tactics fail to work. Should he be here tonight? Home is a no-go. The quiet might drive him insane. He's in his element here. Minutes away from a race. If nicotine and gasoline don't do the trick, a good shot of adrenaline will do the trick.

His heart's already racing. How much longer? Keen rubies swipe across from over his red specs. Searching for relief. For fun.

How convenient that he sees you approaching.

Sparks up his spine. Ears rev like engines. His pupils blow out and the grin that splits his pierced lips are like a starter gun. The cigarette's discarded in seconds under his boot. Pasquale shoves himself from the hood of his car and rushes a beeline.

"Tesoro." Who needs a steering wheel when your hips are right there? Large hands brace, yank you so the chains of his dark pants grace your waist. He leans over you as your arms excitably venture round his neck. "What a pleasant surprise. Guess my prayer's answered."

Giggles muffle his lips that seal yours. Your arms wrap tighter and you squeal as he hoists you impossibly closer. Flashing lights, chatter, sounds of all fade as he eases into you. How could something so exhilarating be his solace? His greatest hit, his best comfort.

"Fuck baby. . . " He groans into your mouth, bundles your thighs and spins you over to sit you on his car's hood. Who cares about watchers? Let them know you're his. It's only when you give his waves a little tug does he part, grin that sly gleam. "Have no idea how much I needed to see that pretty face."

A kiss to your nose, as if he wasn't on the verge of making out with you atop his car. Rejuvenated, that's all he can describe it as. The world around falls still. The only motion that matters to him is the beat of your heart.

"Stay for the race, won't you?"

"Of course."

You muse, give his hair another little tug and a sly smile of your own. You knew him well. The relaxation of his shoulders tells you that you made the right decision in coming here tonight. "So make sure not to lose, yeah?"

His grin grows louder. You fit into laughter at his little tickles to your side before he swoops close to your face once more.

"Well I'm gonna need an extra kiss for good luck then."
