The Mycellium

The network beneath the earth, the roots running, crossing, tangling into a bit of everything the forest has to offer-- this is the joy of those under the sign of the Mycellium. Unlike the more equivocal Guardian, they take particular joy in connection, seeking to spread their net as wide as they can and look to the lines drawn between far-flung thoughts, crafts, and ways of being. They are accessible and actively adaptable, never resting for too long before they reach out again, eyes full of twinkling, playful light. The Mycellium tend towards the childish and the shallow, often accused of being overly idealistic and not following their ideas through. Sometimes their fancy carries them to imaginative heights. Their universal dabbling means that they bring a unique perspective to any discussion. They can be gullible, noncommital, and naive; they are riddlers, readers, roots that cannot be cut back for long before they surge again. The Mycellium finds itself in webs: of friends, of lovers, of mistakes and easy half-lies twisted to avoid consequence. They know the path of least resistance well, but they rarely follow it to the end. Half started, half finished, always ready to start again.
