A small child reached up to the sky, running and jumping after a crystal fly. She'd played this little game of tag with the fairy for a long time now, her parents simply watching with fond amusement as their youngest seemed to never run out of life.

Her parents called. Quickly turning on her heel- stumbling and almost falling as she did- Wolke looked back to them, the breeze making the ends of her hair tickle her shoulders. Seeing them beckon her over, she had no reason not to run back into their arms. Wolke hopped with gleeful giggles as her father almost fell from her tackle, commenting how, soon she'd be strong enough to carry him.

Listening to her mother, Wolke eased down to a small bounce instead of full hops, watching her with big, curious, eyes- only to find herself blind!

Ah!! Mama!!!

Wolke shoved the soft item up her head with a small thump as both her parents could be heard giggling. Her mother crouched down to adjust the gift of sweet smells, before her father pulled out a pocket watch, flipping it open and letting the small rabbit see her own reflection in the polished metal.

She hopped around, feeling the soft flowers bounce on her head, some petals already coming loose and falling around her little dance, decorating the warm scene with a snow of many colours.

Her mother called out but she didn't care. The flowers would wilt anyways so why not let them die in a pretty way?-

Flower crown fully forgotten, Wolke chased after the silly animal who attempted to run away. Though the child's speed should not be underestimated.

Soon enough the fluffy cat was caught with a loud squeal, she happily hugged it close to her chest in celebration, but didn't hop this time; not wanting to make the kitty dizzy.

Mama! Papa!!

Wolke ran back to her house, before slowing down to a stop and looking around.

..Mama? Papa..?

The cat grumpily swayed it's tail as Wolke ran a few loops around the house, calling out to her parents before standing where they stood, ears bristled and tail low.

....mama..? papa...? ..wo seid ihr..?

As always, she'd recieved no reply. Just when was the last time she heard their voice?- Wolke backed into metal- letting out a startled gasp and thump. She reached her hands out, breathing quickly as she felt her surroundings- only metal bars greeting her back.

She pulled back, bumping into the horrid bars again- tired of feeling their scalding cold- there was no way out. Maybe there was once but not anymore.

Helpless to her invisible surroundings, Wolke sat down, hugging her legs close to her chest as quiet but useless whimpers escaped her.

Left with nothing but herself; only her hair, brushing past her elbows, could attempt to offer any warmth in this cold, familiar, cage that she'd spent so much time in...

“kids spend too much time on their devices” well what else are they supposed to do? there’s no corner shops with pinball machines in them on every corner anymore. there’s no malls or stores in small towns for teens to hang out in without being suspected of shoplifting or kicked out for loitering. sidewalks are too broken for them to ride their bikes and there’s no bike lane in the street to make it safe for them. i just don’t understand where they expect these kids to go when they keep taking places away from them. and yes having no safe public places for them is what leads a lot of teens into addiction if they end up at a place where people aren’t truly looking out for them.

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

Re reading the original hunger games is so funny bcus katniss can literally read haymitch's mind like what. I'm dying of thirst but haymitch hasn't sent me water, that must mean that there's some nearby!! And one kiss is one pot of broth!!
