Much easier to tease Shadow for being edgy than it is to acknowledge what Shadow's ACTUALLY SAID. Sonic the Hedgehog doesn't hurt! Not because he's too proud to let anybody see him suffering, or because he feels like he has to live up to some HERO - TITLE he never even chose. But because he doesn't know HOW to deal with complicated stuff like this. He like things simple. He likes himself simple. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. He doesn't want to have to look his own hurt or his own complicated feelings or his own traumas in the face. He doesn't want to HAVE his own traumas. UGH. Just thinking that word makes him want to bolt.
