Though she supposes it's a good thing she bestowed her problem onto him & now made it their problem. Merigold eyes brightened up when he mentioned the arcade. It's usually crowded right about now & a perfect blend in spot!

❝ Yeah, I was thinking of losing them there too! See great minds think alike under such weird circumstances. ❞ She laughed out nervously as they picked up the walking pace. Karmyn made a beeline for the arcade, her gaze flickering over to him along the way to assure she didn't lose her new companion in this mess. 

❝ Here, it's over here. ❞ Mumbled words after moving through & around a crowd of people enjoying leisurely time. Her hand reached out to pull along his sleeve before she ducked down & dragged him into the arcade with her.

the drink went along with his whole vibe. of course someone with that accent and that elegant southern aesthetic would order an old fashioned. sam licked his lips, raising his eyebrows in interest at him.

it also felt so obvious. he did strike him as the business type. the hunter chuckled, his cheeks flushing a faint shade of pink. ❝ yeah, something like that. ❞ sam looked away momentarily, thinking it over. ❝ i was going to be a lawyer, but my dad got sick and... well, now i'm a consultant for a small family business my brother and i run. it's definitely... mentally and physically draining, but rewarding. ❞

and devastatingly dangerous. but sam didn't finish that thought. this wasn't about details, or what-have-you. ❝ nothing crazy, either. ❞

well, that was a lie, but cori didn't need to know that. sam thanked the bartender with a smile when he placed both drinks in front of them. he waits for cori to grab his tumbler, before he did the same, watching the other man carefully. he was very clearly more of a follower, letting cori lead their little flirtatious dance.

The inviting manner with which Sam directs his body towards the monster is all the indication that the Corinthian needs to know this guy is interested. So much can be learned from body language, and the Corinthian speaks it fluently.

He simpers as his new acquaintance agrees to a drink. Turning to flag down the bartender and ordering two Old Fashioned's.

"Hah, nothing so grandiose. I'm an entrepreneur. I help people get their career's off the ground." The Corinthian replies in his smooth drawl. Returning his full attention to Sam after having dealt with the bartender.

"But you don't wanna hear about that boring stuff, right? Tell me, what do you do for a living? I'm guessing something... academic, with hands-on experience in the field?"

❝ Sting-sama! I... ❞ She has little time to register what to say. With his hands trailing a path from her shoulders to her very warm & rosened cheeks. The celestial mage could practically melt at how affectionate his hands feel upon her visage, but it's the words that kickstart a fast racing heart. The butterflies in the pit of her stomach take flight when she finds herself wrapping arms precariously around his torso.

The sentiment brings about tears that brim the edges of chocolate eyes as she nods in his embrace. He always seemed to know what to say. She's safe here in his arms, she always has been. ❝ Thank you. ❞

Hello fireflies!! After a few weeks of hiatus, I can officially say I'm properly in the mindset to focus on Mushroom Oasis again! For the sake of brevity, here's a quick rundown of things to come:
