Whining. For Alfie, it has never been favourable, especially when it comes from you. 

“You never tell me, Alf,” you sigh, scraping your fingers through your hair, “and I need to hear it.” 

Scratching his beard, his eyes fix you with a penetrating gaze, moving to kneel before you. “Bloody given me a right ear bending today, ain’t ya?”  

“You deserve it.” 

True, he supposes. “I love you. I don’t know how else to put it, you insufferable woman.” 

Only Alfie could declare his affection in a way that it comes paired with an insult. You happily take it, though.
