Plot ⇥ 3. The wedding guest — muse A is engaged and muse B, as their best friend, helps them with wedding planning, but is secretly in love with them and wondering if they should confess their feelings before the wedding or not. Plot twist — muse A also has feelings for B, but thought they weren’t mutual and tried to move on. Will they speak now or forever hold their peace ?
Starter for ⇥ @revolvingdccrs
It was only a week before Jasmine was getting married. He did his best to help her plan it, though honestly he wasn't sure he was all that helpful. She was his best friend and when she wasn't looking... he was looking at her. Longing stares like the one he was giving her now. He stood there while she was trying on her dress again, in complete awe. ❝ Can't believe there's only a week left... ❞ He muttered the words.

Boden, Jasmine thinks trying bare back is the same as piggy back riding ...
Often, Boden could be accused of being too even-keeled, but some things set him off. You could crack jokes at his expense all day, and he'd likely laugh along or reply in kind, but talking smack and degrading someone he cares about will get a response. So when the 'rando' popped into his office and spouted off about Jasmine, he pulled his nose from his laptop, and stared down the asshole who stole his peace before he stood up at his desk, "Excuse me. How about you shut your mouth and go about your day?" After they left, he sat back down with his eyes focused on the doorway as his shoulders fell. Two prevailing thoughts ate at him, someone was taking a piss at her expense, and that he was going to have to tell her what bare back actually was.

It demanded more effort than she wanted others to know to walk trough the doors of the bakery. Whitney hadn't been an actual out and about customer for nearly a month now. She had good reasons, but people around her were pushing her to get out of her hidey hole. And she supposed things weren't going to get better if she stayed in it.. so what the hell, right? Her head was pounding from the night out she'd had yesterday, the effects of a mean hangover clinging to her body still. Maybe that was it. The need for black, deep, rich coffee so strong that it had her toss her worries of being observed and judged to the wind. Hands deep in one of her brothers way too big hoodies, she stepped up to the counter. "Coffee please? Is 'Black as my soul' on the menu?" she teasingly asked Jaz with a small smile.

setting: jasmine’s apartment
who: julian chandler & jasmine st. claire @cantfightmoonlight
“Now I know this is much delayed,” Julian started with a lopsided grin on his face, “But I did not come empty handed. After all — late or not, it’s only right to bring a house warming gift!” At that, the vampire held out a medium sized bag, one with the words “Happy Birthday” in glittery cursive on the front and brown paper sticking out of the top instead of tissue paper. It was his first time swinging by her new apartment, so he made sure to come prepared. “Ignore what it says on the bag… It’s the only one I had. And, ah,” his cheeks rouged at the contents, a fake snake plant he found while running some errands the day before, “I had a real plant originally, but it didn’t last the ridiculous amount of time I’d been hoarding it before coming by, so… I think fake is a good way to go, right? I mean it looks just as nice. And hey, neither you or your roommate will have to worry about watering it — win, win.” He shrugged, keeping his dopey smile on.
Julian had not spent as much time with Jasmine as he would have liked, and now that he was getting more and more used to his new life he wanted to fix that. He did come to Lunar Cove to recuperate their friendship, after all, he felt determined to keep to his original goal. It helped him feel more like himself again. Well… and there was another topic of conversation to be had. He tried to keep Briar-Rose Reed from flashing across his mind, not allowing Jasmine to get a sneak peek to what he was anxious to discuss with her. Swaying on his feet at the entrance to her new place, he quirked a brow at Jasmine. “You gonna welcome me in? Unless you wanna go grab a coffee or something. It’s been a while since I think we’ve been able to chat without a big ol’ elephant in the room, so to speak.” The man had long since let go of any weirdness over his demise and her curse. “And look, we got through a holiday in town without any scary shenanigans, so… What do you say to a little friendly catch up? There’s actually something I’d like to, er, I guess share with you.” He tried not to let his nervousness show, but then again who could blame him? How’d you tell your childhood best friend you were dating their little sister? He had no clue, but he tried not to just blurt it out. Contain, Chandler, contain it.

for: @cantfightmoonlight — jas time & location: wedding dinner, farmshop
He wasn't much of a dancer, and it wasn't a proper dance either, just held her close as they swayed to the faint sound that played from the speakers. It was enough though, just to be with her. Music faded to an end and with a quick peck to Leyla's cheek, Ken headed to the bar to grab them both a drink. But in the time it took to order, a look behind him told him that the wait to return to her side would be longer than anticipated as he saw Jonah talking to her. Despite the eye roll he gave in that direction, Ken didn't interrupt. Instead sat himself at the bar and waited for his own drink, just a touch impatient than how he had started. Gazing landing on Jas however, mood slightly perked. Slightly. "You get the pleasure of my company for a bit. Lucky you."

closed starter for @cantfightmoonlight J ² (Jas and Jamie) in Jamie's kitchen at 7:52 PM.
The road to hell was paved with good intentions.
Jamie had only meant to keep his friend from spending her birthday alone. Come over, he'd insisted. Then came the reminder that she was a twin. Jamie hadn't really forgotten about Linden, but his offer to host hade been made in haste without forethought. A theme in his life. Then it became bring the family, and Jamie should've known that the family would include the coven. What he didn't expect was everyone else. All their "plus ones" and a few total strangers, too. The food went so fast Jamie barely snagged two plates to hide away for later. All his efforts for the day reduced to nothing in seconds as the vultures descended upon his fresh gnocchi and vodka sauce.
After, the hoard migrated outside to play in the pool. Jamie stayed behind, in his kitchen, still dressed for the dinner party that turned into a rager. He cleaned up the mess the group of hungry heathens had made and rewarded himself with a coffee because they'd taken all the wine he'd bought for what was supposed to be a dinner party.
From the window, he watched the party unfold outside. As the stress of sudden change left his shoulders he cracked the hint of a smile. It made Jamie feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, seeing the coven together and having fun. It made him think that, for all he had lost, he still had a family. Appropriate that they were here now, in the house he had started building years ago for a family that would now never be.
A hint of color in his peripheral vision caught Jamie's eye. The edge of an approaching aura. Shades of green and tan that reminded him of a lush forest. Immediatly, he thought he could see what Nico saw in her. "Jasmine." He called out before introducing himself even though they'd sort of met once. "Jamie." The coffee cup he held tilted towards his chest in gesture. "Seems like it's time we had a formal introduction. All I have left to offer you to drink is coffee."

for: Aiyla ( @aiylabaysal ) & Jas ( @cantfightmoonlight )
Despite the little nap he had taken during the gift exchange, tiredness crept around the edges, sleep faintly calling out to be let in. The event and everything that followed it, had been a lot. Running around hopped on artificial energy gained from energy drinks and candy would soon crash, but there were so much fun to be had, and he couldn't be that person too, to sleep before midnight not on this day, but without fireworks lighting the sky, he couldn't tell if the new year was yet to come or had past. Casting such thoughts aside, Mason had a plan for once and he'd be dammed to be distracted from it.
"This is on you, actually," Mason marched pointedly at Aiyla. Tracking her down had been difficult and not without a few threats but eventually he caught sight of the Fae Queen. "You did this." He didn't know specifically what this was either, just that they felt different since using the dark magic spell. With the bigger spell of the night cutting their tie with kindness and making an indifference settle that would normally would not be present, this one was much of the same feeling. He became unwillingly to share unless there was something in it for them. Even if then. "You could've let me be, but no, had to get all fuckin' righteous." Patience had never been their strong suit, wanting things done immediately or risk boredom had always been the case.
"I would demand an apology but we got things to do. And ya, I said we, since we're both in this mess." Could the blame lay with them, perhaps if one was inclined to look that way, but did Mason in this moment fault themself? Absolutely not. "I don't know much about this type of magic, just that it's been real nice to try it, but like..." It was a strange dichotomy to want to rid of this but also not care enough to wholly want that. Maybe one could stay and the other go? Essentially losing two major parts that made them them grew to be a weird mix. This numbness that he felt now could almost be pinpointed if he could focus. "...I gotta know more about this, so you're coming with me. Not an option by the way." He did from time to time turn to check if Aiyla was indeed following, he had no qualms leaving her like this, really, it would be easier but a fleeting part of knew this to be the right thing to do. Directionless again, Mason wandered to where last they heard Jas was. She should be here somewhere... but with the cool shadow portals in play, who knew if that changed.
"JAS, hey Jas!" Mason bounded up, finally spotting her, desperation he felt moments prior melting into a sigh of relief. "God, you're so hard to find." Unsurprising that she had black eyes too, in fact, he was banking on it. "Listen, so, I need your help...and her too," he pointed to Aiyla, "Since you know more about this kinda thing, I think I did something to us? Now everything is so different on top of things already being so different."

just scrolled thru my blog and reencountered jasmine savoy and that autostraddle writer completely chopping and remixing lesbianism unprovoked. Screaming. The sentence “lesbianism actually means being a powerful woman who fucks whoever she wants including women with vaginas and fake men i mean women with vaginas i mean men with vaginas so that means lesbians can and should also fuck men with penises ackshually” blew my whole brains out.
#The thing w convos like that is i know who i wanna have them with and who i dont and#Theyre definitely in the latter camp#Especially when ppl like jasmine (inc the writer of that article) assume a holier than thou position for their ‘nuance’#And then act like people who oppose their opinion are raging neanderthals for having the reaction they do to saying#Something so inflammatory off the cuff

HC ENDING:
Ken, with a sleepy Jas, drove to pick up Leyla, and like he said did make Jas go to the backseat. All three then were heading to Echo Acres to drop Jas off when the car sputtered to a stop due to the snow. Of course, Ken also blamed the shitty neighbourhood for this unfortunate event. Eventually though, after many soft coos aimed at his car, it kicked back up again and were no longer stuck. Somewhere in this conversation, Ken very causally mentioned to Jas that him and Leyla were engaged.
"Rude," She narrowed her eyes over at him. "Some friend you are," She grumbled out, her words slurring as she spoke. "He won't go in if I don't. Reverse psycho-something," She pointed out as if it was obvious, though in her hazy state her point was far less strong that she would have otherwise intended it to be. "Ha. No thank you. Collect the money from Nico if you want something so badly," She murmured out as she slouched over on the seat. Her eyes falling closed as he began to start up the engine. "Why do I have to move? But, okay. You'll have to move me though."

closed starter for @bejcweled !
just as adonis realized he’d had enough of listening to his cute neighbor desperately calling his name, he heard the mystery stranger - who shared his name - leaving their building. he showered and got ready to do some spiteful shopping, but as he was leaving, the door a little down the hall from his opened again and out walked aforementioned cute neighbor. they hadn’t spoken much, and given his recent flood of emotion, he didn’t really know what to say, but she had seen him so he realized he should say something. “hey, neighbor,” he cringed at his own words but committed and continued, “long time, no see... what ya up to?” internally he was hitting himself, because he already knew what she was "up to".

setting: jasmine and nico’s home, a day or so after the chaos time has been blending for him
featuring: julian chandler & jasmine st. claire castillo??? @cantfightmoonlight
The sky was a pale gray, covered in a thick blanket of rain clouds, and Julian thought there was something poetic to its dreariness when compared to the broken, mangled state of his heart. Distant rumbling of storms, and the gentle fall of rain only added atmosphere to the terrible fog he’d been in since the night at the Emerald. Between triggering his own PTSD at the edge of the dance floor, the horrific events that raged on in the hours after midnight, to Briar-Rose’s hurtful confession, absolutely no moment gave him rest. His every waking moment felt haunted by everything that happened — phantom spasms that caught him gasping for air whenever he heard any form of dancing music, and the ever present searing heartache at the thought of his beloved being kissed by another. It was the worst part of it all, after everything that happened, to finally have a moment to the two of them after barely seeing each other all night, only to find out what had happened between her and her ex-fiancée while he’d been hyperventilating elsewhere. He tried to bury the thought as he noticed the house up ahead. The last thing Julian wanted was for Jasmine to hear it in his mind long before there was a proper moment to talk and explain. So he quieted his thoughts as he walked up towards the front door, no umbrella or rain jacket to shield him from the elements. Just a corded gray sweatshirt, shoulders dappled by the rainfall, and soaked through hair, looking just as solemn as the weather.
Knocking at the door, he waited quietly until she would arrive to greet him. This was the first time he’d been to the home she shared with Nico, and he would need a proper invitation to enter. Julian had wanted to visit sooner, but he’d stalled. This time of year brought back strange memories, buried trauma, and sensations that he didn’t want her all seeing eye always privy too. There was enough turmoil in this town, hers and her loved ones’ lives constantly at stake. The last thing Julian wanted was to burden her thoughts with his own dreadful wallowing. Not when he died for her curse, that wasn’t quite fair of him to be upset about. He made sure to not let these, or any thoughts, show as he waited at the door. Instead, he thought back on grocery lists and random song lyrics, math equations which stumped him into a stupor. Anything but the trauma, his problems, the aching sadness that at this very hour he would usually still be wrapped up in that pretty redhead of his, instead of wordlessly leaving her favorite pastry and go to coffee order on her stoop and dashing just before she opened the door to see him there as he’d done that very morning. He may have been heartbroken, that didn’t mean he’d stop taking care of her as he always did.
Unfortunately that was in his mind when the door finally opened. “Hey,” he said quietly, waving a hand awkwardly. “…I heard you got hurt, I wanted to stop by and see if you were okay. I-I’m sorry I didn’t check in on you that night, I just… So much was happening. And so many people were around you… I didn’t want to overcrowd you.” He soured when he remembered that the unwelcome guest into his relationship had been there with Jasmine too, but he squared his shoulders and tried to give his brightest smile. But it didn’t work, his usual ability to be as pleasantly optimistic as ever was gone. Instead his smile faltered, and he didn’t try to reclaim it. “Can I maybe come in? Chat or something, I could… I could use a little slice of home, ya know?”

I know they're so good at their job; it's not fair. It's like they pick up on whatever tells them 'easy target' when they see you. It's frustrating. I mean, I went in there with headphones on, and we're talking those really big ones, in the hopes that they'd leave me alone but no... of course, one of them comes up to ask if they can help. And me being me, I did the stupid thing of pulling my headphones off. Big mistake!
Hi Jaz, nice to meet you. It's not? What was the wildest thing you've seen so far?
I avoid salespeople at all cost, to be honest, but especially car salesmen. I don’t know how they do it, but they could take you into buying a piece of dust, I swear. It’s unnerving. I’m also a people pleaser who hates confrontation most of the time, so that just adds to the stress when I get into those situations.
It’s nice to meet you, Frankie. I’m Jasmine, but most call me Jaz. And believe it or not, that is not the wildest thing I’ve seen on social media before so fear not. I’m not judging at all.

Hi, sorry to bother you, I was just wondering if your planning on updating Congratulations! It's Triplets anytime soon? Because I kinda wanna see what happens once they actually sit down and talk through their misunderstandings because honestly although jazz is probably too busy to go through with it now she was training herself to be one of 2 courses in college which was either neurology or phycology so I figured she'd be the first to recognize that they need to have a sit down and talk with everything laid out or at least partially laid out, it being a really long really difficult conversion with tears trauma flashbacks and probably cake (because let's be honest this convo needs comfort food) and by the end of it they might not even fixed all the misunderstandings they had but it's a start in the right direction :)
"I'm sorry the kids threaten you. They can be a handful," is the first thing out of Jasmine's mouth. She is holding a glass tray with delicious-smelling lasagna, wearing a teal dress that hugs all her curves and seems dolled up for a night out.
She marches right by him, her long red hair falling into wavy curls down her back like waterfalls. They sway with her movement as she leads the way to the dining room.
On the table is a dinner set for two, red candles lit, and the lights dim. It makes him think of all those silly scenes in romance novels he consumed growing up. Jasmine places the tray in the center of the table alongside a salad. She carefully pours some bubbling water into two champagne glasses, humming.
Once done, she turns towards him, taking off the apron wrapped around her front. It reveals a nice but modest view of a split on her dress ending on the edge of her midleg.
"I told them to get you so we can have a dinner date. Bruce offered to babysit for the night." She proclaims, crossing her arms. "I want to see if there is a future for us or if the god of time is just an idiot."
Jason is so stunned by her beauty that he can't find any words to respond. He feels like she just pulled out a live fish and threw it at his face. While he's busy gawking like a fool, the three children squirm in his arms before he feels little hands fumbling around the edge of his helmet.
He jerks his neck away, a warning of bombs on his lips, only to bite his tongue when Dan bypasses his security to pull off the helmet with a laugh. At the same time, Dani reaches up to rip the mask off his face, fast and stiff enough that he swears she was a professional waxer in a past life.
He lets out a yowl, barely able to shift his words from a swear into a substitute. Danny pats his cheek, apologizing for his sibling's lack of manners. Dan doesn't seem to care because he scrambles off Jason's shoulders, head inside of the helmet that was too large for him, and races down the hallway.
"I'm unstoppable!" He screams in glee. Two seconds later, he rams into a wall, hitting it at full force due to the helmet blocking his view. He bounces off the drywall with enough force. He lands on his rear and a soft grunt.
Dani takes that chance to hop out of Jason's arms. She runs at a speed he's sure kids shouldn't be able to reach without having the Allen family gene, tackling Dan before his son can get up. In a tussle that looks too violent for five-year-olds, Dani rips the helmet out of Dan's hands and books it down the hallway, cackling like a loon.
"No! Dani! Give that back!" Dan demands, leaping to his feet and running after his sister. The voice modifiers of their outfits make them sound darker than usual, but it does not make them sound threatening.
Danny sighs heavily. "I better go stop them before that thing blows up. Treat my mom well, or I'll be forced to hurt you."
He patted Jason's cheek again, carefully climbing down to the ground. Despite his words, he calmly walks out of the room, hands tucked into his Prince of Gotham suit pants as if he were going on a casual stroll. The second he reaches the door, he grabs the handle and tugs to close.
Just as it's about to seal, he points two fingers toward his green glowing mask eyes and then points them aggressively at Jason. Once his warning is received, he finishes closing the door.
Jason is left standing in the room, confused out of his mind. It all happened so fast that he was unsure if the kids planned that exit or if they were honestly just like that. It burns to not be sure.
He should.
He is their father.
"Well, sit down. We have a date to get through." Jasmine commands, pushing some of her red hair out of her face. She levels an even calculating stare on him, making him feel she is more prepared for a business meeting than anything romantic. "Let's see what the god of time has in store for us."
