my lara is a massive history buff, don't get me wrong, but let's not forget pre-boot lara (especially in terms of what core design wanted for lara in terms of angel of darkness and underworld) is interested in the weirdest parts of history too. she obsesses over the occult and the supernatural, finds the act of exorcism an act of exercise (in the ironic sense that it releases endorphins) and is a cold hearted bitch to those who stand in the way of getting what she wants. yes, lara is a human, and she would do anything to protect an innocent life and save it, but what i love the most about her is that whilst she's the poster child of empathy and letting her emotions get the best of her, she is also strange in her interests and can be somewhat selfish at times. plus, i love her snarky one-liners punctuating angel of darkness because it's so telling of the kind of "no nonsense" persona she actually possesses seeing as... well, she's english.

@ilchul00 made a post with that first image about Tenna Undertale, and it gave me an idea (also!! Destroyed Tenna design inspired by how they drew it!!)

Perhaps,,,an AU where Tenna isn’t a Darkner, but a monster in the underground. He’s the royal caretaker/nanny/babysitter for Asriel and Chara and watches them when Toriel and Asgore are busy being royalty. He also watches the kids when they go outside, plays with them, and entertains them

Well, yknow Everything Happens, the kids are gone, Toriel and Asgore get divorced, and Toriel stays in the Ruins…Tenna opts not to go with her, but he too leaves and goes to sit in the spot that he told the kids to meet him at if they ever got lost while playing. He’s in denial that they’re gone and gets the Spinel treatment of waiting forever for someone who will never return. That spot becomes a trash spot over time due to water currents and lazy monsters, and so that’s how it becomes a trash heap, while Tenna is still technically half-alive, just…waiting

Upon interacting with him, Tenna wakes up and sees Frisk and mistakes them for Chara, which makes him incredibly happy…but then quickly realizes that Frisk is not Chara.

In a Pacifist Run, Frisk would probably bring Tenna to Alphys for repairs (to which Tenna might say something about the kingdom having a new royal scientist), and help him cope with the losses of the kids he cared for. In the end of that run, he returns to live with Toriel after being fixed up and becomes Frisk’s babysitter now above the surface. Or maybe in one of the runs, he becomes a TV star alongside Mettaton because that would be fun :3
