Although HeroAca's ethics are conscientious, we can also see a glimpse of modern dangers. At least as far as the developments to date are concerned, it seems that at the base of the work lies naive nationalism and a lack of imagination toward the situation in which official authority expands in the name of "justice." However, this nationalism seems to have an inclusive character, just like the nationalism of nationhood, which is another hidden basis of "Shounen Jump Values." As a fusion with such nationalism, we may be able to see in HeroAca the aspect of a higher level of community ethics that is relativistic and individualistic, yet aware of responsibility to "others." However, according to Karatani's logic, nationalism, which is a "(insular) community" way of thinking, should be in conflict with "(broad) social" thinking. Perhaps in the case of nationalism as a nationhood founded on universal ideals and principles, it does not actually contradict "social" thinking.
Still, it is important to note that even such nationalism is always in danger of slipping into exclusionary logic when a crisis occurs. Although HeroAca clearly denounce dictators, it does not have the imagination to understand that historically, bureaucrats/civil servants were the means by which rulers carry out their rule, so the current positioning of Heroes is a status that could support movements such as the state control of society that occurred in Japan in the late 1930s (fascism). [HeroAca fails to show enough wariness towards social control by public authorities.]
...
In that sense, if Heroes are imagined as an entity rooted in the network of "Hero Agencies" in the story and its spiritual ethics are depicted as maintaining a healthy tension with the state, then its ethics may be considered to be truly "social."

Geten: Dog of the state.
Hawks: It's not like that. He's doing it again. No way.
Geten:
I'm talking about Dabi.
(Dabi in backgroudn: Ha~?)
Geten: Why are you looking for that kid here?
This guy and that guy, they overestimate that guy.
Do you too? It's unpleasant, I'll go.
Hawks: ...Isn't that really unlucky?

Flip!Trumpet and Regressor!Skeptic Headcanons
Tumblr media
Something that sets the Meta Liberation Army apart from other villain groups like the League or the Hassaikai is that they are made up of professionals. Yes, they are Big Bad ProfessionalTM villains—they are going to change society to align with Destro's vision, they have already set the plans in motion, they...also need small time. How else are they to maintain the "well-oiled machine" aspect of the MLA if they don't take proper care of themselves? Given that they all lead rather high-profile lives—the public part of their secret double-life as white collar villains—it's unsurprising that this would come with a lot of stress. What is surprising (or statistically unlikely, if you ask Tomoyasu) is that more than one of them have the same way that they manage all of that stress: regression. Although they do find that it manifests differently for each of them, as is to be expected.
No one is exactly clear on who began regressing first, or even when it started becoming a more common occurrence. All they know is, at some point, it wasn't exactly odd to find someone slipping during the lulls in official MLA business while staying at the villa. If they had to guess they might have said it was Geten, or maybe even Tomoyasu who first started to display some more obvious signs. But there are a few things they are certain of despite the wishy-washy beginnings. Like the fact that Koku is a flip with a fairly wide regression range of anywhere from two to seven, and usually settles at about five when he regresses. Whereas Tomoyasu is very much strictly a regressor and is permanently stuck in his terrible twos, although he maybe reaches his terrible threes on a few rare occasions should the stars be aligned.
Most of the time Koku doesn't mind playing cg to Tomoyasu if Re-Destro or Curious are busy, but the second they ask him to watch Geten at the same time is a different story entirely. Both of them require undivided attention in his opinion and watching them at the same time is a nightmare because someone tends to get jealous and fussy if he isn't getting all the attention. So Koku will absolutely jump from team cg to team regressor for the day, completely checks out and has left the big boy building, thank you very much. He does this out of spite and for the pure joy of knowing he won't have to be the one to clean up whatever the resulting chaos is if he's helping contribute to aforementioned chaos. He's just a little guy, they cannot get mad at him! Even if he did abandon ship on them...no, cannot yell at him, especially when he bats those eyelashes at them all innocent-like. Koku knows what he is doing when he gives the puppy dog eyes; he knows exactly how to play this game and he's going to win.
It's usually during this time that he slips on the smaller end too, a fact that Tomoyasu isn't pleased about. And he will make sure everyone knows that he is displeased. Because whenever they do happen to regress to the same range, it never ends well. Usually this means they'll play nice for about an hour or so, until Tomoyasu's temper gets the better of him—which isn't a difficult state for him to reach, especially when he's small and all those already-big emotions are even bigger. All it really takes is one "inexcusable offense" (typically crimes against his dolls, because Tomoyasu knows that Koku knows he isn't supposed to touch them but he says he can't help it! they're so pretty!) and then he's yanking on Koku's hair accompanied by a litany of no, no, no, no, an act that is met with a screech and his own hair getting tugged on (turnabout being fair play and all). Until, a very short while later, they are both crying and someone has to come separate them. They have cool-down time in separate corners before they have to apologize and try playing nice again.
Conversely, Koku handles acting as the big brother rather well when on the older end of his range, though it isn't clear whether he has a lot of patience or simply is used to Tomoyasu's antics. Probably the latter, given that Tomoyasu can put quite the strain on a person's nerves if they aren't used to how he operates. He can be well into the middle of one of his little hissy fits, huffing and well on the verge of frustration tears and Koku just. Plays along without really discounting whatever it is he's feeling. Taking his toy microphone and conducting a little interview of sorts and working through the tantrum. Asking him at first about whatever has him upset before moving on to a different subject, like what colors he likes or what they should have for lunch, to more specific questions about the dolls he likes so much. Tomoyasu can't really remember what it was that set him off in the first place when he's being prompted with what he would normally describe as asinine questions, if he were feeling bigger that is. As it stands however, he answers the questions (because he's so so good at knowing things!) until there's only the occasional hiccup and sniffle, his fussing forgotten for a time.
When they do collaborate together while small, it can sometimes be dangerous—or at least, dangerous for Daddy's credit card. Borrowing the credit card is their prerogative though, and they can and will use it. It isn't their fault that Curious left the TV on the home shopping network and it happens to be the hour that they are showcasing a lot of very enticing toys. They practically have to use it at that point! Tomoyasu isn't going to argue either as he watches Koku put in the long string of numbers on his phone, especially since he assures him that Mr. Re-Destro won't mind buying him a new LeapPad (which he needs because Geten broke his old one after dropping it in the toilet). It isn't as if they'll get into immediate trouble either and baby brain doesn't exactly work in long-term consequences; it isn't until much later that their little crime is discovered and their new toys revoked for a few days, banished to the cruel fate of having to share the (incredibly sticky) iPad with Geten (who is also incredibly sticky in that special way that only toddlers can achieve).
But rather than any arguing amongst the pair of them over who is to blame for the latest credit card incident (as this sort of incident occurs more often than it should, really), they must instead act as a united front against the true enemy: Geten. They come to the conclusion that it was his fault, since he broke the LeapPad that they just had to get replaced—an argument that had fallen upon deaf ears, unfortunately. Which means they must enact their own form of justice by shunning him. Lest they face another Chocolate Extreme incident, where there were no survivors and everyone was subjected to a bath by the end of it. No, they won't be playing with him or the yucky iPad, and instead are gunning for Re-Destro's phone (given that their own were confiscated once again due to their shopping spree). Somehow they do manage to get their hands on it and Tomoyasu unlocks it for them using his rather impressive hacking skills (i.e., remembering the pattern to swipe). Their mission successful, they are going to download so many games, they are...immediately buying more LeapPads, per Tomoyasu's request for another since the new one was confiscated and Koku's desire to show-off how well he can operate the phone. They might learn their lesson this next time. Maybe. And so the cycle is complete, and they can return to their regularly scheduled MLA business come Monday.

About & Info [My Hero Academia]
OOC Info // includes rules, contact info, rp status, and other blogs
this is a multi-muse blog mainly used interact with other (multi-muse) RP blogs, and to test out RP characters from the My Hero Academia manga/anime.
the lists below contain canon MHA characters I have RPed as before, these I will probably be more accurate with their portrayal. Usually it helps that I’m a fan of them myself!
I have no RP experience with some of the muses listed, which will be stated. I will do my best to portray them though, just might need around a thread or two to get the hang of how I want to RP the muse!
Please specify which muse clearly in your ask/starter/mention. If not then I’ll probably go ask you to confirm, or assume it is a certain muse if it is obvious enough.
All romantic ships will be straight, and NSFW threads will be (mostly) vanilla, tagged and put under a ‘Read More’ appropriately. Feel free to contact/ask if you’re unsure or for specifics.
Anything containing (talking about) adult themes will be tagged under nsfw-ish and or suggestive, mostly for sinday things.
I am open to try requests and other male MHA canons, as long as I have a good enough idea on character, and that I find them interesting enough to RP. Can’t promise I’ll do the canon portrayal justice, but I’ll do my best!
this blog is OC friendly, however I will decline any requests that I find uncomfortable with, or don’t see (my version) of the canon muse doing.
this is optional but please send/IM me a ‘2mha4u’ to show that you’ve read, thanks!

The Student (Geten Short Story)
The figure was cloaked in a blue parka and his face shrouded under a hood. He pushed open the doors of the council room. In the room was a crescent shaped table symmetrical from where he was standing. A lone man sat to the left of the centre, dressed in that pin-stripe suit. That man used to sit in the centre, but he was dethroned – Dethroned by a ragtag group of hooligans.
“Geten.” Rikiya Yotsubashi acknowledged as he looked up at the creak of the door.
His boots clacked against the tiles, echoing throughout the chamber as Geten walked up to the man in the suit.
“So you come here to relive the old days.” Geten crossed his arms. “Back when it was just the five of us.”
“I have other reasons to be here tonight.”
“I only have one.” From his pocket, Geten took out five ice cubes, each the size of his palm, and placed them on the table. “Do you remember these?”
“Yes. Your third lesson.”
“Good. I’m here to finish my training.”
“Training meta abilities is a ritual, a ritual spanning one’s entire life.” Re-destro quoted his father’s book verbatim.
“You misunderstand.” A chill crept into his voice and down Re-destro’s spine. “I’m finishing my training under you.”
“I see. You think you’ve learnt everything from me?”
“I know I have.” Geten waved his arm with the carelessness of a king dismissing his servant, and the cubes separated into smaller cubes with flawless precision. “I’ve learnt everything I needed to, and even more that I should never have.”
Geten clenched his fist, and the cubes combined into one, which slammed onto the table. “Separate the cubes and then combine them. That was your lesson, which I failed at first. And you punished me heavily.”
“Is this about the grudges that which you bear against me?” Yotsubashi leaned back on his chair.
“It’s more than that,” Geten hissed. ‘I accepted my torture because I strived to improve. Even when I was on the brink of death, all those years ago, you told me that to die is to be a martyr for the others to liberate themselves. My death would not be in vain.”
Geten fixated his eyes onto his old mentor’s, all respect for him shattered. “So what did I learn, Yotsubashi, from your last lesson? It was one you never meant to teach, but I learnt it from afar. As I watched you chop off your legs to survive, and as I watched you kowtow to Shigaraki, I learnt that you’re nothing more than a hypocrite.”
“So you wish to finish Shigaraki’s job?”
“Not yet. I want to pour my eighteen years of sorrow unto you first.”
“You see the state I’m in? I have no qualms about that.”
“Oh, I’m sure you will. Because when a man is going to die – when they think they’re going to die, they will want to live, no matter what cause they stand for. And I’m going to prove it.”
“Carry on, then.” The lack of emotion on Re-destro’s face incensed him.
Geten forced himself to stay calm. “When you tossed me into the Arctic Ocean for my tenth lesson, to survive with the ice I had, I nearly died. I was shivering in the cold, wasting away on a floating piece of ice, and I thought I would never see Deika City again…” He swallowed. “I told myself, my death would be a stepping stone for others. You told me to take comfort in that fact. But no, I didn’t want to die. I didn’t care if I would be glorified in death. I wanted to live.”
Geten tightened his fists in his pocket as he stared at the ground. “I struggled with that ever since then, believing that I was a blasphemer against Destro’s teachings, for wanting to live rather than strive for liberation for all, even at the cost of my life.
He stared at Re-destro. “Then I saw how you survived rather than perish as a martyr. It confused me at first, but then I came to this revelation.”
“There is a beating heart within us. Destro said as much, but it is not for the glories of Liberation,” He spat the phrase as he said it. “It is because we are alive, and we want to keep it that way, no matter what beliefs we ascribe to.”
“Then you have twisted Destro’s teachings,” Rikiya said, matching Geten’s coldness in his tone.
“No, no. You lie.” Geten hissed. “You were afraid of death, so you reduced yourself to this...pitiful form, a husk of your former glory — if there was any to begin with, to simply survive.”
“No.” Re-destro said, but there was an edge to his voice. He was slipping.
“Admit it!” Apocrypha snarled. “You could not die a martyr, so you lived a cripple.”
“Silence!” Yotsubashi roared as he rose to his feet, towering over Geten, but the Iceman stayed defiant, glaring at him in the eye.
“It’s time I removed you from a position you had no right to be in. I’ll make strength my own teaching,” Geten said as the ice levitated off the table, thrumming with power. “And I don’t need books and sermons to learn.”
The supersized arm came at him in a sweeping motion, a blur of blue-black. Geten leapt back as the ice cubes flew towards Geten, unravelling and interlocking. They formed a platform underneath Geten that he rose above Yotsubashi with.
Yotsubashi bellowed, his form expanding. Once Geten had beheld and feared that titan, but now a malicious grin on his face, . Now the fight would be interesting, and when he won, it would prove he won indisputably.
“I could go for your legs. They are your weak points…” he mused, eliciting a roar from Rikiya. “But no.”
He sent a barrage of ice spears at Re-destro. They pierced into his arms as thick as tree trunks which he used to block.
“A weak attack.” Re-destro snarled.
Geten smirked. He opened his palm. Rikiya’s face was ghost-pale as he stared at his wound. It barely penetrated the many layers of skin, but it was enough to reach his bloodstream.
“Getting cold, Yotsubashi?”
“You...what did you –” He gasped as he dropped to his knees, his eyes forced to stare, unblinkingly, at Geten’s raised arm.
“I froze the water in your blood. Were you unaware of how much I’ve trained?” Geten swept his right arm downwards, which forced Re-destro to the ground. While his hand shook to keep the rabid dog on the ground, he slowly lowered the temperature, until he had no more strength to struggle, a sufficient anaesthesia. His form deflated, returning to the skinny man shuddering on the cracked tiled floor.
“So?”
Geten’s voice was tiny compared to the vastness of the chamber, but it had the weight to fill it. Once upon a time, Re-destro’s voice did, but no more.
“Finish it, then.” Yotsubashi whispered, his tongue growing numb.
Geten raised his hands again, and the ice around him collected like iron filings to a magnet to form ten icicles.
“You sound...resigned,” Geten said, moving the icicles closer, like a pack of vultures over a lion keeled over the grass.
Re-destro looked up to see needles hovering an inch from his face. His skin bleached, as though the chill of the ice was sapping his life.
“You wouldn’t dare.” Was what Rikiya said — but Geten found the term “whimpered” more appropriate.
The wielder of Cryokinesis hopped off his platform, squatted down and grabbed Re-destro’s head, tilting it up to look at him.
“No, I wouldn’t. Not when you can still prove your strength, when you can prove to me you deserve to live.” Geten dropped his head like a toy and stood up.
With a flick of his arm, the ice coalesced and rooted themselves to the ceiling like a crystal chandelier, beautiful and deadly like a stiletto. The sharp tip glistened with the promise of death as they hung over Yotsubashi, a sword eager to pierce true.
He waved as he left the room, sending a small fissure through the ice, enough to make it hang there for a while before it cracked.
“Five minutes to crawl out of there, Rikiya. I’ll leave the decision to you. Have a good night.”
Geten closed the door behind him.
––––––––
My entry for the first day of the Geten week. I was always planning to write something on the MLA teachings. I originally planned to write a multi-POV short story of random soldiers who died, but in their last moments they didn’t want the MLA preachings of martyrdom. Then the Geten thing came up and I switched.
Hope you guys liked it. Prompt was power/weakness right?

Geten (Part 2)
(Part 1)
Specifically, focusing Geten in Chapter 271/during this current ‘War’ arc:
Tumblr media
Look at his face! Bloodshot eyes and a vein about to pop. Geten’s ferociously  livid and about to slaughter some Heroes. (also I wanna point out that they’re actually addressing him as ‘Geten-sama’ still.)
In the Paranormal Liberation Front, Geten serves as one of the nine Lieutenants, and with Dabi, they lead the the ‘Violet’ Vanguard Action Guerilla Warfare Regiment.
Tumblr media
It’s a mouthful! Dictionary.com defines ‘guerilla warfare’ as: “the use of hit-and-run tactics by small, mobile groups of irregular forces operating in territory controlled by a hostile, regular force.”
We’re aren’t told exactly what the Violet Regiment does, but I’m guessing they’re sort of first attacking force of the army - on the offensive; aiming at weak spots and key areas of Hero society; being quick, brutal, and unexpected to cause as much damage (to infrastructure, morale, personnel, etc) as possible to the Heroes.
Which makes sense! Dabi’s fire can destroy a good part of a city, as can Geten’s ice.
Making the two of them leaders, though. Well, it’s as one of the MLA member Sanctum said to Twice, they’re kinda figureheads handed their position (it’s true of the whole League save Shigaraki, really) - true for Dabi, definitely; and it seems true for Geten too, although he at least had some history of being a superior in the army. Still.
Geten as a commander
Despite being “central to the Liberation Army’s success” and being greatly respected, Geten never was given any leadership position that we knew of during My Villain Academia.
It’s probably because he’s shit at caring about his fellow warriors. Mr. Compress notes this in Chapter 230.
Tumblr media
His massive ice attacks are indiscriminate, destroying whole streets and anyone unlucky enough to be there, friends and foe alike. It doesn’t seem to be calculated sacrifice for a larger goal - Geten is simply callous and reckless.
He’s still the same about three months later, despite having a regiment under his responsibility and in the middle of a battle where the army probably should keep as many of their numbers as possible.
Tumblr media
Here’s him essentially destroying what’s left of the mansion, tossing everyone - allies and heroes - into the air; and interrupting Dabi’s attack that would have at least taken out the Number 2 Hero.
The irresponsibility extends off the battlefield - here’s Geten missing from a PLF meeting:
Tumblr media
(Even Gigantomachia is there! idk, maybe he forced his way in and no one can make him leave, and I’m not quite sure the significance of this, but it says something that Machia is attending and Geten is just not.)
So it’s safe to say he isn’t very leadership material; he doesn’t know or ignores what leadership entails, and if he keeps up his preferred method of destructive attacks, he’s not going to have anything to lead either.
He does know how to “command” at least somewhat, however - or that’s what I think is implied in Chapter 271.
Breakout
Tumblr media
(Same image as above, except Viz translation + another panel)
Who could forget this awesome scene? Geten doing a signature ice explosion, wrecking everything - and there he is, on the battlefield, attention all on him, calling the Heroes “dogs of the state” and telling them they will not die peaceful deaths. Damn. He has correctly assessed the situation! He’s giving orders! Got a strategy!
A sound strategy - and an actual one discussed in real military tactics: concentrate combat power on one location and rupture the enemy line.
(info I found through googling here, here, and here.)
An encircled force attacks by using the rupture force to penetrate the enemy defensive positions in at least one location. The commander must produce overwhelming combat power at each breakout point...
...The mission [is] to penetrate the enemy's encircling position, widen the gap, and hold the shoulders of the gap until all other encircled forces can move through.
It’s simplified here, and it’s kinda obvious, but it’s still exactly what one should do when they’re in a siege-like situation, i.e. surrounded, all routes, communication and reinforcement blocked and cut off.
I’ve half-joked about him being dumb and maybe illiterate because he bragged about not going to school, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he wasn’t taught things and given an education. (Like Shigaraki!) He’s obviously learned some military tactics and commanding along with his quirk training.
So yeah, Geten is doing everything right.
The prospect of such a grouping of forces, placed in a confusing and desperate situation, makes unity of command and unity of effort absolutely essential. The most senior combat arms officer must establish his authority immediately.
Especially in rallying the troops. It could be coincidental, he’s just angry and shouting at his soldiers to do finally something right; yet he’s still done it.
And Geten does it alongside another action: he removes his hood.
Tumblr media
In a meta sense, it’s likely to establish Geten as a character - he’s not a faceless mook, he’s not creepy ‘two glowing eyes in darkness’ enemy; he’s a character with a name and a (very pretty) face, that we can relate to and maybe even like. (That he mentions Re-Destro, the only person we know he cares about, and shows protectiveness/concern, adds to that.) He’s portrayed here in a way to make him badass, in a defining moment where the PLF gains some control of the situation, for us to cheer on.
In-story though, the reason is more unclear? to me, anyways. During his battle with Dabi, he never removed his hood then. Here, is it to literally face the Heroes, to show that he doesn’t care if his face is known, to go head to head with them? Is it to show his men that he’s here, let the sight of his pretty face re-energize them, he’s at the frontlines fighting too? His quirk makes it obvious who he is, he needn’t show his face.
Despite his disregard for other soldiers of the army, I’ve got a feeling that this is some sort of symbolic gesture to motivate them. Get their attention, establish his authority, finally be a bit of a leader. Cuz, man, the situation really calls for it.
The Ice
When the attack began, we see Geten running towards the frontlines (chapter 263):
Tumblr media
(tiny note: Dabi is heading the opposite direction from everyone - going to help out Twice - but Geten, his co-leader, doesn’t pay attention to him at all. No ‘where the fuck are you goin’, nothing. Feel like they would’ve noticed each other, but no interaction here.)
From what we can see, Geten doesn’t show up until Chapter 271, a length of time enough to have Hawks confront Twice, Dabi intervene, Hawks kills Twice, Dabi fanboys Stain, Tokoyami to the rescue, and a little more. Let’s say... 15, 20 minutes?
So he’s missing from the frontlines at the start of the battle - I say he was probably trying to generate an absurd amount of ice during that time. This villa probably has a kitchen with some ice, but not enough. I’m guessing Geten went to find a water source (multiple of water sources?), froze it all, in preparation for the ice explosion. In preparation for him to create a battlefield to his advantage.
Tumblr media
So it looks the ice has engulfed the mansion, going up several stories, as well as spreading out to the mansion’s surroundings. A bunch of people are surrounded by ice - like Gang Orca there, right next to a wall of it.
We know Geten has fine enough skill to shape ice to whatever he wants, and his range of control (and sense?) is massive. Whoever is standing on or is close to the ice - they’re in Geten’s territory, he controls the very ground they’re standing on.
Go get ‘em, Geten.
*
Part 3 is next! Will be focusing on Geten’s relationship with ReDestro, and other miscellaneous details. Feel free to suggest anything too.
*
I could very much be over-estimating Geten’s intelligence! So don’t my word here too much. I’m sure there are a couple reaches here to. Constructive criticism is always appreciated!
Note: a friend pointed out a reach in Part 1, which will be edited:
I think the fact that [Geten] targeted Dabi as his opponent, despite the obvious weakness his ice has to Dabi’s high-temperature flames, means he was looking for a challenge. Trying to show off, trying to prove that he can go up against his greatest enemy (as in, heat and fire) and come out on top.
It’s more likely that ReDestro had assigned Geten on the Dabi-hunt, given the panel from Chapter 238 where ReDestro is telling Geten to be wary of Dabi’s long-range flames. If there was any strategy to having Geten target Dabi, it could’ve been the general plan, rather than Geten’s own thing.
thanks for reading!

That face you make in Season Six when you tell the dogs of the state they won't die easy deaths, but then you stare down at their people fighting your people, and you decide to roll an avalanche over them all and fkn kill everybody.
I wanted to post propaganda of my new favorite ship but have this instead.

// since geten lovingly refers to heroes as ‘dogs of the state’ i might have him refer to students in hero courses as pups... chase from paw patrol kinnies the lot of them

I’d like to think geten hates heroes because of what happened to his sister (rei). But that’s honestly just a Headcanon
Not a completely implausible one, though. He calls heroes "dogs of the state." Though the particular language sort of just parrots the MLA'S core philosophies, would resonate with someone who's family was sold and overlooked by the state when they could have stepped in and done something about it - especially if that whole HPSC meta I made turns out to be correct.
It could also explain why the need to be powerful in his own right would be so important to him even if the MLA were removed from the situation - powerful people stand up for themselves and their loved ones, you can't just push them around and have your way with them.
We don't have much on him right now, but I'm sure we will in not too long.

Magic Ask: Dabi also gets his own emotional support cat. A Birman cat. These cats are very calming with their sweet, soft meows. Their fur is also very soft which could help Dabi if he has anxiety. If Shu, Tomura or Geten want an emotional support animal, they can say so. They just have to state if they like cats or dogs more. Although I already know what Tomura would like.

' i'm trying to do what's best for the army --- for liberation. can't you see that ? ' :^)
Tumblr media
HE STARES THROUGH HIM AS IF HE WEREN’T REALLY THERE.
TOMOYASU is almost tempted to avoid reacting at all– to pretend he hadn’t heard the man in the slightest, and to simply continue on about his business as if he didn’t exist whatsoever. But that’s too cruel– even for him.
To some extent, he still cares– no matter how demoralized he was.
“I did as you asked– I followed every single order to the letter. It was YOUR decision to meet them in combat, and when you realized you’d bitten off more than you could chew, you rolled over like an absolute fucking dog. Don’t you dare imply I’m not doing what I can for MY family; don’t you lie there and act as if you did all you could.“
“What does LIBERATION mean if you merely handed us over like an item?”
“And what of those that PERISHED in your name? What did they die for, Rikiya?“
Tumblr media
“Stop acting so fucking entitled. It’s your fault, too.” He sneers, fidgeting with one of his sleeves irritably as he scowls down at his so-called leader. “I’m mad at you– even after everything, YOU’RE SO FUCKING FULL OF YOURSELF.  You can SAY it was for us, but what have you done to make any of us believe it? You can say a lot of things, you know. But no matter what words pass through your UNGRATEFUL lips– NONE OF THEM WAS AN APOLOGY.”
“You’re worthless– you’re lower than low. You just handed us over to the very people you’d sought to destroy as if none of it had been your idea, and now you can’t even bear the thought of someone taking OFFENSE to your “SELFLESS” decision.“
“Why bother even opening your fucking mouth? You don’t care about me. I don’t mean a single fucking thing to you– so what does it matter how I feel or what I say?”
“…. Whatever makes you feel better or helps you sleep at night, I guess.“
“– You still have Geten, so don’t talk to me. You aren’t my leader anymore. You already stated yourself that the army doesn’t even BELONG to you anymore, so don’t bother lifting a fucking finger in my direction. If I don’t even deserve so much as an apology for all that I’ve sacrificed in your name, then I have nothing to say to you.”
“You’re on your own. Hope it was worth it.“
