thoughts on this update and references i found!! a lot of references to the games. like. A LOT. i feel like i might have missed some 😭

first time doing one of these posts because usually i am comically late to see each update-

legend worrying about twi!! i love how he's teasing but you can tell he definitely cares about both of them

"does he still give you trouble" i think this is a reference back to that one post where twi tells sky not to let legend push him around, and sky tells him that people like legend aren't bullies

the way jojo gives them each their own body language! i might have missed some, but wars standing with one hand on his hip, wild doing the thing where he ruffles the back of his hair (he does this in gerudo town as well! i remember some of the others like sky and wind doing this in their games, i don't think it's out of embarrassment though) and twilight playfully pushing wild and saying "get out of here!" which he also did with wars in the dawn arc! he also puts his hand on other's shoulders A LOT. he's done it with wild a good few times, and legend, hyrule, and wars if i remember correctly

"you good?" "yeah" "no, are you good?" i think something similar occurred with four and twilight when they were leaving the inn as well!

"how you handle the world around you separates a boy from a man, it's not the battles you win but how you choose to endure what is set before you" i thought the first part of what time said could be a reference to ocarina of time with the 7 yr time jump, bc try and tell me he didn't have to suddenly start handling the world around him differently after how different everything was when he woke up...and speaking of handling things differently, botw is the game where there's so many different ways to handle each scenario! so it's cool that this is what he's choosing to say to wild, because he'd probably understand that you can approach one problem from many directions

twilight and wild. they're so brothers!!! they're so relaxed and casual with each other! i feel like this is gonna be a HUGE contrast to when wild splits up with wars

again with twi and wild, the fact that neither of them want to be paired with wars is sending me oh my god...and wild imitating twilight from when they entered the dungeon is!!! i definitely laughed at that part LOL (i laughed at multiple parts. this whole update is filled with silly moments oh my gosh)

references to their games as they split off!! wild with his torch, the shot of sky from the back and then to him steeling himself to enter (just like with all the sksw dungeons!!) and wind yelling "come on!" at time just like he did in wind waker! legend, twilight, and four with the lanterns (alltp, albw, tp, and fsa had lanterns!) and hyrule with the candle from loz and taol!!

again with the lanterns! (i might be looking too far into this...) wind looking kind of nervously at four, wind waker had lanterns hanging in really dark areas that surrounded link in a little bit of light so the player can see a bit of the surroundings. another thing i think might be making wind a little nervous is that the moblins in wind waker also held lanterns that looked similar (if im remembering correctly 💀)

i've seen a good few people talking about how time is talking more like the heroes shade as he worries about twi and i def agree! "and be safe..." PLEASE HE'S SO STRESSED GIVE THIS MAN A BREAK

One of the fankid OCs I've made inspired by one of @hantengudelulu's stories because I couldn't be normal or mentally well and decided to give someone else's OC a child💃(for context Aina is Yuka and Hantengu's daughter)

I was planning on ranting about the art process or ramble about Aina here, but my head is very empty right now 💀 Guess I'll come back here to do all that later??

But here's some bonus older art of her that I made back in December 👀

Update: Ok time to rant and ramble lol. So firstly I originally had designed Aina wearing more western style shoes (Mary Janes or something similar), but changed it to the Zori + Tabi combo last minute for some reason (I honestly don't remember right now). Kind of wish I kept it to be the Mary Janes because those would have been far easier for me to draw 🙃 Also had ideas of adding some lighting from the fire, but I felt like it was a bit much with everything else going on even though it did look really nice.

Didn't initially plan on coloring parts of the lineart, but tried it out on a whim and it looked cool so went with it. Also wish I didn't do this since it ended up being really tedious trying to both color and shade it because my (potentially) ADHD ass brain doesn't line certain things on the layer where it should've been so some things would just stop being colored in/shaded and I would have to dig around all kinds of layers until I found where the tiny chunk of the line was 🙃🙃🙃🙃

Also don't know how to draw or color fire 💃

Struggled so much throughout this piece (especially the clothes omg 💀 couldn't find references at all for how the clothes would work at that angle and pose so I had to wing it) and I was being extra hard on myself because I was both going to post this publicly and that it's art of one of my OCs and I wanted to make a good impression.

But enough about art struggles™ I want to talk a tiny bit about my gorl now (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

So she's a half-demon because I'm ✨ original ✨ (I just find the concept to be interesting in the context of Demon Slayer. Always been a sucker for hybrids in most things)

She does have a BDA (fire manipulation/creation) due to her being a child of a Kizuki and an Upper Moon at that. I imagine it having a lot of similar traits to (if not straight up copying) firebending in ATLA with a few additions here and there. Decided on that being her BDA because it fits her name/theme of love. Love, devotion, and passion have often been associated with fire through metaphors and symbolism. Plus Yuka's penchant for using fire against the clones being expressed/referenced through her child is both neat and funny in a symbolic way.

And her birthday is on April 4th 🎉 Decided on that month and day because haha double death number (the superstition of the number 4 being unlucky due to one of the pronunciations of it 'Shi' (し) being a homonym for death (死)). I can imagine Hantengu freaking the hell out over it because he was shown to be paranoid over specific numbers and stuff in canon so this will definitely scare him and think that his poor daughter is cursed or will die young or something lol

I have so much more information, ideas, headcanons, and other random things my brain has created (I have a giant ass Google Doc dedicated to her lmao), but I feel like this has gone on for long enough lol

I survived getting half my sleeve lined but boy am I sore. Tattoos on your hand are the absolute pits. Like no joke, hand tattoos are rough my guys. 10/10 do not recommend, but I'm doing it because it looks cute LOL.

This tattoo will be a tea themed sleeve. Featured on this half: hibiscus, chamomile, green tea leaves, raspberries + raspberry leaf, and lemons. I have another appointment in December and January to get the shading done but for now just lines!

I did not have tea with this chapter but that is okay- let's get into the notes!

Dang! So the realm merging begins! I am sad though that they don't want SQQ to go, but I get it; he keeps running away or getting grievously injured. Also it's so weird that no one is really questioning how he has this much knowledge of future events, they just kind of accept it and run with it LOL (except Luo Binghe who has done the most questioning). pp256-257

For Roy, it is like the easiest thing 💀

He's extremely naive and gets affected by anything people say unless it's about his sound systems.

Mollie though, she trusts her gut feeling about this one. If her gut says "peak person talk to them I like them hell yeah" she does so. If her gut says "Point at a non-existent bird and leave immediately." That's her call.

6- Do they consider laws flexible or immovable

Mollie doesn't care much about it, like unless she's fined it's up to her judgement of what's right at that moment. Maybe she would make noise in a hospital or jaywalk but she would never steal anything.

Roy is pretty dependent of laws in general. But for him *sometimes* it just depends on the situation and depends on the rule.

But no he wouldn't make noise in a hospital.

26- What is their preferred mode of transportation?

For Mollie, I think we all know the answer 🤭

Her favorite places to be carried is pocket and shoulder perch. Shoulder because she can kiss him or hug him whenever she wants and pocket because she can just get cozy. Not in summer though, that place gets really hot.

Roy walks almost everywhere unless he's trying to get to another city or doesn't want to lose time. It helps him to stay in the moment and just notice nice things. He likes the feeling of the sun ☀️☀️☀️

D) Have they always have the same physical appearance or have you had to edit the way they look?

Mollie always looked the way she currently does! Well, almost. Her eyes used to be less energetic but that was when i was the minorest minor and didn't care much about character design and did what I liked the best. (It was when she was some kind of a self insert so she was an introvert and pessimistic and she had less character depth)

Oh also she used to be a lot younger. Like 19 yo or something like that (old mollie design definitely looks older than that though)

I also didn't care much about character designing. This was roughly how he appared out of nowhere in my head when I first decided his name so he would feel "more alive". But then i designed his face and he had an unfitting bitch face for a long while because at that time this was what i was into that time. Also this was long before i started drawing the comic**

It looks like his skintone was cooler here, it's definitely warmer now. His hair was more light colored and now it's darker and more brownish.

His eyes still have that weight but he doesn't look

Now he actually just looks so squishable. He doesn't really looks as thin, he's just average. He also used to be a lot younger. Same as Mollie. Like 19 or so.

Sketch is fine but the final render is just not him in none of the Roy renders. None looks exactly like how I picture him. But mollie is just herself everytime lol

F) What do you feel when you think of your oc?

I love Mollie but Ah man sometimes she pisses me off real bad. I don't even know the reason 💀

But yeah I love her so much. She's my little gremlin 🤭

I love Roy. I get excited when i think of him. But he also pisses me off sometimes, makes me wanna play pop to him for eight hours straight.

H) What trait do you admire the most?

Mollie? Her energy! She's like this crazy woman of the neighborhood if you know her well enough. Her dad jokes too.

Roy? The staring. His honesty and loyalty, too. He doesn't really hide his emotions, from his close ones at least.

Both? They're both weird in their own way and I love that.

Talking a little on the recent mangas I've started reading this week😗✨📚(two of them are new to me, for the others, I've picked up on the manga after finishing their current anime seasons) 💚THERE MIGHT BE SPOILERS💚

1) Tomodachi Game:

So i think I've only read up to around 12 chapters or so and it's so good????

The roller-coaster of emotions it's making me have though- like i started loving Tenji with my whole heart and soul then he...disappointed me. Then he earned my trust again- a whole twist.

Yuuichi is a pretty good MC so far. Bro is a cutie.

Sawaragi pisses me off a little. Idk how to explain it though.

Yuutori my girl 💜

Shibe um... 💀💀💀 Yeah. And no i don't dislike him for what he tried to do in chapter 2 or so. I just... He's too dumb.

Also the art?????? Muah

I watched some scenes of the anime in the beginning after i read a couple of chapters and it's...disappointing. Even the animation is wonky.

But just- the art style has me in luvvvv

Manabu-kun keeps on gaslighting, gatekeeping and girlbossing every chapter.

Also, I'm praying for my boy Yuuichi's sanity. At first i was like "Sawaragi, i get hes cute but WHAT do u see in him??" and i see now. My girl has some amazing taste, at least for that.

So I started reading it right after the events of season 3, of course.

So i have two volumes of Demon Slayer at home and i gotta say, the art improved and it's nice to have seen it grow. I know it's like this for most mangakas, but here i didnt see a whole art style change or whatever but something becoming finer while keeping that style very present.

The story is at its peak right now, i reached up to the point where Muzan decided to heehee himself in the no-no place for him. (idk how to say this without spoiling)

I wanted to share some nice Rin pics but guess it'll be for another time. (yall will be missing out on my man)

So, i picked up from where the first season stops and-

I miss Kunigami. A lot. He was one of my favs 😭😪

Shidou is special (him telling Isagi he'd love to see him explode again got me praying for him fr)

The story has taken a nice turn with the U-20 team rushing things up. I love it but i want to see Sae play already so I'm being an impatient little bug.

The art is MUAH as always. I love the lines added for light shading, ill probably inspire myself off it for future drawings.

Hiori needs to be friends with Chigiri so they can talk about hair products (Hiori is like a short-haired Chigiri with cyan hair. My boy has naturally long lashes (Rin's remain better 💅)

stage name A-TROPHY, real name airelle aureate (she/it), the group's leader sorta. does a lot of the lyric writing and planning and was defo the regina george of their group in school. i feel like she has the most insane vocal range from ethereal angelic being to bog spirit

stage name THRONE (any), i never came up with a real name for them whoops 💀 does more of the logistical side of planning like A-TROPHY'll go "i think we should play here" and THRONE'll go through all the getting permits and signing up at a venue and whatever. the gretchen wiener, if you would. also does a lot of PR managing

stage name RIME, real name khione hirose (they/he), absolute lad. THRONE hates them (affectionately) because they cannot do PR speak they are a rude lil shit. THRONE's just glad it works with his image as the most punk one there. music theory nerd, along with BRIDGE they're mostly the ones putting A-TROPHY's lyrics and the semblance of melody it has into a full song. i didn't miswrite on the mag cover though :)

i'm pretty sure the lore i had for them is they were high school friends that pursued music together or something like that. they were all kinda freaks back in school so they ended up together cause no one else wanted them. these're fun designs i should do more with them again tbh. also here's the reference for the poses!

The phone ringed, Argyle was the one to pick it up. Luckily it was no one else.

"Hey man! Surfer Boy's Pizza speaking!" Argyle spoke into the phone.

"Glad it's you, the dr- ' purple palm tree delight ' is out. The next ' shipment ' is next week." A deep voice said over the phone; He seem like he wanted to be done with this call fast.

"Aw seriously dude? You don't got any?" Argyle frowned as he spoke back to the man on the other side of the line.

"Yes, as I said it comes in next week. Hope you understand." The man hung up. Leaving Argyle on an empty line.

Argyle decided to place the phone back in its holder, His shift ended in about 25 minutes so he should be good to go. He's been planning on smoking with Jonathan, but since his plans have been foiled he decided he'd just annoy him the rest of the afternoon.

Argyle finished cleaning his station, soon exciting to the van that gets payed for by Surfer Boy's Pizza. The engine started and he was off to see the Byer's family.

He soon reached the house; Knocking on the door.

"Hello Argyle! Wasn't expecting you today, would you like me to get Jonathan?" Joyce asked the slightly taller male that stood in-front of her.

"Nah it's cool man! I can get him myself." Argyle smiled at her, then walked past her towards Jonathan's room.

Instead of knocking on this door though he barged right in instead.

"Wassup Jonathan man!" Argyle said quite loud as he entered a new room in the house.

"Oh! Hey Argyle, what are you doing here?" Jonathan you was not expecting company today.

"Well dude, The guy who sells me our stuff said he can't make another ' trade ' until next week!" He whined.

"Are you currently Argyle?" Jonathan wasn't concern on how he got here. He's always high while driving.

"Nah bro i'm like so low! Oh," He reached into his shirt pocket.

"This is the last I got! Thinkin' we could split it dude?"

Jonathan shook his head no. He's been to worried to get high recently. Or rather lost in thoughts; He covers it as 'worried' though.

"But it's the last we got! You have to man." Argyle insists.

"N-No i'm really alright man. I swear." Jonathan looked up, making eye contact with the bloodshot ones.

"Fine. You're lame dude." Argyle said before snorting the crack

Argyle has been at the Byer's residence for at least a good two hours now. He's been sitting on the bed right next to Jonathan the whole time.

"Argyle, I think you should get going now. It's late." Jonathan states glancing over to the clock on his nightstand.

"But dude. I won't be able to get high for a week. I'll need to talk to someone! And you're like my only friend dude." Argyle said flipping over to his stomach so he could make eye contact once again.

Jonathan smiled, not because Argyle didn't have many other friends, oh no. But he did just say that he wants to spend time with him though.

"Alright fine. How about you come back tomorrow then?"

"Ughh! You're so lame dude. But I will."

The two sat up. But before Argyle left. He gave a light kiss to Jonathan's cheek. Leaving the shorter male's cheeks to flush a light pink shade.

"See you tomorrow dude!" Argyle said as he walked out of Jonathan's room, soon leaving his house.

The next day Argyle returned, he seemed a little drowsy Jonathan thought. However Jonathan was still confuse about the peck that Argyle gave him yesterday.

"Hey man!" Argyle said in his normal booming voice.

Jonathan nodded. His sleep has been bad recently, he's hardly been getting enough.

"You alright?" Concern lacing his tone.

"Yeah, Yeah i'm fine Argyle" Jonathan smiled up at him. Argyle didn't buy it.

"I have an idea dude!"

Jonathan nodded for him to continue speaking.

"What if we go watch the stars tonight? I heard they were gonna be pretty!" He smiled.

"Sure, What do you want to do until then?" He smiled back to him.

"Maybe we could learn to play that one game with Will and Jane?" Argyle suggested.

"Dungeons and Dragons?"

"Yeah that one!"

"Nice Jane! You killed it." Will smiled at her.

"Thank you Will." She smiled back, it was her first time playing a game with him. Or a board game in general. Hopper had some at the cabin, but he never had the chance to play with her.

Jonathan smiled at the three others, Some of his favorite people in the world. All together. It made him smile.

Argyle noticed him smile at the two younger kids. It caused him to smile and laugh.

It was now 8:03 pm, the sun was setting and Jonathan and Argyle were getting ready to leave. Grabbing blankets a few pillows and some snacks.

"Ready to go man?" Argyle asked as he held the keys, two blankets and a light blue pillow.

"Yeah! I'm ready" Jonathan said. He may have been lightly dozing off into a nap, right against the cupboard.

They soon placed all of the stuff into the back so it'll be easier to make their fort into the back later.
