Playing a dangerous game and maybe drinking coffee at night will generate some thoughts about Gravity's crew but what I like is how they have an ideological contrast to Blue Space (then! the difference is further emphasized through familial motifs) prior to Gravity being captured

#transmission from the captain #(i don't have obligations tomorrow aside from things i can do at home so it's fine if i sleep in if i stay up late haha)#(chu yan is definitely the second most recognizable out of blue space and gravity but i am a big blue space person as a whole)#(the scene with old hunter and park ui-gun is really cool and i like some of the implied stuff with reiko in one adaptation)#(zhuo wen being just one out of 7 other scientists on blue space! ...wait i can connect that to chu yan and defeatism)#(though only a defeatist for doomsday battle since he did launch a group vote to enact revenge on trisolaris but anyway)#(zhang behai said that technology worship creates defeatist thinking which that leaves interesting implications for chu yan)#(i like it when my tag rambles go into a “wait a moment.” tangent but i'll elaborate on that later so back to blue space and gravity)#(since chu yan is second most recognizable the first most recognizable is guan yifan from gravity for the ending!)#(though i'm trying to look into gravity more as a whole since i like their contrast with blue space but i haven't focused on individuals)#(compared to chu yan...there's not much about fellow captain joseph morovich so my brain is fuzzy on how to conceptualize him)#(oh yeah the reason why i want to think about gravity is because i have an idea for art! hope i can make it soon)
