well. i started thinking about the dynamic between s2 gi-hun and sang-woo (last seen in this post). then i blacked out and all this got drawn
#NOW BEFORE I SAY ANYTHING ELSE. LET ME MAKE ONE THING CLEAR:#s2 gi-hun does not hate sang-woo. he is frustrated with him and theyre constantly butting heads through out the games yes#but thats still. his childhood best friend and a human being. a human being whos being manipulated by the games into a different nature#gi-hun recognizes that#sang-woo is tryna keep face but you best believe that the self loathing is thru the roof rn#his stomach twists for gi-hun every time he presses o#but he cant leave the games. a few hundred million won barely scratches his debt#he would literally rather kill himself than live another day out in the world#he is also never gonna verbalize any of this to gi-hun are you kidding me hes way too repressed for that conversation. nah he and gi-hun >#> are just gonna keep arguing in circles until idk they either kiss or beat each other up or both#btw dont think too hard about the logistics of this. i just wanted to draw sangihun on the brink of divorce#but for the record: the rest of the s2 gang is still there which i may make some more art abt at a later date#sangihun#cho sang woo#seong gi hun#seong gihun#cho sangwoo#cho sang woo x seong gi hun#squid game fanart#squid game#my art#doodle#queueing this for tmrw cuz ill be kinda busy (i have a surgery consult n some other stuff)#and idk if ill have the time or energy to draw

#out of queue#ani rambles#so the problem i had earlier was ‘i made 2 chains when i wasnt supposed to and everything was whack’#but i fixed it so now its Less Whack.#this is gonna be the hood i have like 12 more rows to stitch which might be a full ball of my yarn#also im understanding how motherfuckers listen to podcasts#i listened to like 4 video essays dissecting hozier lyrics and comparing them to dantes inferno#like my other hobbies (drawing and writing) require imagination and concentration and Specific Vibes#crochet requires a different kind of concentration#but so far its good for listening to new music and videoessays so maybe i’ll try a podcast tomorrow. or friday#tomorrow meaning later today because ITS FIVE AM#AAAAAAAAA

day 9 of working on this comic and I'm sooo so close to being done ! I don't think I've ever spent this long on anything before, I usually start getting self conscious that it's Bad Actually and give up if something takes longer than like 2 days
#only having 2-3 hours a day after work to work on it too is making it take a lot longer#I usually do like 10-12 hour sessions whenever I draw but I haven't had any days off work where I wasn't busy with something else#previous longest project was 4 days spent on a dress up game#now I gotta decide do I post it right away or throw it into the queue for the day after christmas#or post parts of it every day after christmas and post the full thing on new years eve

I've got as many archen posts as i cld find that i rlly liked in my queue already so i went down the archeops tag to use archeops as filler until i find more archen centric stuff to add but man...... almost every archeops post is submas related or focused :(
Like i get it i LOVE the submas but it sucks just a little bit not seeing as much love for archeops on his own.. there a few really good posts though that i yoinked into the queue :>

not me watching the doctor quinn wedding episode and realizing that watching that episode on reruns at age 12 permanently altered my brain to the point that that's just. how i write fade to black romance now 💀

REALLY good fade to black romance. like it's a newly married couple. they're kissing. they draw the shades. they're clearly#very attracted to each other and about to be together in the marital embrace for the first time but the show doesnt (imo) go over the line#it still says hey. this is secret. it's beautiful but it's not yours to see. we're not going to do tricks with a camera to show you#everything but the actual nudity. you're going to have to be okay with that#and i AM. im SO okay with that. im THRILLED to have the chance to enjoy the romance without feeling gross about where it goes#and when they come back! from their honeymoon!!!! both of their friends are happy for them and theyve definitely ~had a nice time~#but it doesnt get gross. it doesnt make it trivial. theyre still so dignified about it#it's just so refreshing. especially since the main character (a woman in her thirties!) is explicitly stated to have waited for marriage#i cant tell you the impact that had on tiny me#well i guess if youve ever read any of my romance you can lolololol
