Why You Should Care About Email Marketing

First, before we dive into the email marketing tools other bloggers are using, I want to give you some insight on why you should care about email marketing. Trust me, email marketing is so much more than just sending emails. It’s strategic and it’s your winning ticket to blogging to profit. So, you should definitely care about email marketing!

If you are going to monetize your blog with affiliate links or your own products, your email list should be a top priority. Your email list is the only thing you own. You can build a deeper connection with your list making them that much more inclined to purchase your affiliate products or your own products.

Generally speaking, your email list will have a 2-6% conversion rate. While that seems small, as you build your list that can mean BIG money! If you’re emailing your list strategic launch sequences both with affiliates and your own products, YOU WILL CASH IN! In simple terms, you should care about email marketing because your money is in your list!

Hello Bar

Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog loves to let her husband, Donnie, make posts from time to time. He posted not just about email marketing tools, but email marketing plugins for WordPress. One of the plugins he mentioned was Hello Bar. While my theme came with a very similar announcement bar (thank you Mel), I realize not all themes have that.

Donnie said, “Hello Bar is most well-known for their thin sign-up or announcement bar that you see at the top of many sites, but you can also create pop-up, slide-in, and page takeover signup forms.” I honestly didn’t realize Hello Bar was capable of so much, and that’s not all! The last of the email marketing tools I’m going to share with you today is one I’ve been mentioning quite a bit lately and it’s for good reason!
